  1. 09 Maxima - airbag, horn not working (already replace clock spring!) So, as the title says... mum's 09 maxima has been playing up a bit - the horn didn't work, the airbag light on the dash blinks red. however, the cruise control and stereo controls work fine. Only 50,000km. Pretty good power out of the 3.5L, just a pity it's fwd! First thing I figured was the clock spring had gone bad. Picked up a replacement one (from a wreckers), disconnected the battery, took off the airbag & wheels, changed over the clock spring - same problem. No horn and a blinking airbag light. Any suggestions on where to go next?
  2. $21,900 ono. This car is in pristine condition, always garaged, washed weekly, waxed monthly by enthusiast. Said goodbye to my GTR when I found this car - it's not as quick, but unlike the GTR it's actually comfortable to drive The rare Audi B6 S-Line Package included bigger turbo, injectors, ECU tune, dual side-mount intercoolers sport suspension, bigger brakes. Very rare to find in Avant (wagon) style! This is my personal company car. Sale price is inclusive of GST with tax invoice provided - if you're registered for GST, you can claim 1/11 of sale price upfront. Of course, all private buyers are welcomed. Includes RWC and rego to June 2011, both original keys supplied. Just done 120,000km service at AUDI Spares early 2011. Timing belt done at 95,000km. Recent replacement of window regulator and oil cooling system all done by AUDI Spares. No further work needed! Wife doesn't want to drive manual transmission anymore, otherwise this car has been our perfect family car, looks incredible, fantastic paintwork like new! The DIS and radio displays work 100%, no dead LCD pixels. All interior lights work, airconditioning is freezing cold and heater is hot. Any test welcome. Available for viewing most weeknights or weekends. Vehicle details: 2004 Audi A4 Avant S-line 1.8 turbo quattro 6 speed manual Sunroof & window tint Silver roof bars Grey Leather/Alcantara interior with front arm-rest option Factory S-Line (Ultrasport) bodykit. Includes: RS6 18" wheels, Michelin tyres (Tyres new in June 2010) FK badgeless blackout grille (original grille included), black badging New optional OEM S-Line 6-speed shift knob MP3 changer added to stock stereo Eisenmann exhaust, APR DV Neuspeed pulley kit, Neuspeed short shifter New fuel pump, coolant temp sensors, MAF sensor, oil cooling system replaced Fulcrum suspension bushes This hard to find vehicle was over $80,000 on the road when new, and feels like the prestige sport wagon that it is! Apparently there is an inactive APR tune in the ECU for a K04 turbo, but since I've only ever run the standard turbo I've not had the K04 tune activated. Enquiries please PM me Tim
  3. Head unit and manual boost controller gone. Badge and side indicators still for sale. $5 for badge, $5 for the indicators! Tim
  4. Moved house and found a few things that people might want, rather than chucking them out. Sold my GTR so no use to me now. All prices are pickup in Melbourne from Box Hill or Niddrie, posted price is in brackets. Nismo badge (new). Rice up your mum's Lancer with this. $5 ($10) OEM Nissan R33 GTR orange side indicators. $10 ($15) OEM Nissan R33 GTR radio cassette. Especially useful should you be living in Japan, bought a rare Aussie import like a commodore, and need to swap in a Japan spec radio (with "stereo" cassette capability). $10 ($25) I'm pretty sure I found a manual boost controller thingy and a magnetic oil plug, but with moving house they're lost in the boxes somewhere, PM me if you might be interested in them when I find them! Tim
  5. We've lived in the area pretty much all our lives, templestowe, doncaster, doncaster east, mitcham, and now we're building a house in box hill north. Doncaster in general is pretty good, from what I know fairly low in crime rate/theft. Shoppo is of course huge. Nearest train is blackburn, laburnum, box hill stations, and the nearest tram goes to box hill too. Ruffey lake park off george st is quite nice - best overview is to go to google maps and check out everything from that view. There are of course a few slightly dodgy areas/streets but I won't name them in a public forum in case I offend anyone!... but these areas are quite small. We were going to buy an old house, demolish and build a new house in doncaster to templestowe, but ended up doing that in box hill north, just over the eastern fwy from doncaster. Walking distance to a primary school, 2 secondary schools, laburnum station, about halfway between box hill central and shoppo. Worst thing now for buyers is the prices have gone massively haywire in the last 12 months (recently a knock down development 2 streets away from us sold for $350,000 more than we paid for our almost identical development site), but with the recent change in foreign investment laws and increasing interest rates, may stay stable for a little while? Tim
  6. Yep, sold to pete, no more enquiries thanks Hope you had a good drive back to Adelaide! Was actually quite sad to see it being driven away yesterday, I don't think you can get a better car for the price - I'm going to buy another one, once this thing below is paid off! (the house, not the van in the driveway!)
  7. Don't know about other states, but for a RWC in vic all it would need is an engine bay clean and change back to stock exhaust. Just had it serviced start of march at the same mechanics who did my original RWC in August 08 and they did a quick assessment then. For interstate buyers, the best way is for me to sell the car without numberplates or RWC, you can get an unregistered vehicle permit from Vicroads to drive the car for 30 days, and re-register in your home state, and I can drop the price another $400 if the car is sold without registration. Have had a few interstate enquiries recently, whoever leaves a deposit first, has first right to buy the car. Tim
  8. Price reduced to $22,500 or best offer. Great price for a clean GTR Series 3 Vspec with records. Had enough of timewasters from carsales! If you're a serious buyer, contact me. Also may be interested in a trade+cash for a 4wd wagon (eg wrx, liberty, forester, audi A4 quattro) as my 4WD was written off in the hailstorms, and I can't fit many dogs, bikes or snowboards in my GTR Tim

