    Ttracing

i posted a topic a lil while ago about ttracing and havnt checked back in a while and just now i noticed a few replies so heres a lil update.. after i put my old spark plugs back in a it was running sweet again.. i decided to give them a call and spoke to the boss.. i asked if i could return the spark plugs he sold me as they f*cked my car.. he in turn got angry saying they were now used and worth nothing. i wasnt really out to get my money back but more to see what he had to say.. and obviously i wasnt happy with his response as he seemed to be VERY protective of his wallet. The real test in my opinion about the true morals of this workshop would have been the day i picked up the car when it was running rough as and had a tic in the head. the owner made out as if the head needed a rebuild and i could leave it there for them to find out the problem.... so i wonder if i left it there that day if i would have a rebuilt head now...or if they would have said..sorry mate, all we had to do was change the spark plugs. the car has since ran perfect (appart from changing an AFM last weekend...wonder if that will add to the chit chat lol) and has run a 12.40 down the quarter with 14psi, stock turbos, mines ecu. in conclusion.. i think lots of workshops will have issues with there customers and vice versa... the trick is to be lucky and do most of the work yourself so good luck!!
  4. hey guys iv spent the last hour and a bit reading about what people use.. but still dont no what i want to use. my weekend gtr see's about 50km's a week.. mild mods getting me down the 1/4 in 12.4 and i want to hit the track about 6 times a year. i dont care at ALL about brake dust or squeal.. i just want to stop FAST! also which brake fluid should i select?
  5. just supporting the forum that supports me.. just checked my ecu for error codes.. air flow meters.. just ripped them out then but got dark :<.. ill try cleaning them and whack em back in on another day of motivation :>... or is this a sign from god to chuck em in the bin and get a new computer... o the possibilities
  6. thanks for the reply guys.. ill check em out.. ps amec.. im a tradie but i couldnt be a mechanic, my hat goes off to u
  7. car was running sweet until one day it starting to overfuel.. only happens under boost. misses, spluters black smoke but sorts it self out when on boost. happens on light throttle and sometimes on idle. pulled out spark plugs..all 6 fouled.. cleaned em.. same thing.. new 6.. all 6 fouled again. seems to happen more when car reaches operating temp. full exhaust big blitz IC mines ecu air pods ebc hks ignition system (does n e one know how to properly wire these things in.. i can tell a back yard mechanic put it in due to dodgy solder joins. iv re solder'd it and i doubt its the problem.. car was running sweet with dodgy connections.. then started this issue and i re-solderd thinkin it was the problem but not the case) its not spark plugs and its not my coils. TPS? IGNITOR? how do i test these items without getting new ones or using known items? ie. certain voltage values?

  9. I recently imported my 33gtr and the day i went to get it rego'd it was running like a dream and i was so happy with it! after getting it rego'd i blew an intercooler pipe off it but couldnt see where??? my compliance workshop said to take it to TTRacing just around the corner.. they fixed it, but it was a pain in the a55 due to having to pull the front bar off. *note- i wanted to do the work myself but my home was way to far away to drive and i figured it would just be easier for them to do it* anyway i come back 3 days later to pick up the beast, only to be told .. they fixed the piping..SWEET.. and i havnt had a problem with it since..so job well done i guesss.. However, the spark plugs had fouled up.. so they changed em.. and the engine has a brand new ticking noise... i was told they can find the problem for me.. but it wasnt looking good.. i was in shock to say the least.. how can the perfectly running car, and i mean PERFECT..be f*cked. I decide to get the old spark plugs off them.. get the car home running on 4 or 5 cylinders.. clean the old plugs and whack em back in.. *note- new spark plugs were different to old ones hmmmmmmm* turn the engine on.. and guess what.. no ticking.. car is running amazing again.. SWEET! was this an honest mistake? or did they see an opportunity to rip off an idiot who cant put a pipe back on? does anyone else take their car there? when i first went their all the guys seemed like really nice fellas and there was some tuff built cars there..
  10. DLOOK wat mods do u have? i cant believe ur clutch slips that easy.. time for a new one me thinks, launching is the best part of a gtr IMO... or maybe i just havnt done enough of it yet to be over it. consulting gtech...
  11. thanks bud... i think mine only has a standard clutch too (still heavyish but im thinking stock??).. i just revd to about 6 and dumped the clutch.. i used to have an evo and i found riding the clutch a lil worked better but when i tried that with this car the clutch would just slip like crazy but after just dumping the clutch it grabs and away she goes. talking gtrs- anyone with a decent clutch, ride it to launch??? dumping causes a fair bit of traction loss.. where should i be reving to for gear changes?
