  1. Yeah we thought the same when we looked at the glass channel lol we did toy with the idea of putting lights in the panels we made but will just get those Motive headlight ducts down the track
  2. Funny story, it was at the mechanics workshop sitting in the carpark and the drivers glass just fell off, he got it on his security camera lol. and the price of a replacement is just a joke, so we did this
  3. Sweet, this is why you built it man! Go send it I dont have headlights on the 32 so cant do the night runs
  4. Yeah same with others cars. But when I hand you the keys to the 32 Johnny, i expect to see what the car will do more than I can drive it haha Basically its a case of drive it as hard as you like, if it breaks mechanically while your driving, thats on me as it would of happened anyways, if you bin it and break stuff thats on you to fix.
  5. I wish I had that luck haha out of the dozen or so I've done, I've winched the 32 on more then driven it on after a track day. But hey, thats what you get when you have a dedicated track car and start to "upgrade" things on the cheap and then they break, or make other things break. Was fine when she was stock haha The poor man pays twice. Ive learnt that the hard way haha. Ive said this before, if my 32 was a street car, it would be crushed by now haha.
  6. hope your not a smoker lol I have always trailered my car to the track, seen too many times a brakedown or crash and having to pay a crap load for tow home. I dont know how you guys do it lol and with a modern car, more likely to be driven to track, flogged, then driven home, you are all nuts haha
  7. My way of thinking is I just love driving fast (in a controlled environment of course lol) I love that my 32 has no driver aids and that I have to drive it. I may only be doing 1.13's at Wakefield but Im on a buzz for a good few days after. New setup would be nice to compare if Wakefield reopens Did the gokart thing (125cc Rotax 2 stroke) for a few years, but my 50 year old body cant handle the violence of extended karting sessions lol Modern cars, you are like a passenger, it does the driving while you sit back and enjoy the ride, sort of haha
  8. 100% My key for my wife's BMW 220i has all the stupid aids turned off, sports mode turned on, MSport suspension engaged lol
  9. ok each to their own I guess, Im only talking from experience of the 3 i have had all with no problems at all. The 3 longest held cars ive owned out of about 27, each 3+ years each. and one of the cheapest cars to insure, even with a shitty driving record haha
  10. dont count out a newish turbo subaru forester. I think its almost the perfect family/fun/space/luxury options car do a few mods and they as quick as. Only reason i got rid of mine was it couldnt tow the skyline lol
  11. 100% yes. My Bond Bolt-in cage has large plates inside and under. was rather impressed with it. Especially 2nd had for $500. Came out of a hill climb car that had to upgrade due to regs etc. Maybe its the placebo effect but i do "feel" safer with it in. But its a tight fit. With padding on the bars, there isnt a lot of head room in a 32 coupe lol
  12. i wasnt allowed to buy a track car unless it had a cage (wifes rules) so I have a 6 point bond bolt in cage. I have heard some horror stories of cages ripping right through the floor when (particularly older jap cars) landing on the roof dead flat in a rollover
  13. yeah for sure!! Spewin I missed it They didnt tell anyone so not many ppl saw it. cops just closed the road for a while hahaha, similar to the harbour bridge movie shooting the other day There is a vid on the FB page for "Wollongong Sporting Car Club - Home of Huntley Hillclimb" if you wanna see it lol
  14. What day did you come down? Did you see this? This is at the northern end of Sea Cliff Bridge. apparently Liam Lawson did 3 laps of the bridge on the weekend promo video before it runs at Bathurst There is a vid on tictok of it doing a spin to turn around but I cant forward the link
