  1. Yeah I'm sure Northshore are great to deal with. Just throwing up some ideas for the OP. Would save him some nice cash if he can private import an have them complete it for him. Cheers
  2. The figures I'm using are totally fictional NOT actual hard figures. Just using them as an example for any company. I'm also not saying these are figures of Northshore nor another company. Everything I'm talking about is just hypothetical.
  3. As I said, I understand why they do it. But why can't they comply a PM for someone that buys a car in Japan themselves. I would imagine they would/could charge $3500-4000 for compliance. This gets the 30k back pretty quick. That's a nice premium over the $2500 usually charged for compliance on an nm35. This would still allow you to bring one over cheaper than what you could buy in a yard. The big part of them not doing it would be missing out on the easy 4k profit on the car, plus profit on the cost of compliance they would make by selling you one from their yard. This is the point I'm making!!!
  4. Luckily for me my mate owns Import Compliance Centre here in Adelaide, so for me it was a very easy process. If Northsore are the only guys complying the PM35 I doubt very much they would comply it for you if you bring it over yourself. Bit of a sh*t thing if that's what they would do but I suppose they are just keeping a strangle hold on the evidence to make the outlay getting it worth while.
  5. Hey I'm after a set of M35 factory wheels with good tyres as my car that's on it's way only has r32 rims with snow tyres. I need a set to get me by until my rims come from Japan. Prefer in SA for easy pick up. Cheers Paul
  6. All depends what he wants. If you want to keep it fairly stock I would import. If you want to modify it get craigs.
  7. I would import, I just did. The car will owe me a couple grand less than car yard prices and I even bought 3.5k worth of rims/tyres plus tanabe suspension in the price.
  8. After a set of M35 Stagea wheels with good tyres.
  9. I may be able to help out here. I'll check with a mate that has the gear to do this and get back to you.
  10. Yep, the more competition for parts the better the prices should be for us!
  11. Nice work although not a fan of the split dump. The bell mouth style usually works better than this as the re entry point on a split dump needs to be a lot further back than this one. To do this it needs to be a dump and front pipe in one. On another note, I have a mate Rex Kelway that engineers gear and he is making up some very nice bellmouth dumps that will be for sale shortly for less than the usual $450 that is usually charged.
  12. Ah, now I know who the keyboard warrior on here is.
  13. Actually no, Streeter is not my contact. He ended up the easiest way to go about it in the end. Make sense now????? I just love people that make assumptions. And I didnt buy XT7's!!!
  14. Glad to hear you could sort it out.
  15. If your going to part it out, I put dibs on the leather interior.
  16. Well the compliance workshop will be able to tell you that. AFAIK a car cant have any structural rust in it for compliance, if it has you either must send it back to Japan or destroy/part out the car.
  17. So what is it you want to know?
  18. Nice. I thought of getting a set of them for my M35 but went with a set of Work rims.
  19. Hey I just ordered some 18x9.5+35 rims and forgot about clearance on the front of an NM35 at full lock. I test fitted this size wheel to a mates NM35 and it fits nicely but I forgot to full lock it each way to see if it scraps or not. I plan on running a 235/45-18 tyre. Can anyone confirm if these will or will not scrap at full lock? Cheers
  20. I will grab the R33 front slotted pair of rotors. PM me some details so I can pick up asap. Cheers
  21. What rims are they and sizes? Look nice.
  22. Wheels ordered today. Hopefully here in 3 months once they make them up and get delivered. Can't wait!
  23. Well the Stagea leaves Japan on the 16th, cant wait! I have also now ordered a set of Tanabe coilovers for it and they should be here in a couple weeks. Now just to order the wheels. Also looking at getting service parts such as spark plugs and filters to give it a full service as soon as it gets here.
  24. The repair on the strut top is from rust. Very common in the 34 range of stagea's.
