  1. So who makes good lamingtons these days? Haven't had a decent jam n cream filled lamington in years.
  2. Agree with changing the fuel filter, avoid E10 if possible. Hotwire air flow meter? If so might need a clean out? Hope you can sort it out cause they aren't bad cars for gettin around
  3. Hey 89CAL, there are no aftermarket/piggy back computers in my car. I meant I had bought a manual 1/2 cut and transferred everything from the cut to my sedan. Computer, some looms, trasmission and so on. The safe tune I was referring to is similiar to a safe/limp home mode but not as severe. It was caused by the knock sensor not being connected, it really retards the timing and runs on a much more fueled up map. And I had a quick chat to Lochy at Chiptorque and was suprised the fuel map will cycle back and forth rather than stay as close to 14.7 as conditions allow.
  4. I'd go for one myself. able to slow and speed up water flow depending on temp and working electric fans from the same controller (like a Davies Craig) could allow fast warm up and constant temperature control. When I get some money up I will buy and test this, but for the moment will stick with the old crank driven pump, only because it still works
  5. R34 RB25Neo, stock ecu, stock turbo Sstock boost control, boost dropped to 8psi and ran 10:1 mega rich after vct change over about 5,000 rpm. Walbro 255, front mount cooler, 3" turbo back, aPexi pod and cai. 164kw @ wheels. Nistune to come. Bleed valve fitted, lsd tightened
  6. Dont be scared of doing your own maintenance mate. I'm a qualified truck mechanic and have worked in a few import workshops. Take your time, be confident but use common sense and double check and check again. And track down a workshop manual, these will take you through most things step by step and have everything you will need to know. Let me know if you find a good one cause all I have found so far is this http://www.scribd.com/doc/30138244/R34-All-Workshop-Manual-Search-Able and it's pretty useless for what we really need.
  7. Chasing a Nistuned R34 ECU to suit my RB25DET Neo manual sedan with basic mods so far. Prefer to buy the ecu and not have to take the car off the road. Or anyone that can supply and tune a Nistune board for a decent price near the Gold Coast. Cheers
  8. I suppose it's legal the same way as mufflers with removable baffles or exhaust cut out pipes are. Depends on the copper but wouldn't like to get pulled by a dept of trans vechicle.
  9. Hey mis532 and everyone. Been a member for ages but never really written anything. Drive the silver/grey r34 sedan in and around Robina and into surfers most days. Sorry if I cut you out in traffic but remember - keep left unless ya overtaking
  10. lol not bad job mate, but the leading edge on each tyre is missing
  11. Parked in Robina town centre a number of times, most of the times trying to stay in well lit/visable places but a insanly loud CHIRP CHIRP to arm and disarm the alarm never hurts I spose
  12. Thought I'd throw my own experiences in as well, 5 speed R34 GTT sedan getting about 34ok's for a tank of BP 98. Basic mods, cold fed pod filter, 3" turbo back, FMIC, stock ecu, 12psi. Engine and transmission conversion through a number of less than qualified workshops (including 'Nizzpro' when they were at Ashmore). Thought it must have been a wire or 2 not connected as I got the car back and the speedo, air con wasn;t working and was running only 5psi and felt real flat. Turned out was a knock sensor not connected (thanks Chiptorque) Made 164kw and ran a lot better so I thought fuel economy would improve as it was no longer running on a 'safe' tune. NOPE, 320/340 a tank so no change at all. AFR's continually bounce between 13.5 and 15.8 cruising on the highway (AEM UEGO gauge). But on a positive some gas rebates still apply and liquid injection technology is getting good gains over petrol.
