1. My silver boat coming into the pits which is one of my screen savers and also, I think, Fatz missus slowing me down in a white GTR (correct me if Im wrong) LOL.....

Sorry, LOL......

Mark
2. Yes well, last time I was at wakie it rained and I covered turn 1 exit in snot, hard to do really but I still managed it, had to hide my head for a while, LOL. BAD Mark.......
3. Bloody magazine, Now I want a lap timer and a camera, and new rubber, and, and, and. Good mag and a great read.
4. You may have air in the sysyem, When the car is cool remove the radiator cap and start the car, let the car idle for a while(might take 5-10 minites), giving it a few revs here and there, watch your temp gauge, and add coolant as needed, also ensure you have some coolant in the overflow for when the car cools down so it doesnt suck air back in. Might fix it. Mark
5. MU SECRET guy even helped me fit the seats. Mark
6. +1 for a boosted XR6 turbo For a stupid quick roadcar that you can drive from Sydney to Townsville in one day and still be able to hit the piss that night, well, the things are awsome. The new Commie V8s are allright too from my experience, OK on fuel but need alot more work than the Ford 6 to make simular reliable power. If I could convince the missus to get rid of her Alfa I would get her a new SS Commie Wagon, but alas, she likes the POS Alfa........
7. I have a unrelated comment for sale, price is 2 cents, not negotiable. Will supply pics before thread lock (maybe)
8. Sorry to hear, get well soon. Be carefull at work and at home guys and girls. Mark
9. Thanks for the link mate, I pick them up tomorrow Mark
10. Different tyres different pressures, I would go up a bit more myself, 36-38 front and 34-36 rear if street tyres, to see if your tyres are at a good pressure do a skid and have a look at the mark left, if the outside edges are darker than the middle the tyres need more pressure, if the inside is darker they need less, the add 2 psi for the front to compinsate for the weight of the motor. This is only a rough guide but you dont want to go driving around with under inflated/over inflated tyres as your braking and handling will suffer, even 2 psi makes a difference. Disclaimer: Only do skids in a safe area blah blah blah Marks 2 cents
11. If youve got the 30 pump thats fine but if your using the 25 one you need to mod the bracket at the bottom with a plate and remove 5 mm from the rear of the top hole to allow the pump to move forward 5 mm. The 26 pump/bracket is different again Im told. Mark
12. Ive typed in bold the things I would do first, Blue slips are not that hard as long as the car is safe and not to loud. Get the thing engineered, cost me under 1k. Find a good local tuner/mechanic who do the slips and they should be able to tell you what you need to fix prior. Your not smuggling guns and ammo so it shouldnt be to hard if you do what is needed. Mark
13. Finally fitted my QFM A1RM pads that I got from gslrallysport, when I removed the Bendix Ultimates they where half worn and had some cracking going on, after fitting the A1RMs and bedding them in I find they are a big improvement on the Ultimates, the only squelling I got was during the bedding in but after about 10 80kph to 20kph runs they were nice and quiet. Inital view on them is they are much better in feel and grip on the street, Im doing Wakie on the 5th of March so will see how they go there. Mark
14. As a novice to sprints I love watching time attack with cars I could never own, bit like the funny cars at the drag compared to old mate in his VL, whilst most of us only dream of spending bulk and sustained amount of coin there are shops/people that do and thankyou very much I say.

Yes there is lots of hype and grid girls (yes some look like they are from the RIFF) but thats all good to.

Good on the door to door guys and I love watching a good race but I will never be able to afford to do that, best I can do is build up my daily and go for some sprints where me doing damage to the car is alot less likely.

For me to be able to watch big dollar cars from here and overseas with drivers from around the world trying to out do each other in a sport that I can do is gold.

Time Attack is Super Sprints with a all you can eat menu (as long as you keep away from the food they sell there because as mentioned it is woefull crap)

Long live WTAC

Mark
15. I have one in the center as well, 3.5" about 350mm long and 150mm round, but it still needs the box at the rear to keep the DB down. Mark
16. You need a rear exhaust box with some volume to it, if its those exhaust tips that are not much bigger than the pipe they really do nothing in reducing the DB. A straight through 3.5" rear box with the lenght of 450mm, width of around 250mm and a height of around 150mm fits and keeps it just legal, It does on mine anyway Mark
17. Ive just got a de-cat pipe for track days and dont know what to do with the sensor that is usually in the cat, Ive got a link G4 ECU and Ive had another sensor put in at the dump. Do I need to get a plug welded into the de-cat pipe or can I just wire it out the way when using the pipe. Some pics. Thanks guys.
18. 1. put a built RB30 bottom end on 2. build head/cams 3. put a correctly sized turbo on 4. injectors 5. OIL Thats on the mota, then the ECU, then the fueling, then the tune, then the drivetrain, then the suspension, then the brakes, then the tyres, then the cooling (i/c oil cai) And then, and then, and then Welcome my friend.
19. Look around for a rough car with good running gear and swap out the parts, be aware that any money you spend you will not get back at resale. You should be able to find something that has been t/boned or rear ended for a couple of grand. If your current car is rusty or rough, wreck it and try to get the money you paid for it otherwise you may end up spending alot of money. Ive seen some nice clean looking 33s for under $5,000. http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/results.aspx?PriceTo=442&Qpb=true&keywords=&SearchAction=N&sid=12E30BD9EC2A&Nne=15&Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Price_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&N=834 1216 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294963593 4294963846 442 4294950381
