  1. Welcome to the world of detonation unfortunately. Not bad power for the mods. If you do little changes, such as a larger exhaust or a different pod filter, it can alter the tune a little. A lot of people don't realise this. There would be nothing wrong with the size of the exhaust, there are plenty of cars producing big hp on 3" systems, so I wouldn't be worried about that. If you want to change pods, i'd do it now before it goes back, or give them it so they can fit it before they retune it.
  2. Hey man, they start at around $140 a set. The 34 I done they other day was a bit fiddly and ended up just under the $300 fitted. I think compared to the philips kit availabe, cost being close to $700 just for the kits, they are quite good. When I pull my finger out of my ass and get around to putting them in mine your more then welcome to check them out if your not sure. I'll just make sure the cars at work for you. Yeah it's actually hard to get decent photos and footage of them to get an idea of what they really look like. I don't have anything to show how they look, all I can tell you is when they have warmed up they produce a nice bright white light, not bluey light like some do. I set them up so they shine torwards the road if they are to high.
  3. My wife and I have been driving around with these in our cars for a couple of years now and not once been harrassed by popo. What I have found with HID's is that the headlight can/need to be adjusted slightly down towards the road so it doesn't shine in the eyes of on coming traffic. I use to run the Crystal visions in both cars and they were a fantastic light as an upgrade, but I wanted more light. The way i look at it is if the police are going to pull me over for my lights, i'd rather the fine for that then what they find under the bonnet lol. Another way to look at it is that all mods done to a car are classified as illegal anyway, whether you have mod plates or not, as the vehicle was not manufactured with that part. The thing that gets me flared up is that most parts that most of us put on our cars are improving handling, braking or sight capabilities, which go hand in hand for the mods that get done to the car.
  4. Hey guys if you want good bright lights, say HID, I can arrange that for you. One of my suppliers do an affordable set that you can even get parts for. Fitted a set the other day to a 34 and look great. I have a set that I trailed from ebay for RnD, well lets just say they are getting swapped out for a set of these soon. The kits start out at around $140.00 plus fitting. Let us know if ya interested.
  5. Hahahaha. Yeah......... Sorry Ash. Stupid brain lol. Clint, you got to see it from a business veiw mate. Saying things in that context, on a forum, whether you are wanting another opinion or not, doesn't read too well to the rest of the members on the site. We have spent endless hours speaking to you and giving you plenty of options to try and work within your budget, which is exactly what we do for every customer that walks into the shop. We are a close net workshop so we work big on customer service and advice. I am struggling to see why you would spend 1k on a "trail and error" scenario, as it sounds, to end up where?? In affect it's similar to the PFC you already have. And what I meant by a hand granade, is it seems you are only interested in making more power and not thinking it through properly about the consequences. The performance game isn't for the faint hearted, you want power and reliability, unfortunatly it all comes with a price tag. The air flow meter you supplied us wasn't a genuine z32, and we have seen a few of these coming through lately that have a short life span. A leason to be learnt by all that buy cheap nasty parts over the real deal. With a genuine AFM and a touch up on the tune to suit that, will solve your issue as we explained to you last time. And no it's not another "$1200 tune" as put you it, it includes the price of a new AFM. If you like I can have a look at the price of the Z32 I have and let you know exactly the price. On a positive note, yes you have sent a few members from here to us, and we have appreciated the extra work you have brought us, so don't think that what you have done has gone sight unseen.
  6. Why's that Clint???? Just because Peter's not interested in tuning hand granades. What do you think EFI will do for you, that we haven't already done?????
  7. I use RPM Dyno at Morayfield. Great people and give good advise. Plus I have an Auto Elec shop next door.
  8. Thats awesome Clint. Good crusier with power to punch.
  9. Shit dude that's pretty bad. My not be the running of the car, could be something as simple as the sender unit in the tank giving an incorrect reading as well. The wife's 33 doesn't do to bad on fuel considering she only works a short distance from home, usually gets over close to 250k's to half a tank and thats driving back streets. So as you can imagine it's a lot of slow corners and acceleration in short spurts. While on the subject of fuel economy, took the 32 out to toowoomba the other week, full car, 317kw, and got just under 400km to 3/4 tank. Hasn't been on a desent drive like that before. A few years ago, we use to have some crazy late night runs down the highway towards the NSW border, giving her a really good flog, and made it back to the northside before putting fuel in her. Pete, RPM, really nows how to get the most out of a tune thats for sure.
  10. If any1 is interested, next saturday Club Highrollers is having our club dyno day at CMR at Capalaba next saturday the 31st. Starts at 9 o'clock AM and should finish sometime round lunchish.
  11. RPM Dyno and performance, Morayfield.
  12. Thems the reasons why I stay off the road on rainy weekends. Get enough of that shit during the week when it rains.
  13. No worries dude.
  14. Hahaha. Thought you'd like that. Usually it's the other way round right??? Cheers man.
  15. Been awhile between chats gents, so I thought I'd share a little update. Round 4 of mods are about to take place. Starting to get bits and pieces together to build a new bottom end to go with the cams I've bought. Will be trying to push it closer to the 500rwhp mark and go for low 11's on street tyres and a high 10 on semi's/slicks. Once the cars back on the road i'll get out to meet and gret ya's.
  16. Yeah see what we can do.
  17. Hahaha. Yeah...... I know. It will be happenning soon though once i sell the pulsar it'll be off the road and getting done.
  18. Wouldn't bother dude with the water/meth setup. Don't like the setup they come with. Don't know if you remember, but that green 33 that was at work had one in it and the bottle leaked all the time. From what I could tell it was a brand new kit to that the owner installed. I have the C02 sprayer on my car and have not done any test to see if it makes any sort of a difference. As for the water sprayer idea, go to bunnings or a garden shop and buy yourself some irrigation nozzels, get some vac line, or buy a universal washer bottle kit from Repco and use the line and away you go.

My opinion would be not to drive it til you can get it looked at. If you apply the brakes in an emergency situation, they may not work effectively or may fail completely. Your foot brake would not be the cause for any of the problems you are having, as it works via a cable that runs to the drum inside the rear discs and activates a pair of brake shoes. Either the ABS module is at fault or there could be problems with wheel speed signal to the module.
  21. Thermo fans are only benificial if you have a shroud for them. There are some shrouds if my memory serves me correct on ebay that suit the standard rad. Control wise, I'm not a hugh fan of the thermo control units that use the probe in the top hose, you would be better off using a thermo switch sender mounted in a bit of stainless pipe in the top hose. If you have an aftermarket computer you can use it to trigger a relay.
  22. I can get them through work. $30-$40 i think from memory. Don't fit it yet until it's ready to be gased.Ashdowns and places alike should not be aloud to sell these items over the counter because of the laws that apply for a/c without a proper a/c licence. It cost myself and my business big coin to just be licenced to perform this service. I can provide the drier, correct orings and regasing at my work.
  23. What Chris said.
  24. Hey buddy. Merry chrissy to you and nay. Wish the family one to. Once all this crazy time is all over well have too catch mate. Let us know when you guys have free time spare. Be safe mate.
  25. Not sure man. It might be a new year thing. Check with him first before you start fitting everything. I know we have about 6 cars in line for full tunes to happen before xmas.
