Look at it from the point of homebrew non for profit devs however and it's an entirely different story. Anyone who would be pirating games would probably not have purchased in the first place whilst the vast majority of consumers still will.
Furthermore any money Sony makes through licensing of 3rd party games will still be the same. Nothing changes for them really they're just pissy because they can't have it their way.
No it's completely stock. Auto, No ABS, No Hicas, S2 with 5 stud & decent brakes.
Why would someone bother to upgrade the brakes and hubs on what is essentially a JDM salesreps car without doing anything else?
Tried giving it a clean out, thinking I'll try grabbing a new one and see how I go although took it for a quick drive today and it seemed to get better every minute though it still wouldn't rev past 2500-3000.
Ok so I'm thinking this is an an AFM issue but I'm not really sure.
Basically I took all the air intake off to replace the power steering pump then after I put it all back the car misfires and runs really rough in general and tends to stall.
I haven't really driven the car like this I've just let it idle for a bit and opened up the throttle a little. I cleaned up the engine bay a lot while I was at it as it was all dusty and dirty.
Could it be possible that I may have just gotten something on the AFM or damaged it whilst it was out or is this caused by something else?
Hmm, I was just assuming as it looks similar to the Aus vin my 33 has from compliance. It may depend on when/where it was complied or a whole bunch of other reasons so if someone with more knowledge on the subject could chime in that would be good.
This, I don't know how it is where you are but in Vic you can apply for an exemption if it's your work car and your employer specifies you need it (Works out well if you're self employed except you can only technically drive it to and from work related things) or you can get an exemption if it is a 4 door with less than 125kw per tonne.
The top number is its JDM vin it would have come with from the factory, the lower VIN is the one it would have been issued with during compliance for registration in Australia.
With the stock airbox in place DE's & DET's look pretty much identical at a glance. Get a cop who knows what to look for and all it takes is (as has already been mentioned) a look at the exhaust mani for your story to come undone. Get a cop who knows Skylines and (providing you don't have the boot badging) all it takes is a look at your quarter panel GT badges.
I don't know why you would run a pod filter anyway if you're driving a car you aren't allowed as it will just give them a reason to look a little further, chuck the standard airbox back on and it will look heaps less suss.
