  4. I'm cruising up sat morning, was going to leave mine around 5:30 so I would get to wallan bp by 6:30ish, should leave me ample time to get there by 7 30.
  5. Thinking of selling the coupe again Has been very good to me, no issues what so ever. Could prob use a tune as she runs rich but other then that it drives and performs very well. When I bought it it was pretty much standard just with a boost controller, turbo back exhaust and a mines ecu. I have since added a cooler and cam gears and got rid of the mines ecu. I had a vg30 on it for a little while but sold it with plans on getting a bigger turbo. The car made 148rwkw on 12psi with the mines ecu and was running overboard rich on boost so with a proper tune would have made 160-170rwkw easy. Its got a 50mm alloy rad with 14inch and 10inch fans, electric fan controller. A/C work great to, nice and cold. The car came with Bilstiens front and rear and I have since bought brand new rear adjustable bilstien shocks with custom aurora springs front and rear, Cusco camber tops, strut brace and brake stopper. The front shocks were rebuilt by previous owner and have no leaks and still feel very tight. I have just gotten rid of the hicas, so it feels very tight in the rear, was abit all over the place before with the standard 25yr old bushes. The ball joints and inner control arm bushes are new, the strut bar bushes are also new. Brakes are standard, but have braided lines on the front (yet to fit the rear ones) Paint is still pretty good, i was always planning on respraying it but it is still very tidy. Interior is clean, I am currently in the process of re gluing the fabric sections back on so one rear trim has no fabric at the moment. More pics soon. The sportmax wheels won't be sold with the car at this price. $7900 ono
  6. So the ones listed on ebay in the us there not a genuine gm coil are they? Just figured if your gonna get them might as well get the real deal instead of a cheaper knockoff. If they are genuine then f**k me there cheap, so much cheaper then any decent replacement coils, well worth the hassles of mounting and wiring. Still cant decide on whether to run these of just get yellow jackets, kinda running out of time before my tune, so kinda need to make a decision asap One issus i have noticed is the dwell time on the coils, i'm guessing you'll need to adjust it via the ecu as it has to be set to around 5ms, not to sure what a standard rb coil's dwell time is?

  8. How can a cop actually test to see if you have a gutted cat/ straight pipe anyways? Unless they are 100% sure they cant really give you an on the spot 10k fine or whatever.

  10. I've been looking at getting a highflow cat before i get a tune, but what brands are legal? I'm talking more about the metal core ones as i guess all the ceramic ones are legal. I have been looking at the venom ones and magnaflow, they are both priced about the same, leaning more towards the venom but it doesnt say if its epa legal where as the magnaflow states that it is. Does anyone know if the venom ones are legal? No point getting a cat only to possibly get epa'd and mass fines etc etc.
  11. Please post up results after you have had the tune. I tried getting the coils cheap through a mate at holden and they were like $200 per coil, which is kinda expensive .
  12. Just go hypergear, i considered cheaper turbos for my 20 but went a hks, its just not worth buying cheap no name turbos
  13. I read the diy but will the rb20 wiring be the same? Basically I would go with the yellow jackets but how long have they been around for? No point buying a product that has a 2 year warranty when the company might not be around in a year or so. Not to mention theres stuff all info on where there made. I'm going to see how much i can get ls2 coils for and go from there, no point if the setup is the same or more the splitfires. It looks promising though as the ls2 coils are meant to have a big spark.
  14. My old gtt came from there and my missus's brothers gtst came from there and they were both clean as, they are alot better then 95% of the other importers around.
  15. I cant believe they can give you a no proof defect and expect you to pay for any tests or whatever even if your car passes an epa test. This happened to a mate at work and it's seriously bulls**t.
  16. Hi all, so the time has come for me to get new coils for my 20 as i still have the original ones . Was browsing through the fab section and saw a post on ls1 coils on a rb20, nothing was really discussed in detail so did a search and found some scattered info of people doing this and saying nothing but good things about them. My question is who on here has done this on there rb? Was it an easy install? I would really appreciate any info on this as I'm considering going this route as a full set (8) ls1 coils is roughly half the price of splitfires. One massive pro to this setup is you can can your standard ignitor as the coils have them inbuilt, which seems really good as i'm sure the standard 20 odd year old ignitor would be the weakest link after upgrading to say some new splitfires. Also having them mounted of the engine has to be better for a coil, not having all the heat go straight into the coil. But can a standard ecu run them? They apparently can but there is stuff all info out there. Cheers.

  18. Haha are u serious, hicas was put there to prevent oversteer and make the car more 'tame', ppl remove it causes its a crap idea, something for ppl who cant drive 'real' cars. Who wants there rear end moving around when they want predictable handling. Remove it and your problem is solved, best cheap mod you can do.

  21. Hi all, just want to know if the standard banjo fittings and bolts will fit with a hks 2530? If not then where would be a good place to get a line kit from? GCG? Cheers.
  22. Max psi 12-14 for standard turbo, you will maybe get 200rwkw if your lucky.
