i called again today and the wervice manager told me that i shud drive it for a few days and the oil residue will go away. However, I told him that I am bringing it back in tomorrow as i dont want to keep it and get the blame in the end. I am gonna tell them about doing a compression test and if it fails then fix it props or just give me a refund. do you guyz think they would fix it if there is a problem with the internal stuff? like the rings etc? is it cheaper than getting a new engine? I am a newbie at engines but i have noticed that the car misses a beat at traffic lights. why is that? it never did that before they tried to fix it. cheers guyz...

Got the car back today. They told me it was the PCV valve, it was blocked and they cleaned it and put new oil in it. They also mentioned that since the PCV valve was blocked it caused oil to get into the chamber. I dont understand any of it. They had to change the spark plugs as it was covered in oil. When i went to pick it up. i started the car and noticed it was still smoking so i went and called them. the smoke looked less but it was still looking abnormal. They sed it was steam as it was dissappearing quickly. and it will go away by the time i get home. And if it continues i shud take it back. Now after drivin for an hour, and also driving from osbourne park to cannington. the smoke is still there. it looks bluish. and its bad at the traffic lights. i am now getting pissed. it feels like they did nothing. They mentioned that they had to send the car to Japanese Performance Centre and they sorted it out. Not sure what the issue is now. I have only had the car for 3 days now since i bought it, and they made me wait for nearly 2 weeks to fix it and still didnt end up fixing it. Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks for the advice W1ink. will ask them to do a compression and leak done test. I have left the car there. they havent called back to tell me how its going. Maybe i will call them and ask them to do the test too. Joel. the sludge cant damage the engine? like if it gets stuck somewhere? don't know much bout engines.

hey Chris, do you have anything i can buy that will allow me to connect my Ipod to the 6 cd Changer? i have no GPS or Screen or anything. AUX in connection somewhere? if you do how much will it cost?

Hey mate, yeah i took it for a test drive. the car is very smooth and and has nice pick up. its just the smoke and sludge. I asked them about the smoke and it was white so they thought it was coz it was cold. I took it today and they were all surprised how it passed their 100 Point check with the smoke and sludge. At the moment they have kept the car to find out whats wrong and have given me a daewoo to drive around for free... They said they will call me after its fixed to pick up. Hope they fix it props and its not a big issue. is there any way of getting rid of sludge? like after they clean it or whatever. i also take it somewhere for a second clean? Anyone know a such a place?

Thanx for the advice guys. i checked the coolant and its not moving.its been at the same place. And the coolant looks green and has nothing else mixed in it. cant see anything. When i drive the car, its smoking whiteish and blueish smoke. but looks more whitish. and it smells like rubber burning. something like that. I am just worried they might not fix it properly and that is the only car i have. need to go to work too. Ah, will see what they say tomorrow. Cheers guyz, Vish.

Thanks man. So they can fix it at no cost to me? can the sludge be removed completely? Even without the warranty aren't they not supposed to sell a car in that condition?

Just opened up the Oil cap and noticed sludge in the engine? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/369048-need-urgent-help/page__gopid__5883442#entry5883442 its now pissing me off. they mentioned they have done a 100 point check which included engine and oil condition. but they didn't notice the sludge. can i take it back and get a refund? or can they fix it up? is there any law that says they have to fix it if its only been a few days? i don't know what i am even saying now. any help will be appreciated. cheers. The sludge is blackish and brownish. just like old oil. The car runs really good. no probs. idles steady. only the smoke and the sludge. Is there any way of getting rid of the sludge? is there some machine they can connect the engine to and flush out all the crap? is oil sludge in cars common? I am gonna call them tomorrow and see what they say. What if they just clean it and give me back the car? can it have caused any damage already?

They serviced it recently. about 2 weeks ago according to the sales guy. But aren't they supposed to give the car in good condition? They state that they do a full inspection including : Oil Level and Condition Engine Condition Performance Compression Spark Plugs Ignition leads Distributor Cap Radiator Radiator Cap Cooling System Cooling Hoses Coolant Level and Condition Fan Belts Oil Leaks Engine Mounts Fuel System In-Line Fuel Filter Air Filter Emission Control Exhaust System Then why would they sell a car that doesn't pass the test?

Guyz i need help and advice... I bought the v35 a on Friday and its been smoking ever since as i mentioned in the v series forum http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/368987-white-puff-of-smoke-help/ I decided to check the oil and it looked low on one side and high on the other side of the dipstick. its confusing. But i noticed some sludge on the dipstick and decided to open up the oil cap and look inside and its bad. Its like the stuff is covered in sludge. What do i do? i already signed the contract for the car. can i take it back and ask them to fix it or do something about it? or they wont? i bought it from Lynford motors in Osbourne Park http://wa.ahg.com.au/Lynford/ Please help me out. need some advice. Can this fit onto a the original 6cd Bose stereo without nav

Hey mate, i am in W.A Perth. I just got the car from a dealer about 2 days ago. Is it possible they will fix it for free as i also have premium warranty?

Its happening all the time. weather its hot or cold. i even took it for a long drive to get rid of the fuel and filled up with fresh fuel from BP(98) and no difference. Its been serviced just a week ago i think. Bought it from Lynford Motors in Osbourne park. They even serviced it. but the oil on the dipstick looks very light. maybe they used a very light oil. Otherwise car feels fine. I am scared to drive it. I want to take it to a import garage to change the oil but i am scared the premium warranty will get void as it states i need to take it to the authorized ones only. any advice.

Hey Guys, I bought a 03 v35 350gton friday. and it has started troubling me already. The car feels very smooth and has no problems at all. However, there is alot of white smoke. ALOT! when idling its there but small amount but when accelerating its really bad. Like a smoke bomb. It doesnt smell sweet and doesn't seem like its coolant. Don't know though. The car feels really nice to drive. Has alot of power too. I have premium warranty with it. so before i take it i just wanted to find out if any of yous have noticed this b4. Can it be coz of bad fuel? maybe fuel in the car sitting for too long? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers, Vish. Anyone live near bentley W.A who can help?

Me i thinks that the problem is just a simple one. we are just missing it. There is something we are doing when when taking off the cluster that temporerly fixes it, as most people say it works after removing cluster to fix the tacho and then the problem comes back. mine even behaves properly if gently push the glass thingy inwards slowly. Why would it do this if its a problem with a capacitor or IC or something on the tacho IC board thing. I think i am gonna take mine out tomorrow and look on the outside. BTW is it safe to start the car with the dash cluster out?

Hey Guyz, This afternoon i had a weird problem with my tacho. When i turned on the ignition to the ON position, the tacho meter started fluctuating up and Down. Withouth even starting the engine. I Switched off and on again and the problem went away. Anyways, when driving in the city the problem came back and this time even when driving. when i was driving normal at about 2500RPM it was showing about 5000RPM. Has anyone experienced this?
