  1. The Link factory is in Christchurch New Zealand. http://www.linkecu.com/ It is a public holiday today Monday and tomorrow Tuesday. Once the Link is installed you won't need a narrow band sensor.
  2. Which nipple? If you mean the boost source I drilled and tapped a hole in the compressor housing - pretty sure the nipple was less than $10
  3. Try swapping out a known good CAS. Get fuel pressure test.
  4. OP has 20 year old coil packs. The reason for gapping them down is to discourage the spark from taking a short cut to the head instead of through the plug.
  5. To me they just look like connectors i.e. no electronic function.
  6. You can use the built in Map sensor until you get a new turbo and then buy a bigger one - I used a GM 4 bar one. You can use the Link boost solenoid or just buy a Mac valve (the Link is just a rebadged Mac).
  7. They should be fine. The 11 on the end means they are pregapped to 1.1mm so gap them down to 0.8mm. While you have the coils out give them a good clean and if you have some insulating tape or spray give them a coat.
  8. Yes. Get a Hypergear turbo and a Nistune chip.
  9. It will not work out of the box. You need to fit an IAT sensor and connect up a MAP sensor and ideally also (but not necessarily) a solenoid for boost control. Then you will need at a minimum to set the ecu according to the injectors you are using and get a tune. You will not have an OBD port - it comes with a cable which plugs straight into a lap top.
  10. If you can afford an F10 M5 buy one and sell your Skyline to someone who can build it up themselves. If you pay people to do all the mods you are contemplating it will cost you an arm and a leg and it will never be as good as the M5. If you try to do it yourself it looks like it will be a costly learning exercise with an uncertain outcome.
  11. Have you got an oil pressure gauge? 50 oil should be more than enough - maybe there is an problem in the oil supply.
  12. Hi Wayne - if you want to meet up with fellow SAU people put your location in your profile.
  13. These coils are 40Kv (full specs inside) http://www.aemelectronics.com/?q=products/ignition-components/high-performance-coils/high-output-igbt-inductive-smart-coil
  14. $200 cheaper than what? I have bought a few times from this supplier: http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/splitfire-m-45.html
  15. These guys do rebuild kits for R34: http://www.ag-y.com/ Auto Gallery Yokohama gearsets (rebuilt boxes). yes there are upgraded synchro boxes available. I have one in my 32. made by auto gallery yokohama (Koizumi) it's a good box. i've used it for about 5 years with no drama. you can do a mix of the OS box and AGY bits. DJR81, they have their own double cone synchros. they also do various different close ratio gear sets too just like OS Giken. they do a nice transfer case overhaul too. ratio choice: version 1 1= 2,611 2=1,733 3=1,289 4=1,000 5 =0,752 OR (standard ratios I think?): 1 3,214 2 1,925 3 1,302 4 1,000 5 0,752 They have some optional 5th gear choices too: 5 0,842 5 0,826 5 0,800 version 2 close ratio box is: 1 1,903 2 1,476 3 1,186 4 1,000 5 choice of the 3 above.
  16. send them an email http://www.getrag.com/en/products/products.html
  17. Like any engine it needs to be properly balanced if you want to rev it high. Rips has some RB30s spinning at 10,000 rev/min.
  18. Try this link for individual components: http://www.batinc.net/mocal-central.htm or for low price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALUMINUM-ENGINE-OIL-FILTER-RELOCATION-KIT-MALE-FITTING-3-X-NYLON-RAIDED-LINE-/300950089081?hash=item461205ed79:g:sRUAAOxy0P1SDz9q&vxp=mtr
  19. Could be either - next step is leakdown test.
  20. Mocal will have what you need; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MOCAL-3-4UNF-REMOTE-OIL-FILTER-KIT-FIESTA-ESCORT-RS-TURBO-MONDEO-ZETEC-16V-FK0-/122005979225?fits=Plat_Gen%3ARB_&hash=item1c681f8059:m:mpAz1xrw7qDumQk5SWS9UmA In NZ I would just go to a speed shop and pick out what I want - guess it depends where you are.
  21. I think mine was in the LHS of the boot lining.
  22. Just buy the components and build your own.
  23. To see if its getting past the rings build up some speed and then lift off for a few seconds and then accelerate - a puff of smoke at this point suggests you are burning it
  24. No - refer extract from manual above....
