  1. you could try carpro PERL. It's pretty cheap, and since you dilute it you get quite alot out of that one bottle. it's really easy to apply, you just spray it on and let it dry, although for areas like engine bays I tend to use an applicator. It could be good for doing your wheel arches though since you just spray it on? It's also really cheap. It's decently durable, but not particularly great, especially if diluted. 303 is probably a bit better. But then again - if you're washing it every week this is a cheap solution and easy to use?
  2. hm in terms of pads for hand polish theres not too much option. off the shelf I think the meguiar's foam ones are alright, pretty good price too. If you're prepared to pay a bit more, could try Lake country hand applicator pads - orange or white should be good, depending how much cutting ability you need. for a polish I haven't really been up to date with off the shelf stuff. My favourite was always the autoglym paint renovator though. could try meg's ultimate compound, it seems to be quite popular. I believe it used to be P21S paint cleansing lotion that was known to be pretty good for hand polishing. But you could use any cutting compound really - menzernas - depending how much cut you need. I havn't really tried to get rid of anything major with a hand polish, but with enough effort you may see some decent results !
  3. If i'm not wrong its about 8k or something to put an east bear kit on. I could be wrong though, its been a long time since i've looked into it. imho, keep your gt/gtt looking the way it is, and if you want a body kit, get something that was made for gt/gtt, keep the authenticity of it. It'll also be alot cheaper. think about 2k for sides/rear including fitting/painting? when i first got mine i just wanted it to look like a gt-r. but after i'm so glad i didn't. mine just has a basic impul sides/rear on it, and its been lowered onto some 18" wheels. you could do something like the altia kit, very popular, so if you sell it should be all good it'll make the gt-r that much sweeter when we finally get it
  4. I has been linked. Mine are used too sorry man Would nissan perhaps be able to bring em in for u? Not cheap obv but yeah
  5. Suds really aren't too important mate, Final inspections PPBS (high end soap) doesn't sud very much at all. neither does auto glyms. All you need are lubricity and a PH balanced solution as was previously mentioned.
  6. Nah not too sure why man sorry. Yeah it was a great inbetweener between a quick gloss boost and another application of wax or sealant or something. they were meant to be replacing it with their own quick wax. but its been replaced with dark matter - which is really not as convenient as a spray. the dark matter "booster" - "dark energy" i guess has a bit more protection than gloss boost. but i doubt it'd be quite as good as OCW not quite sure where to get it now really! i generally buy stuff from FI or waxit. im sure its still out there somewhere though!
  7. I just use normal car polish ... any cutting type will do the job with even just a hand applicator. nice and easy, just do whenever you're giving your car a polish, or while you're waiting for wax or whatever to dry.
  8. i usually just use water or put some nice car wash solution in there with water
  9. good luck hope it works, jst try on a small spot first .. and make sure its a clean rag!
  10. I love using autosol on metal .. not entirely sure if itll work but give it a go perhaps? just get a clean rag and buff on buff off some autosol in a small spot to check how it goes.
  11. i dont find foaming to be all that effective but maybe thats just me i have that little karcher one - ive tried it a few times and overall havent been too impressed. for a pre wash i usually use something like FI PPBS - spray a little bit of (undiluted) wash solution on each panel and high pressure it slowly down the panels - it seems to work okay and imo better than a foam lance. Id assume any other wash solution would work just as well You could try that too - its a bit cheaper
  12. I have the impul copies on my car those and the altia ones are pretty nice looking imo i like the stock front bumper - just needs a lip of some sort on bottom
  13. spoiler shop did a pretty good job on my car check out a few other places though, and try to get a fixed quote on fitting/painting the kit on from the other places - that way you avoid them charging you bucketloads for labour if the kit doesnt fit well and yeah getting them online yourself is always cheaper - skipping the middleman haha. vivagarage is pretty cheap but im not entirely too sure on the quality of their body kits, ive heard a few mixed reviews. good luk mate i think in style customs pricing is similar to spoiler shops btw
  14. In my opinion if you were looking to buy fibreglass copies - unless experienced in panelbeating yourself - you should probably go to a shop like the spoilershop who both brings the parts in and gets them to fit your car for you. fibreglass kits can be a nightmare to fit, and if you buy the kit yourself and get someone to fit it for you - it may work out more expensive if you have to pay them for tons of labour to get it to fit right. at least from the spoiler shop its a fixed price! Ive gotten a rear bumper + side skirts done from greg and he made them fit very well. he works with carmates products alot so he should have tons of experience getting their kits to fit. vivagarage/carmate are pretty cheap but ive heard their kits can be quite difficult to fit at times. theres another place in bibra lake or oconnor called in style customs or something that brings in carmates stuff, could check with them.
