Oil Pressure Sensor- Is It Just A Reader
Mr.Massive replied to Mr.Massive's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks bubba, I thought so - I'm going to have fun trying to unscrew this thing -
Hey guys, I'm just connecting everything up to my stagea engine in my R33 GTS4 and am having a problem fitting in the oil pressure sensor plug. The plug appears to be to big for the slot. I have got this engine from a wrecker and am thinking he has pulled the standard one off and placed another as it seems impossible to connect. Im just curious if the sensor just goes to the gauge and nothing else and if i can do any harm driving with it unplugged. If it does its not a big deal as i still have the sensor from the de. Thanks.

Hey guys, Just realised that i do not have a thermo fan however i do have the plugs for it. I have a r33 Gts4 which i have recently dropped in a stagea motor and am just concerned about the heat of the engine. Does this model not come with a factory thermo fan or has someone most likely removed it for some reason. Thanks.

Hey Guys, Ive just replaced the front diff in my stagea engine to the gts4. I had a mate come round to do it who was a mechanic and i am just concerned about the yoke (part where the front shaft connects and spins the diff centre). It doesn't seem to be moving at all even with a few jolts with a wrench. The hubs spin when i turn them however the yoke doesn't, which tells me the spider gears are ok. Im thinking it just needs alot of pressure on it which is hard to do at the moment due to my car being on jack stands. Should it be ok to connect the front shaft to it and hopefully it will turn as it seems to be stuck? Any thoughts guys? Cheers

Baby Gtr Conversion Engine Removal Help
Mr.Massive replied to Mr.Massive's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Missed a bolt Engines just hanging now, just got to crack the engine mounts as the diff has no room to exit, this is gonna be fun. PS/ were you actually being serious about rotating the gearbox as that just confused me. -
Engine Conversion- Front Diff/sump Help
Mr.Massive replied to Mr.Massive's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the help guys everything is now disconnected. However we kind of got pissed off and grinded off the 4 bolts and nuts on the driveshaft. Suprisingly no damage to the shaft itself -
Hey guys, It’s been a week since I started my R33 gts4 AWD rb25det conversion and the de is finally ready to come out, the problem is its not. I am removing the engine from the gear box and am having some trouble. All nuts and bolts have been removed attaching the engine to the gear box and half of the engine is hanging from the box apart from the top section. I have looked at the back of my new motor and have noticed a male bolt at the top. Does any one have any idea how to get this thing off? I have tried to pry it open with screw drivers and crow bars, lifted the engine up and down on an angle multiple times and still not budging. When I had a friend from Niss Wreck come over he said something about the clutch and how some skylines won’t allow you to take out the engine this way due to the clutch. Someone, anyone please help Thanks

Engine Conversion- Front Diff/sump Help
Mr.Massive replied to Mr.Massive's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Also if I left the sump hanging without support from the motor is it heavy enough to do damage to the diff? Just to be sure. -
Hey guys, I am just about to take out my motor out of my R33 GTS4. What’s got me a bit puzzled is the front diff. What is the best way to remove the motor? Right now I am considering unbolting the sump and diff and taking out the motor separately as I am going to use the same diff. But will this make it harder for stuff to line up when I am fitting in the turbo motor? Thanks.

Why Do R33 Number Plates Lift Up?
Mr.Massive replied to Mr.Massive's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yea back plate the front doesn't move :s. Haha i was thinking of that motor setup aswell. Someone told me they went up for trader plates. -
Hey guys, I was in the process of ripping out my old loom when I realized my new one doesn't have abs. I called up the place I bought the engine from (JIS) and they told me they don’t have any other loom to exchange it with. I know many people disengage their abs for track use however the way I see it is that I’m going to be running a turbo engine on non turbo brakes for a while, that’s already bad enough as it is. Is it a big risk not having abs? Should I go to another wrecker and see if I can swap my loom? Your opinions? Thanks Guys

Hey guys, I have asked this to alot of people and have had alot of different answers does anyone know why they just didn't bolt them down?

1997 AWD Rb25de from R33 gts4 Missing Crank angle sensor, engine cover, coil packs, alternator, starter motor, aircon compressor and power steering. Selling with loom and computer Motor just under 74000km( Genuine). Never had any problems with this motor, selling due to a turbo engine upgrade. The engine will be sold with a s1 stagea diff within the sump, however if offered a price may be willing to separate the diff and sell it separately with the sump. $700 ONO Thanks

Hey mate, Get a 25det - I have obtained a bare engine for cheep and am slowly building it up, a lot of your NA gear is compatible (CAS, AFM, alternator etc) so that will save you some money. It's not that expensive, I have gone for a lot of aftermarket bits and that is the reason why I'm down a bit of money, however if you want everything stock your looking at $2000 (DIY).

Help With A Vacuum Hose On New Air Intake Piping
Mr.Massive replied to Nick378's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You dont really need to recirculate it, everybody has their own opinion about this. I know a couple of mates that have blocked off the bov return and havn't had any hassles. -
Thanks guys, this should be easier than I first thought

Thanks fletch - can anyone else verify this? Thanks

Hey guys, I am in the middle of fitting in a 25det from a stagea into my gts4 r33 with a NA motor. I have choosen to keep the gts4 diffs for street purposes (longer gear ratio). Its going to be a very oily job changing the diffs so I was just curious if the NA sump is compatible with the stag sump without any modification? Anyone? Thanks

One obtained thankyou

Hey guys, I am looking to borrow an engine crane from someone for two weeks or so. I will need it by the weekend. If anyone is interested in lending me one, there is a carton of beer in it for you Thanks PS: I was going to post this in the wanted to borrow section, but wasn’t sure if that was just for stock items (for defects)
