    Roads?

How does this route look? I tried to aim for the most interesting wiggles. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source....191772&z=9
  2. doh, ignore this. didn't realize wtb
  3. if you read this article, you'll be down in the garage with a screwdriver to remove the mesh within hours.. http://autospeed.com/cms/A_0779/printArticle.html
  4. I had the same problem. Not zero boost, but it wouldn't show much action when it was definitely boosting great. Turned out to be a worn sampler vacuum hose that goes to the MFD, due to movement and wear the rubber had torn at the t-piece.. 2 seconds with a razor blade and all fixed. Even though it was torn, and failing to pass all the pressure upstream, it was not leaking enough air to have any real impact on anything else.
  5. I asked in another topic but no replies so I'll ask you instead it must be fresh in your mind.. do you feel any real boost in 2nd or 3rd gear? or does it really need 4500 in 4th or higher, to hit 1 bar?
  6. 70k I honestly would walk away, if it has no history.I had a similar "guys in a warehouse" close encounter with a similarly priced Nur (and this was a Nur! and before the financial crisis!) and got the "oh we don't have the papers from the japanese side" story. Yeah, believe me, if the papers had anything good on them, they'd be in the office and the first thing they'd show you. Turned out the car was sold to them from a mob in Japan that specialized in accident damaged cars.. they were experts in cleaning cars up and presenting them as low km, "perfect" examples (just with no docs). Run away, place an advert in WTB putting up your 70k and asking for local sellers. my bet is you'll find a great example for the money, and probably with improvements you'll end up buying anyway, owned by some OCD type person who has spent as much on it as they originally bought it for.
  7. as per the subject, yes. "740cc Side-feed Nismo Injectors" sorry don't have a pic, but two to a box, black box, nismo part number sticker on the side ..
  8. new 740cc side-feed injectors x 6 with o-rings, from nissan dealer. $1090 (RB25 etc). also available: r34 gtr power fc + hc - NEW-IN-BOX $1150

  10. If anyone wants a new screen I have a spare, $150 AUD takes about 10 minutes to replace it. I did mine.. works like a charm. on yahoo it is about 20,000 yen. cheers
  11. Yeah they worked for me as well. But it was a long way out in the country, and the right time of day: near sunset.
  12. Hi, I'm told that 2530s see no boost below 4th gear (compared to gt-ss) without side stepping, if you take off - but don't shatter the speed limit - do they spool up? or is there really no shove below 5k and below 4th gear? edit: sorry, on rb26 twin.. 6 speed..

there should be a track day only membership. I have zero desire to rent a prestige sports car and drive it around sydney but lots of desire to turn up at a track day and drive cars I didn't have to maintain & trailer there etc.

yeah thats it, I wonder how they are doing in the recession? rather a lot of cars for sale I see. but 18 points a weekday, 300 points per year for ~$20k. Whats that? about 16 days in the F430 .. although I'd be picking cars from group 1 and 2 and stretching my points to 45 days+.

It would be easier to join that classic car club in mosman. 20k or something, and you get to pick from a pretty large stable of cars including a GT3, and if you mostly pick weekdays and off-season you can rack up some serious seat time throughout a year. although I don't think you can take them on track days. so it would be an exercise in unfulfilled potential.

Looks like hyperflow are selling it now http://www.hyperflow.com.au/index.php?widg...aust-system-aes
  19. not really. the point of a cat is not just so you don't have to clean your bumper, and the point of all that plumbing at gas stations, is not just for show. CO2 isn't poison, it isn't great, but whatever. EPA regulations aren't just a revenue raising idea either. However unburned hydrocarbons are much worse. Not 6 of one and half a dozen of the other at all. and for NO REASON AT ALL in traffic, rather than to win races on a track, seems to me to be the same morality as cutting down trees because they spoil your view, or pouring oil down a street grating. Just needlessly anti-social, really.

yeah it seems it does have a valve "The F430 exhaust has a diaphram activated valve in the exhaust, when the valve opens the exhaust basically bypasses the complete exhaust system, straight from the extractors to the tips basically" and yeah it also bugs me that harleys can run straight pipes loud enough to set off car alarms and seemingly some of them are sold like that right off the showroom floor.
  21. what was the water temp? it is hard to imagine the oil going to 120 without the water also going high as well..
  22. Don't you feel guilty? if you still have a cat, it must be rooted from all that unburned fuel. And dumping all that unburned fuel into the air sucks for everyone else .. & for what? u do it in sydney traffic? what can justify that apart from having a public wank?
  23. The trouble is with this advice is every single new skyline owner has to start right at the beginning and potentially invest time "establishing a relationship" with several workshops - that are known by many to be second rate - before discovering that their "aims for your car" are to soak you. It can be exceedingly expensive in time and money to do it this way. I'd rather read a bunch of reasonably fresh experiences both good and bad then make up my mind where to start with this magic relationship building stuff. Are we even allowed to post a poll? one that lists 20 workshops and asks for votes on which have provided great service and fault-free work?
  24. it looks like a clean car however it is hard to tell because the pictures are so bad. Spend a couple of hundred on a photographer! you spent so much on the car..
