  1. Hi guys, Ive kept these for some time but am clearing stuff out. I have an awesome used K&N power filter for a Skyline. (Rebranded M's). Its a bit dirty but this is a washable filter and looks and sounds awesome in a Skyline. Suits R33 GTSt perfectly, not sure about other models. Also have a Razo RA43 shift knob. This is the coolest shift knob you can get for your car! It feels smooth and shiny in your hand, and it has a very fine machined surface which is awesome to touch. Im moving interstate and just want to offload these to a local Skyline guy who would love to have them. I am not putting a price down, and I wont be checking this forum so please just give me a ring about it on 0434 461157 and make an offer.. anything would be taken, I just dont want to cart these around and I dont want to throw them away! I have an Audi now, and while I still love my Skylines, I don't see myself using these ever again. Item location: St Kilda, Melbourne. Cheers
  2. Hi All, I have a 1997 skyline GTSt with a bit of a shudder. The shudder occurs at low speed on full lock, ie: when I am reversing out of a car park (and turning at the same time) or doing a Uturn. I dont have an "A-LSD" light on my dash, so I assume that I don't have an Active LSD which was an option on GTSts. I have read that LSDs can give shuddering if there is the wrong kind of fluid in them, although I think that this diagnosis applies to mechnical LSDs. From my internet research I wasnt very successful in finding a problem description which related to Viscous LSDs specifically. It is highly likely that my car has not had the usual maintenance done on it. However, since the Viscous LSD unit is sealed, what would my diagnostic / maintenance steps be? Would it help to replace the diff oil in this case, or am I up for a job to replace the LSD altogether.. or are there other explanations other than the LSD being at fault ? Thanks in advance for the advice..
  3. Hi All .. I have just recently imported my own '96 R33 GTSt. I have noticed it comes with a factory alarm. I am making that judgement from the fact that the alarm is not branded in any way and the wiring loom appears to be part of the normal wiring loom behind the dashboard. I didnt actually know that R33s had a factory alarm option. This alarm unit appears to also have a antenna, suggesting a keyless entry, but I dont have the remote. Can anyone tell me if they have the same? Does the factory alarm come with a keyless entry remote? Also, what security does the alarm offer? Does it immobilise the car aswell? Thanks, Steven
  4. I am considering the following second hand rims for a 33 GTSt: 18 * 9 (+30) Front 18 * 10 (+17) Rear I think both the front and rear are too far out from the hub. I dont want to modify the cars appearance by flaring the wheel arches in any way, but of course rolling the sheet metal under the guard can be done without affecting the appearance so I would be okay with doing that. Do you think these rims will have a problem? Thanks. Steven
  5. As above, looking for a double height stock stereo from an R33
  6. Hi There - I am wondering if anyone has any pictures of a R33 wearing 19s? I would like to know what this looks like compared to 18s. Also - does anyone know if there would be any likely problems fitting them ? Thanks Steve

    19s on a R33 ?

Hello All .. I am just wondering if anyone has any pics of a 33 (GTS) wearing 19s. I would like to know what they look like, and if there were any problems with fitment. Thanks Steve
  8. Plates in storage since selling my car. ( I am going to buy a 97 now .. ) So I wont be needing this. $1000 or offer. Thanks Steve PS: I just checked with RTA - apparently to buy this now you have to pay an annual fee ! What a joke. It also now costs $50 to store a plate for one year, and last year it was $23. Talk about inflation.
  9. 21500 .. but I made a quick sale .. due to financial problems. I think it could have got more.. but hey .. oh well..
  10. Hi All .. Unfortunately it is time to sell due to commitments. I *dont* want to part with my car .. but it must go. I have for sale a 1996 Silver Series 2 R33 Skyline. 88000 kms. It comes with the following features: Blitz Blow Off valve. (The type 1 I beleive) HKS Turbo Timer. K&N Racing Air Filter. Full Hi-Tech 3" Exhaust system from turbo back. (Was just installed) Veilside 18" "Andrew Racing V" wheels. 18 * 9.5 rear, 18 * 8 front. Razo Aluminium shift knob. Nismo Clear side-indicators. 11 Months Registration. Spare set of original Skyline 16" wheels + tyres. There is small panel damage on the rear left quarter panel.. due to me gently scraping a concrete column in a car park - this has been quoted $450 to repair. The car has been maintained well .. it has just received new Bendix ultimate brake pads, and the front discs were just recently machined. I have also completed oil changes using 2 sets of oil, one to flush out.. and the other, using Shell Helix Ultra. It runs standard turbo pressure.. so the car runs with good economy (as far as skylines are concerned). I will possibly sell seperately or keep the Veilside wheels, if you want the car without them subtract $2000. The asking price is a very negotiable $ 22,000. My phone number is 0409 828097
  11. Hello All .. I am having problems with my wastegate. I have stock R33. My turbo is not boosting, the wastegate seems to be jammed. I have removed the heat shield and wastegate actuator, and noticed that the wastegate is catching on something. When you turn it, it will not freely turn anticlockwise until you lift it. I had once had the exhaust manifold to turbo gasket break up .. and require fixing so I am thinking that maybe a small piece of gasket worked its way down into the wastegate inside and now this is the reason why It is jamming. Can anybody please comment before I start taking the turbo off my vehicle. Thanks, regards
