  1. Certainly has changed over the years that you've owned it, and a lot since you were up here last time Rob. Good to see you're still kicking along with it that's for sure. Looks great too! PS You'll get bored of low mount
  2. If we are talking about engine oil tests using Dyno......... Skip to around 1:15 or so.....
  3. Phil, Have sent you a text in regards some replacement type x gear Can come in tomorrow if you want.
  4. You cant polish a turd. Well, you can try, but it just gets messy......
  5. So...... what happened to the PBM gear being given a go / having good feedback / Ikeya catalogue being not worth the price tag? Also, a dry sump LS1 is 180 od KG. an SR is a whole of ~130-140kg............... Throwing an LS wont affect balance / weight distribution at all really, and the fact It'd have a mountain of torque............... PS.... DET head will never, have the same flow properties as a VE(T)
  6. It made a difference in sub hot range of temps, it shifted nicer than what was in the box, it didnt crunch and generally was a smooth fluid. Got hot, stuck, and was dumped soon after. Car came with a bottle of redline you cheeky shit!!!!!!!!! I quote the guy from PPG's words about the gearset oil requirements for the gtr box. "anything that's expensive will be perfect, you know. you pay through the nose for and it's weight is 75-140"
  7. Sheep....? It's proven to work.... to a point. We tested it in a S15 running a Rb25 cogswapper, was great! until the shit got hot and basically became glue... and when I mean glue, it wouldnt let the shifter move from 3rd cog... Swapped it out (went in because I have it in the GTR's PPG box) and had no more problems even in same form of flogging. as posted Above. Coincidentally, I gave PPG a call today and had a chat about oil to use with my gearset. And will be moving to Martini 75-140 as soon as I am ready to swap the redline oil out.
  8. How does a Flex fuel setup require 'constant checking' over a normal tune for a motor? It's the same shit, just the flex fuel allows you to move from one fuel to another without the issue of swapping maps, draining fuel tanks or even pluggin in a laptop.... the ecu does EVERYTHING for you.. It can even Increase or decrease boost pressure to suit the blend of fuel in it.
  9. So............ Holden and any other manufacturer, plus tuners who are doing it now, are basically all wrong because they are dong flexible fuel systems and not limiting a car to running 2 maps that require manual switching from 1 to another?
  10. THIS! and ask him for "worst case" quote.... Also, Ben, isnt that the whole point of doing a E-Flex setup? Because then you arent dependant on one fuel type and can mix it with a PUMP fuel.... Meaning you can drive around and not have to drain the fuel tank to swap to another fuel..
  11. Looking good mate!!! I might take my oil filter n shit to work tomorrow and keep throwing some more small things on the motor
  12. I just ordered new tensioner kit from KMS and Will has my keyway which he's sending up, I asked him about a one piece keyway... mentioned it would be stronger, unneeded and require crank out really. NO THANKS CAPTAIN. ILL MAKE DO
  13. Shrek, one piece RB26 crankshaft keyway, worth getting one made? It seems Will has accidently left mine out when he sent back to me..... Pretty sure it wouldnt be hard to get one done around here if it's a worthy option.
  14. I think i'm convinced on getting the LED tails now...... but later. LOL
  15. get a stud from rawbrokerage / nissan.....
  16. Oil pump kinda looks out of place there. may need to cover it up like a muslim
  17. If this were true, I wouldnt be waiting for my motor to be finished still Cause it's about to go on a pallet motherf**ker. So............... you like boys?
  18. NOT CLOSE ENOUGH. NEW MOTOR FOR YOU. :yucky: :yucky:
  19. No nitrous will be going into the motor.
  20. Is Dan, Is good. Helps you have one of the best and growing reputations in SEQ mate
  21. Well said mate!!! pretty sure the nail just got smashed on the head well and truly!! PS. still laughing to myself about your tall thin bucket of icecream
  22. I hardly think anyone can call Will from JHH Perf. Engineering 'slack'.... Especially not when he builds most SEQ workshop motors, including Godzilla's..... One of the very few he doesnt is Elite's! He currently has 8-10 motors sitting there..... I sort of doubt Rob's or mine are on the 'ultra urgent' list.....
  23. f**k defi's etc, Stack is where it's at.
