  1. Hey All, Has anyone ever removed the interior trim from the rear of an r33?? (ie arm rests for rear seat passengers, below rear windows) Is it hard to do - anyone able to run me through some quick steps to do this?? thanks heaps
  2. I found iridiums to be much better, got rid of a flatspot for me. Like the others said, don't gap them, you can buy iridiums pregapped at 0.8mm (have an 8 on the end of the part code)

Hey all, When using a PowerFC, are you running a lot more of a risk of detonation because you no longer have the protection of the stock ecu - SAFC combo which will protect the car by pulling timing when it senses knocking? Does the PowerFC still use the knock sensor to protect the engine to some degree?? When an experienced tuner tunes the PowerFC, can they really map out all of the ignition and fuel maps in a few hours on the dyno? Aren't they 3D with a sh1tload of different scenarios based on heaps of diff inputs? Is it really possible to have it all mapped out with smooth and safe results on the road?? Don't get me wrong, I don't really know, but was just hoping to get some questions answered!! thanks heaps

  12. yeah but I don't really mind it that much, I think it teaches you to be a good driver So you would think that they should be around the same, say accelerating in second gear? ps. I thought 220rwkw's would give more like a high 12 sec?
  13. Just wondering if someone can give me an idea of how an r33 gtst with 220rwkw compares to a GTR (GTR which is stock to lightly modified with exhaust, FMIC and a bit more boost). Which would feel faster? Ignoring the fact that a gtst with that sort of power struggles to get all the power down off the line (which I tend to enjoy ) thanks
  14. I would say ATP, heaps of people praise them including me and you'll be looking at prices around $1800 to 2000 plus removal and re fit costs
  15. I doubt it, I imagine it's initially more expensive to set up all of your map's properly and once this is done, addition of a bolt on like a FMIC should only need a bit of "tweaking"! When someone does an initial tune, do they use the base map which is provided with the PowerFC and then tweak that? Would the base map on the PowerFC need a lot of tweaking for the usual mods like exhaust, intercooler and a bit more boost?? Can the base map settings in the powerFC be retrieved if it is a second hand one (can it be reset)???
