  1. awesome. 14 views. well, i managed to finish it myself, and in case anyone is wondering, it sits to the right of the fuel pump on the front wall of the tank. it is canted at an angle with the bottom closest to the front of the car and the top slanted toward the trunk there is a prong, about 2cm that sits horizontally, and points to the passenger side of the car. there is a hoop on one side of the fuel sender. that is the front. catch the hoop on the prong and slide it to the driver side of the car. you will feel a positive click when it is in place. re-install, go drive your car down the road and hit a pot hole so it can fall off again, while your coilpacks are arcing causing a misfire. terrific cars. /thread
  2. does it say motorcycle on it? i have osme motul 3000 10w40 here for my bike and it is labeled "motorcycle" motorcycles use internal (to the crank case) wet clutches and transmissions so the oil is more viscous. check motuls site. this is more of a google question.
  3. I have a 33 gtst, and as most do, the fuel level sender has come off its bracket in the tank. before i made this thread i spent an hour up to my elbow in fuel, crouched in my trunk and another 30 minutes on this site reading all the threads on the subject. they all say something to the affect of "it just slides onto the bracket next to the fuel pump" ok well thats great. BUT, does it go horizontally, vertically, how is it orientated? keep in mind, this has to be all done by feel, you cant see inside your tank unless you toss a flashlight in there. can someone draw up a quick paint diagram?
  4. ill help out the OP, even though im not sure what an rrb20 is. other than the car i mentioned above, this is hands and feet above anything else i have seen. sunline r34 carbon widebody.
  5. nah, he was being a smart ass about track cars always having tape as if it was a fashion statement. if not, i apologize, this is a pretty multi-cultural forum, and sometimes i dont pick up on aussie-ness too well.
  6. the Autech tsukada "tuoho gtr" that was in the september edition of option under the "great looking cars" section. its an r33, and is definately the most gangster skyline out there. problem is, there isnt a damn picture of it on the internet.
  7. this is what i was talking about. your rims should have 10 holes in them or recesses. if they dont, there is a special tool for cutting lug studs so they are flush and bur free. or be a man, put 20mm spacers on there and roll your fenders. rolling your fenders buys yourself 10mm easy.
  8. if you do more than 5-10mm you have to replace your studs. they wont be long enough no safely retighten your wheels. thats why they are probably illegal where you guys are from. they dont want every moron losing wheels on the road because they tried to add 20mm of spacing to a lug stud thats only 25mm long. the safest, easiest route would be to leave the stock studs and purchase, as some have said, 15-20mm bolt on hub adapters. they are about 8000yen per pair. also, be advised, that with a bolt on hub adapter of 15mm or less, your original 5 lugs will probably poke thru then, which is ok if those wheels have 10 holes in them, or recesses for the excess stud length to fit into. if they are 20mm, theyll probably cover all 5 of your stock studs. anyone whos dicked with these a ton knows what im talking about.
  9. anyone convert to a blow thru? im curious as to the specifics and it might solve a lot of problems. could someone outline the process?
  10. if you were just talking about washing it, then use simple green and spray it off. do it while the engine is warm, but not hot. now, unless you want to do it again the follwoing week, dont coat it with something thats going to attract a ton of dirt. now, if you were talking technical, and you want to hide some wires and hoses, youll have to get creative. log onto honda-tech.com, and search the "wire tuck engine bay thread" youll be pretty amazed that some of them even run.
  11. youve obviously never been on a track. track workers would rather pick up one tape encrusted piece of plastic when you f**k up your car, than sweep a big scattered mess off the track.
  12. toranas dont have 18x10 +18 work meister S1s with 295/35s on them
  13. mine are... ill look for a pic the fact that the dark haired girl up there probably has an aussie accent (im not australian) makes her cuter. haha. i gotta fly down there sometime.
  14. dont british people call stuff like this "chav-tastic"?
  15. a real heat gun should be enough but if it isnt i would put the oven on something low like 250 for about 8 minutes. the guys do their honda ones all the time to make them look like "CTR" headlights. before i pulled them apart though, i would highspeed buff the outside with some compound and a sponge pad, just like you would do a dulling paint suface. makes them look like new again.