    Who Got Hailed?

Played golf in rowville on saturday - can't fit my clubs & cart in the GTR so I borrowed mum's pajero. Copped the worst hail all over it - dad took it to the insurers today and it's a writeoff. GTR is OK
  10. Hi guys - I'll mostly cut & paste my carsales ad here rather than retype everything! Asking price is $23,250ono - contact me via PM to arrange an inspection! I'm in Templestowe, Vic. I imported this car in August 2008, but as my fiance and I are now building a house I have to sell my dream car. We have commenced construction and are up to frame stage, asking price has been reduced from $26,500 and negotiable for genuine buyers. This is a genuine 1997 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR Vspec Series 3 with Japanese stamped service history books (timing belt changed at approx 100,000km) & Australian service record. The Series 3 GTR was the last and best of the R33 GTRs, and included extra features such as standard Xenon headlights, Series 3 design front lip, Series 3 interior (red stitching and detailing), and importantly - dual airbags. I've given the car a thorough overhaul since owning it, with all receipts from day 1, including the wire transfer for the japanese agent, importing paperwork, compliance paperwork, original RWC, car alarm, maintenance items (new windscreen, new CV boots, new tyres etc). I have kept my car's engine 100% standard, but there are some extra inclusions: Nismo front & side clear indicators Nismo carbon Bpillar cover Nismo air filter (now replaced by brand new Apexi intake filters, standard intake also provided to buyer)) Nismo GT500 shift knob Tanabe G-Power Medallion 3" catback exhaust (standard exhaust will be fitted to car for RWC, and this exhaust provided to new owner) Genuine Ganador electric mirrors JJR B-pillar floor brace Original GTR floormats Apexi boost gauge Optima Red Top sealed battery Cobra alarm/keyless/boot release Panasonic CD/MP3 stereo As a rare example of an almost standard Series 3 R33 GTR, this car would be ideal daily driver in this state (it has been my daily driver since importing it, and has never missed a beat). If you're an enthusiast, this car is an ideal standard base to add your own modifications. I have just had the 145000km service (start of March 2010) done by Barry Bengay Mechanics in Ringwood, all the car needs for RWC is to change back to the stock exhaust (aftermarket exhaust provided to the buyer) and have the engine bay cleaned and she's good to go - no problem! Asking the best price for any R33 Series 3 GTR on carsales (the rare Xenon headlights alone are worth $3000 if you can find a seller!), negotiable on price. This car has superb paintwork, smooth as silk, a great future classic that you can drive every day. The asking price includes RWC by Barry Bengay Motors in Ringwood (who did the original RWC for me August 08) and remaining rego. Can reduce price if you don't want RWC or rego, in which case the car will be sold unregistered (without plates). For more pics click here for the carsales add, or see below.

    R33 Gtr

I've listed my '97 R33 GTR vspec on carsales a month or so now, had a few people come look at the car - some idiots, some more serious. I swear, with one guy I think he'd never driven a manual before! Basically I'd be happy with low 20s, but if it's only lowball offers and timewasters I'd hang onto her a bit longer - still an awesome car to drive!
  13. Price drop - $25,000. Not many Series 3 R33 GTR Vspecs out there!
  14. Hi guys, I bought these rear pods from a member who was wrecking his R33 GTST, they're GTR style rear pods in fibreglass. I've had some screwholes filled in (grey areas on the photo), was going to get them properly finished and installed but since I'm looking at selling my GTR I'm not going to bother! They need professional fitting and painting like most fibreglass parts. $100obo pickup in melbourne or ship interstate at your cost. PM me here or email [email protected] thanks, Tim Should look like this after you've had them professional fitted to your car; Also found this in my cupboard while spring cleaning, alpine CHA1204 12 disc changer, AInet, no MP3. Don't know if it works, I haven't used it in at least 6 years and I don't have any alpine gear to test it with. If you want it, come and try it to see if it works (if it works you can have it for $40, if it doesn't work you can have it for $10 ) I don't think I can be bothered shipping this interstate.
