  1. im running Ku36's in clubsprint....what problems you have with the RSR's
  2. dropped it down today. going to try changing the oil to see if any improvement. if not its off for a refreshment. im pretty sure the guys are using redline superlight shockproof gear oil which is ATF like. yer the word is that the lightweight shock proof is excellent for other gearboxes but kills getrag. my fingers are crossed that the oil is all it will need!!!!!
  3. hi all im having problems when down changing from 4th to 3rd in my gtr. it first started after some track work and appears after another track day and a couple of mountain runs that its getting worse. im getting a crunch/grind when down changing into 3rd. it only happens at high rpm and sounds like more of a gear grind rather than a lighter feeling syncho crunch. its really not happy trying to engage 3rd. all other gear engagement is fine either up or down gears. just wondering what could cause this problem?? there is very little information out there about people having problems with the renowned strong getrag so am a bit confused.. would fluid help or does this sound more like a rebuild. what about clutch or could the syncho be shot. im taking it in to be looked at on wed but just thought id but a call out to anyone who may have experienced something similar cheers everyone
  4. how many laps in total have you done on it after the repair. was it only sprints or 6+ lap sessions on them cheers
  5. ok, cheers for the advise guys....looks like im buying myself new tread for xmas
  6. yer it has def punctured it. pumped it up and splashed water over it = bubbles. there is about 70% tread left on them so would love to repair it if i know its safe and tried by a number of guys on here. i had a front left let go on me not that long ago on Lakeside braking from 200km/h so i know that "oh f**k me" feeling and really wanna make sure its safe. other problem is that i cant just replace one tire with full tread on a gtr can i ??? in regards to slight difference in rolling diameter or am i worrying to much.. cheers guys
  7. shit... thats not what i wanted to hear.. anyone on here ever done it before??
  8. hi guys just came back from a drive with my track wheels on and have found a nail or some weird metal object punctured through my RE55s. anyone know if they are still good for track use if i go get it puncture repaired. cheers
  9. does anyone know if the factory front diffusers on a r34 gtr still fits with the trust sump extension in place. i would assume it would be very close or a nice square would need to be cut out. any one got personal experience??
  10. is there an entry form for general practice or is it just rock up and have fun... also do they have timing equipment working on these days. cheers
  11. Yer thats me, Cheers for the comment Harry. Congrats on the sub 60..thats awesome The tire shop took responsibility for poor fitment. There was a small tear where the leak was at the bead. they said the bubbling was then formed from driving back into pits on the flat tire. So they have ordered me a new tire and recommend i get it fitted elsewhere. Was very happy in the way they handled the situation. Lets just hope there is no tears in the other 3.
  12. I also had an interesting time on sunday. First session of the day, second lap, i managed to get a front left flat. Turning on to the straight coming down the hill i thought thats weird i seam to have lost some grip. Through the kink seamed fine as the right side was loaded. Then as i hit the brakes at roughly 200 coming close to carousel the front left dipped on me. Once again thinking thats weird + HOLY SHIT. Managed to slow it down and went to turn in and understeered big time. Somehow got it around and back into pits to find the tire dead flat. Went and pumped it up again to find the bead was leaking. got the psi up to 35 and the leak sealed. i then droped it back to 30psi (RE55s) and it was fine. i thought ill put it on the back assuming there would be less load on the tire and get back out there and take it easy. However when i took the wheel off there was also two massive bubbles on the inside sidewall. And that was the end of my day ...however im looking at the good side of things and glad i didnt end up in the tire wall!! Took it to the tire shop today to see whether it was due to a fault in the tire or a fitment mistake...will be interesting to find out.
  13. I ll be out there on 19th. will be first time ever on semi s. looking forward to it.... hopefully no rain. never doing lakeside wet!!
  14. where in bris are you... im on northside. you dont see many out my way on the roads.
