I think that the FS and WTB sections should be mixed, but a radial button that lets you filter if you want to so that only FS or WTB are displayed if needed. ie you open the forum and they are all together and you can browse both, but if you need to be specific you can then select WTB or FS and it will filter and you only look at the one. This could be easily managed at the start by having people placing adds select a category, then their ads will have WTB or FS at the start of every thread. No category=no ad. I also think that the WTB for a car is way different to Spare Parts. I would always keep WTB for cars in the For Sale section [for Whole Cars] - no filter button necessary. The traders definitely deserve better levels of access and ability. I think they should be able to answer adverts [price of goods is mandatory] with a solution and/or suggestions, but no whoring [would only make the business look pushy and stupid anyway]. I also think that they should be allowed to hyperlink their latest adverts - that they place under their trader forum - in the general FS section. This way they can basically say 'hey look guys we now have these in stock'. And example of this would be: Title: Rays Wheels Content:Just arrived, brand new OEM Rays Ultralite Golds, $1500 a set, 5 sets in stock, see http://XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX for details and pics. So no pics or big ad banners, and the threads should be locked, the buyer has to click on and go to the link [trader forum] to see more detail, make an inquiry, or place an order. I like this last idea because I know a lot of us have missed out on items because we didn't see it on the trader forum in time, not all parts are always available.

Used to use a VHT copper spray on head gaskets always worked, but [although the specs were good enough] never needed to use it on a turbo flange gasket.

Never heard of litihum being used for a car [and yet it sounds so logical].......so thanks, now I have and the link I found sounds good. And they are an Aussie company so you can talk direct to them!!! Plus 10 years use out of them - my next battery will be lithium I think!!! One caution though, make sure it is designed for a cars charging system. http://www.superstart.com.au/Products/ProductList/tabid/108/mode/details/bid/15/Default.aspx https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/articles/battery-articles/gel-vs-agm.html

Ok, if time was irrelevant what top 5 artists would you like to see live? Only 5, artist and year/decade please!! For me its: 1. King Crimson late '70's 2. Led Zeppelin late 70's 3 Smashing Pumpkins 90's 4. Porcupine Tree 2010ish is fine 5. Howlin' Wolf 60's Notice how it gets harder as you go down the list!!! Would have said Black Sabbath but I have now crossed that off my bucket list. And to think of all the artists I've missed out on in that list - so hard.

The Sour Kraut And The Swede - A Euro Tale
tridentt150v replied to DivHunter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I always wondered who bought second hand euro's......I think you should try a Peugeot or Fiat next!!! Actually, no, don't.........be cheaper to find a brick wall and start hitting your head against it -
Yeah better oil pump, but ARP studs and stuff all good. Doing the same, but slowly. Have RB30 motor, RB25 head with VCT, oil pump, water pump, and gasket set. Next buy is rods I reckon. So also interested in what you are doing, what you get, and how its going.

Bigger Radiator - Car Not Reaching Operating Temp
tridentt150v replied to kingtube69's topic in General Maintenance
I wrap a couple of rags around the bleed valve and crack it open and closed a few times. The first time I tend to leave it open until I get flow, then its just open till it dribbles then off. Its not that hard. On a slope [on jack or ramps] would create cavities and not bleed properly I'd reckon [but don't know], I do mine on all four wheels. I tried the coke bottle trick once but it didn't make any difference for me, just added another complexity I didn't need so haven't used it since. -

How do they know you only did 10 trips??? Seems like an open ended thing to me. I could do one trip to Adelaide and clock up 5,000km, or you could do 20 trips to the shops and clock up 500km. -
Try Just Jap or one of the specialty outlets that cater for imports.

Bigger Radiator - Car Not Reaching Operating Temp

Put your old thermostat back in and see what happens. -
I have to jack mine up just to get the ramps under the tyres - can't drive up them, too low. But I've been using a Repco low profile steel/iron jack for years and it is fine, gets under the car and onto the subframe at the front no issues. I usually put a 600mm bit of 4x2 across the frame to even out the load though. Cost me around $200. Only thing is its heavy, but thats what trolley wheels are for.

I have a small aluminium custom key ring set up I want to black anodise. I need a business that specialises in small job lots. Prefer NSW but Vic is OK. Thanks in advance.

Could be Wine Red but more of a Plum or Burgundy. With soft fruity aftertones and a hint of blueberry and citrus. Nice colour BTW.

^^^ This, try another battery or jumper pack and see if the problem goes away. -
Yep. Skyline standard motor 142/206kw, and we are smashing 300+ out of them unopened. We have no right to complain about breaking stuff, would happen with any modded motor.

Interesting.......I had a 4wd and was sick of going on trips sitting in dust with straw floating around in the cabin [my 4wd was a real one, dusty muddy, tools on the back seat, grass seeds on the floor, ladder racks etc] I had a small bucket of cash and didn't really care what I ended up with. Was looking for the most for the least and after looking around ended up with a Skyline. To think i nearly bought a WRX/V8 Commodore with my bucket, but the Skyline was better bang for bucks all round - I shudder now. Best car I have ever owned bar none IMO [not that I have ever owned world class stuff, just 4wd's, holdens, fords and the odd american muscle car].
