  1. I see people making power at 1.5 bar so you need more boost! BTW if you google Holset HY35 manuals there are a bunch of makers manuals from Cummins.
  2. 1. Its illegal 2. You can get unwanted smalls in the cabin 3. If you don't monitor it you may be dropping oil on the track which will make you very unpopular.
  3. Can you post up your boost curve and power curve? What are you using for boost controland how much boost are you getting? What fuel? Do you know your compression ratio or have you tested with a compression gauge? Got a decent FMIC?
  4. Another vote for the Neo engine - it already has GTR rods and will make 500hp easily. But if you are set on putting the RB26 in something a GTS-4 will be easiest.
  5. This is the only one I can find ATM. When they email them to me I ring them back to get them to explain them to me. Oil Test 2011.09.28 1000km.PDF
  6. I use Motul 300V and unlike apparently most of you I change it after 20,000km (including track days). I have sent samples for oil analysis and the results have suggested there is no reason to change it more often.
  7. GTT should be cheaper and will do the job.
  8. I'm sure you could make it fit but I bet if someone put one in your car without your knowing you would not notice any difference. The claims made for it (better braking etc) seem like hyperbole to me (BS in other words).
  9. Several people have successfully fitted this starter motor but don't know if anyone stocks them in Aus: https://www.circuit-sports.com/products/nissan-oe-replacement-starter-type-2-rb-motor
  10. Have you looked through the RB25 upgraded turbo thread? Lots to see - a quick look shows a GT3076 making 340 or so KW with a GTR intercooler.
  11. Send the pics to Hypergear and ask Tao.
  12. Bananas price: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/nissan/auction-1221671192.htm
  13. Most if not all oil thermostats do not shut off the flow completely but allow a small amount of circulation. You should be able to confirm this by blowing through it (as it should be in the closed position now).
  14. Contact Tony (Blah_Blah above) who may be able to do the labour, or knows of someone who can, and get some indicative pricing for the main options (complete motor swap or replacement block). BTW I have reused the same Tomei H/G three times with no problems - but don't think you can do that with other types.
  15. Option 1 should not cost more than $3K http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/engines/auction-1250747254.htm plus installation should not be more than $1k Maybe things are different in Aus. Try advertising it as a project with lots of work already done - just needs new short block and see what offers you get.
  16. As above they are both unsuitable so send the one you have to Hypergear and tell him what you want it to do.
  17. Nice car. You will need an aftermarket ECU (e.g. Link, Haltech) and watch this:
  18. Hint - try Google - there are loads of entries I don't have the time or inclination to read but you can sift through them.
  19. Motul all the way for me but every car is different. Since you have the oil (one bottle? - what's that in litres>) just chuck it in and try it - your motor won't seize up - just monitor heat, oil pressure etc and see how you go.
  20. I'm sure you'll find someone in Australia but if you want another quote you could try these guys: http://www.gearcutting.co.nz/page.php?id=3
  21. Don't forget GTRs have two turbos so each will not be massive. If all your stuff is stock it will be old and worn. If you can have the car off the road for a bit get Hypertune to do you a rebuilt turbo - either near stock if you want or more power if that's your goal.
  22. Don't know anything about R35 but check if the front diff has a breather and if its coming from there.
  23. Decide on your power goal, the turbo required and then work back from there. Scotty may be able to supply injectors that will work with your existing rail. Don't buy anything until you know what it does and why you need it.
