Quiet twin plate? Cusco Copper
KiwiRS4T replied to Anti's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
How much power do you have? You can get some pretty good single plate clutches. -
Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
KiwiRS4T replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Never seen one of those kits. I got an RB26 kit to fit to my Stagea and it was pretty straightforward. If that is a so-called universal kit there could well be some spare parts you can't use. Fit them as best you can and slosh some water around to see what it does. -
Did I install my pod filter correctly?
KiwiRS4T replied to spudtatoe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Put the stock air box back and fit a stock fan shroud and start your mods with decent tyres and suspension. Then you can go faster. Floppy pod will do nothing. -
R33 GTST S2 Injector Advice
KiwiRS4T replied to jameskhorne's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If you think you are going to make mega power you will need a Z32 AFM (and some kind of boost controller). -
URGENT. Please help need 1.3bar or 137kpa radiator cap
KiwiRS4T replied to 30ONA's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Stick any old cap on - should be fine for daily driving. -
No reason why it would idle differently. Running "fine" is very subjective. Ideally you would dyno it to see what is happening but if you could borrow an afr meter that might be of interest.

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
KiwiRS4T replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No, just sub-optimal but probably better than nothing. And I presume you are overfilling the sump by up to a litre (to guard against oil starvation). -
R33 GTST S2 Injector Advice
KiwiRS4T replied to jameskhorne's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Depends on what kind of R34 highflow you have - who did it and what kind of power did they promise? Injectors and AFM will max out at roughly the same time so you could just go with what you have and get 220 - 230kw -

Nope dip stick won't do it. Read the thread (the last half should do you). -
Well put it this way my GT3582 made 320AWKW (426hp) with old school 550s on 98 so you should be right for over 600kw (800hp+)

KiwiRS4T replied to rushmore's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Go them to get your money back. Pity about the air cond but probably won't see a cent for that. Sound like a good outfit to avoid. -
Turbo will give up before injectors

Leak in hose to actuator or faulty actuator (or faulty boost gauge).

A few questions for those of you with Link ecu's
KiwiRS4T replied to Josh222's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
1. No need for narrow band O2 sensor 2. If you want to use knock control get a Link sensor - don't know of the advantage of two over 1. 3. 3 bar should do if you only plan to run 1.5 bar but your plans might change - if you can get a 4 bar for not much more why not. 4. Link solenoid is just a re-labelled Mac valve. ( I used a Mac valve). -
R32 GTS Rb25de stock air cleaner setup
KiwiRS4T replied to dmac1's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Neat job - but if you could find a way to feed it with the stock snorkel that should aid flow. -
RB25 Fuel and compressor surge issues.
KiwiRS4T replied to Redknight's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
None of your mods are really going to make your car get up and go but since you have a PFC it should be tuned by someone who is familiar with RBs. This one is not very close but does come highly recommended: http://dvstuning.com.au/contact/ Maybe members can find you someone adequate closer to you.- 12 replies

Hello everyone! Introduction and help request
KiwiRS4T replied to 26ORS's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hello - welcome to the Stagea world - have a read through this Stagea section - there is a wealth of knowledge to be had). No you don't have a sports car but a heavy wagon so rear springs need to be stronger than the front. 260 RS has GTR running gear so most stuff is interchangeable between GTR and 260Rs.- 3 replies

RB26 -7 upgrade suggestions for optimum performance
KiwiRS4T replied to RB335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Why so tight on the exhaust? Get two 3in and be done with it. No to Castrol Edge 10 60 - too thick. I like Motul but any full synthetic 5 - 40 would be my pick (or 15W 50 if you think your engine is well worn). Also now fan of modern single turbos. -
Give him a ring (make sure its working hours in NZ) http://www.ripsracing.com/contact-rips-racing.html

Most RB26s are a few years old!! They made big power years ago and still can today. My choice would be an RB30/26 but it would be simpler and cheaper to put a single turbo on the 26 and make more power than you really need (or probably want).

Need help installing a gtx3076r to my rb25det
KiwiRS4T replied to Eric0's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I have heard tell of a 10mm spacer being involved in this swap but haven't done it myself. Search and you should find a number of references. -
Well have you put it in the car and does it drive ok?

Exhaust Manifold's - 6boost & Crg
KiwiRS4T replied to MC-WOSHY's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
When I got my Sinco manifold made I went to see him - he measured the engine bay and I gave him the turbo and wastegate. Fitted first time. I realise not everyone can do that but it is a big plus if you can use a reasonably local fabricator.
