  1. I dropped my redline in and it is INSTANTLY BETTER. I used to have to shift carefully into each slot esp. 4th. NOw it doesn't matter. YOu can slam it into gear - it goes in smooth as the proverbial hot knife into butter. T.
  2. Well IMO doing stuff like fitting <18psi Nitto 555R drag tyres and all the little tricks like removing the spacespacer and stuff is kinda cheating a bit. It's the same as dyno runs. I'm sure some of you use octane booster and up the boost but is it all kosher that way? To run that magic 13.4 is a far bit of work in itself and it almosts turns the car into 'not a daily driver'. T.
  3. I kinda like the idea of one of those cheap DR30's. What a sexy looking car (in a wedgy 1980's way) - all the performance in a reasonably cheap package. Also the looks will tend to not attract as much attention as a 32/33... T.
  4. I've been driving a lot in Olympic Village (mainly because my car is shit on Parramatta Road). When the sun gets in your eyes and it's peak hour it's a bit dicey... lots of poles, median strips, park rangers etc. The signs are also way too many. T.
  5. Turn the boost down the in wet - it's a nasty handful on only 7=8 psi... I run min. boost even with it's patchy. T.
  6. Look up "r33 Skyline GT-R" in google.com You get more pictures than you ever dreamed of... T.
  7. I much prefer the GT-R grille to this Nismo one. Both are much of muchness really... Nismo ---> http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/r33_front.jpg T.
  8. And what do you drive kind sir? T.
  9. Yeah but I was unhappy with the fact that many of the turbos spooled up at 3,8 or 4,200 rpm etc. At that rate it's already over. This current one spools at 2,500... T.
  10. I don't think I have any need for more than 250rwkW. You gotta admit that's a lotta juice as it is... in this respect you probably won't be needing a huge snail. T.
  11. I really prefer BP98. But any premium 96+ is ok really. My car does not ping on 96 or better, T.
  12. After a while you'll be stuck into the boost at 16-18-20 psi and you can watch the fuel guage drop visibly... I'm similar to Ben, bit heavier due to more mods, more pressure and I have my right foot buried in the firewall. 400km if lucky. T.
  13. These guys are tuned towards idiots who drive bread and butter machines. Even stuff that is lightly difficult like 4wd's or performance Falcadores brings up problems for Pedders. Certainly they are no place for Skylines... T.
  14. It says so on the paperwork. Also *most* competant compliancers should be able to tell you this. T.
  15. But what if the engine were temporarily tuned or 'advanced' for Elf? T.
  16. What is your VIN number? Mine is ecr33-058499 (or something like that) and it dates it back to 7/8/9 1995. With this number you can pinpoint it down the the exact month (and day given enough matching data). T.
  17. Fake or not, sounds like a bit of a barg for the asking price IF the mods stand up to scrutiny... T.
  18. Here ya go: http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/r34gt-t_brochure.doc 2.26Mb English Word document with scanned images. I will keep this up for a limited time - download away. Interesting for the 34 GT-t owners here. It starkly highlights just how high spec. 34 models are compared to the 33 GTS-t... T.
  19. Interesting thread. I find these figures to be simply amazing. I would expect minimal engine mods and such tricks as lowered psi Nitto 555R's would bring this down to high 11's! T.
  20. I'm gonna do wholesale body changes to my car - most likely 400r everything + either type-m or type-s front bar. + perhaps a 400r front bar for special occasions. T.
  21. Email it to me and I will host it. [email protected] T.
  22. Follow the instructions - it's dead simple. Then you should drive the car to a competant tuner. Then you get the best from the FC, power + fuel economy. T.
  23. The UK got limited numbers of 33 GT-R's and a fair few 34 GT-R's. Both GT-R's were tested by Jeremy Clarkson/Tiff Needell - they were both *incredibly* impressed by them - of course, how can it be any other way with the acceleration, handling and 'driftiness' of both car and drivers. We only got 100 of the '91 32 GT-R (correct me if I'm wrong). All of the Aust. and UK models have minor differences with the Jap. spec. cars. T.
  24. Sydneykid is right about the 2540 - this is backed up by tests on the rb25/26 - more top end at the sacrifice of mid range. For driveability the 2530 is good or a flowed stock rb25det. The merits of flowed stock turbos is acknowledge in other threads - do well to search. T.
  25. Well the prob. is that these turbos often run max. efficiency only at 1.2bar+ Now is this bad? No. They are doing significant power at lower psi. I'm doing more power at less psi! Can't complain about that. T.
