  1. Maybe I'm confused. The tuner I got from brad is a little gold colored unit. I thought it was an asuka.
  2. He didn't mean for it to happen, just careless. He did it that quick I didn't have time to say not to put it on the car.It will need to be blocked back a bit then should polish out fine. Just a pain in the behind. Oh, your Asuka tuner I got from Brad works a treat, very easy install and even the wife is happy with it!
  3. Go back and read from the my first post on the subject sweet heart! You clearly don't read as Ryan and myself made NO comment on comparing the 2 results. Im purely saying to Ryan that his torque reading is not correct! F*ck me some people on here get excited very easily!!!
  4. Yeah could be, Dunc would need his tuned to make the most out of the high flow. Ryan still wouldn't actually have 566nm at the engine though. That is only 566nm of tractive effort. Went for a quick spin to the St Peters bakery and the tv reception was great. When would you able to do the english language conversion for me?
  5. They may be comparable on that day on that dyno but it's still not crank torque. It's tractive effort, being the effort it takes via the wheels to turn the rollers, this is different to a true crank torque. I would assume it would be mid 400 nm at crank at that power level given stock is 410nm. You simply won't gain over 150nm from an exhaust and filter. What mods do you have for 177.7awkw? If you lean the mixture to a safe 12:1 you will see some extra power. Well done, nice results.
  6. Just had the census collector come, he asked what type of car it was, then proceeded to bang his folder and car keys on my bonnet a d scratch it in two places. I almost lost it, well I'l did verbally. If he wasnt an oldish bloke he would have done cart wheels down my drive way. What a w*nker!
  7. That torque isn't correct. That's tractive effort not engine crank torque. A very good power result none the less. Is it all wheel kw or rwkw?
  8. What about people with an Elgrand? They would be limited in numbers to have their own cruises and sort of still fit the bill to join ours.
  9. Just fitted an Asuka tuner I grabbed from Brad. Very happy. Great reception, just waiting on delivery of USB extension and iPhone connect lead. And thanks to brad for the tip on the F connectors.
  10. I like a slight stretched look and to help fit in the guards a little better. On my 180sx the rear runs a 9.5 with a 235-45. On the M35 the new rims are 9" so I will run a 245-45-18 but would really prefer a 235 but the diameter isnt as nice as the 245. I would never run a 265 on a 9.5" rim.
  11. What about getting a Yashio or Koyo upgrade rad from Japan/Streeter? Or too expensive?
  12. Nice, hoist at home, what more could a guy ask for. Yeah Im thinking of asking MV to fit it also but Im not sure if he would as he doesn't think a heap of the kit for some reason. When I spoke to him he didn't say he would fit it if I wanted, he just said it not worth doing this kit and gave me no other option. Very weird. I hope he would fit it as having a shift kit previous;y done by him I know his work is second to none. Time will tell I guess.
  13. Sorry mate, that was direct at bigkevracer.
  14. Yeah I had a look at that vid. Is that the first shift kit you have fitted? Im keen as hell to give it a go but always a little wary if it all goes south and need another valve body or trans.
  15. by "installed" I thought it would be understood it was the kit to the valve body. Im not saying he can't/won't do a great job, Im just looking at all my options. What type of workshop does your old man have?
  16. So your price is $500 for the kit supplied and installed? How much just to fit the kit if we supply it? Im thinking of finding a shop here to fit it if I decide not to have a crack. This way I will get some sort of warranty and back up service. I assume you won't offer any type of warranty if the kit turns out not to be installed correctly? Not saying this will happen, just looking at options if a shop only charges a small amount more and it comes with a warranty/backup service.
  17. Sweet. I'm going to order one also.
  18. Is there a spare valve body floating around that can be used for a change over purpose? This would be very handy to limit time with the car off the road.
  19. Do the changes on full heavy/full throttle too hard or chirp tyres on changes at all? Sorry for all the Qs just chasing as much info and still trying to understand MV's decision on the kit.
  20. What are the shifts like on light and/to full throttle and any clunking into gears on light throttle? Sounds good so far. Well done.
  21. +1 for ku31.
  22. Yeah they will be up for sale as soon as the new rims arrive. I do love R32 GTR rims though, forged and light weight, what more is there to say!
  23. By the sounds I don't think it will matter if the rims are 20mm in or out, it sounds like she will just gutter them anyway. So get what your happy with!!! My M35 has R32 GTR rims on it until the new rims arrive, so 8+30 and before I lowered it they sat inside the guard about 10mm front and back.
  24. I would go an 8.5+30, this keeps it inside the guards but fills them enough so it still looks really nice.
  25. If Aarons kit is just upping the pressure I would assume that could limit the life and reliability of the trans, unless the pressure hasn't been lifted too much but then it might not get the desired results. Its definitely better to go a modified valve body than just upping the line pressure. From what I know