  15. ^ agreed - the boutique brands are probably better value for money. (unless you start going into swissvax and those .. ) Brands like Menzerna, P21s, poorboys especially, Final Inspection, Zaino - great value for money. works better, easier to use, lasts longer for only a little bit more. menzerna polishes are awesome. If you want to try another compound that is great for use by hand try P21S Paint Cleanser P21S Carnauba is amazing, the 100% carnauba version is great value for money, great to use and looks freaking amazing. Where do you get OCW from Aaron? I used to get it off final inspection but its no longer sold They made their own replacement of it called Dark Matter which I have yet to try ... maintenance just isn't required anymore though .. at the very most I just use a few squirts of FI's Gloss boost! I like some of meguiars products - their washes are just fine. tech wax is great for use on normal cars (but do agree it doesn't cut it when trying to get the highest levels). I do like their clay bar kit though, I find it alot more forgiving than the final inspection version and much easier to use. Never had any marring with it. Must try the auto glym one some time tbh I don't stick to much. The only product i'm dedicated to is Final Inspections Sealant, GPC, PWC, Cleanse and Lube - I buy them in bulk. and I guess their polishes. the rest I change about as I need/feel
  16. Wash: I would not go with a "wash n wax" solution. I find when detailing at higher levels, you want a gentle, Ph neutral wash without waxes in it - they can sometimes interfere with the bonding of sealants and the like. I have a wash n wax solution - their ultimate one (the yellow one) is actually great stuff, but I don't use it on cars I maintain with top quality products. I like the soft wash gel, its nice and gentle, and its the cheapest. as long as a wash solution is ph neutral and gentle - just get a cheaper one from a good brand. surface prep: clay bar kit - meg's one rocks imo. I sometimes prefer it to higher end ones - meg's one is very forgiving for a polish - scratch X is okay but not the best. Ultimate compound has plenty of good reviews. the deep crystal one is more of a glaze, you could use it after the ultimate compound if you really wanted but tbh wouldn't bother. protection/LSP lots of people love tech wax 2.0 its very easy to use and works really well. lasts quite some time too. only problem with this is it has cleaners in it so itll strip off sealants/other stuff underneath it - makes it not the best product to layer. good for most uses though never tried their new ultimate wax but people seem to like it. i used to use gold class a long time ago - was a pretty good product, but i think tech wax is probably better. you don't have to be so dedicated to a single brand though! i HIGHLY recommend autoglyms products - my other favourite off the shelf brand besides meguiars. their wash is very very gentle - probably too gentle unless you keep your car very clean. their polishes are very good - their paint renovator is a great cutting compound and works very well by hand. just keep trying - you'll get through tons of different wash solutions over your cars life and you'll find a few you like the most if your really keen go online and have a look at some better products - usually not too much more expensive than off the shelf brand for waxes and polishes i prefer using top brands wash, clay bars etc megs and auto glym do the job just fine
  17. ^ nice man, i like 33's without spoilers nice looking paint too
  18. dkne quoted me 780 for extractors + hi flow cat + flange to make it a diy install delivered. normally its abt 450 for extractors only. not tooo bad

  23. ^ I haven't seen any extractors that cheap for a RB25DE. I think the coby ones arent too bad in terms of pricing - forgot how much they were. check out partsco they sell em for quite cheap I believe. cheaper than what coby themselves quoted me anyway
