  1. dk, i rocked up a week ago in the middle of the day just because i was in the area. place looked deserted, dust gathering in the shop etc, own story is bringing my non boosting turbo there (wasnt making that swoosh sound..yes i know im a noob) anyway both brothers looked at it and told me i needed a new turbo. booked it in for the week after but in the meantime a mate had a look and told me it was just the actuator flap/gate that had come loose. he fixed in five minutes with some basic tools. pretty much ruined the place for me though im sure they have done some good work in the past. met the girl who seems to run the place at a few track days and she was always friendly, so mixed emotions hearing of their demise.
  2. i'd be either way remember im HARDCORE sorry to hear u get wheelspin so easily Andrew, guess having all that power sometimes has its disadvantages...woot! only time i would be able to lose you i guess, bring on the rain oh and Eddie, if u only ever take that beast out on wknds? then thats just karma biatch if i had that thing it would be on the road morning and night.
  3. yeah they never answered the phone much even when they were up and running. guess this means they are flammable now on here?
  4. you poor bastard. how much damage? have to chase the driver/owner and force him to claim or its civil courts for you. been there done that, no fun. now have insurance
  5. yeah love Eddies plates most of all 'keepup' apparently they attract a bit of attention..wonder why oh and speak for yourself old man i gotta admit i wound it out a little on the way back but only while it was dry and luckily got a completely clear run all the way to the toll booth thingy. Good times. wheres ur pics by the way? only got the scenery didnt u? after a six pack? you know how i know your batshiat crazy?!
  6. hehe sorry Great Sir Andrew,Ed, Michael, Joely moely and Louise, i need to find some of those smart memory pills when they are invented. plus 2 re epic rain after lookout, though it gave me just enough time to be a bit of a 'hoon' on the way out of the park, only came down properly once i got onto the proper traffic light/lane marked roads on the way back to sydney. Didnt see any decent accidents but i can believe they were happening, a Tarago in front of me aquaplaned for a moment and nearly slid off into a bus shelter. exciting stuff. ok bring on the next one with slightly less water please!
  7. wow comforting words. nice to hear it confirmed once and for all that the 'system' is based more on mood/personal bias and luck than actual justice and fairplay. i too hate right lane hogs with a passion and am surprised to hear of someone actually getting booked for it. This is why HWP cars have video camera, do the bikes not have this feature? A mate of mine was pulled over for passing through a red light, was sure he hadnt, disputed it and in court the cop produced dash cam evidence which showed him blowing through one of those intermediate pedestrian only red lights. Egg all over his face but at least there was no doubt and he copped it sweet, in a case like this where its ur word against his. ouch. a good reason to get your own dash cam and just run it off the car power, i hear you can get ones pretty cheap on ebay now. not high quality, but good enough to save your ass the next time your sure its an unfair ticket.. in this case though, dont like your chances.
  8. +one for the above matt oh and heres some pics, dont know how to hotlink from fbook http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=279262&id=511696536
  9. was a bit lame with the acting but some awesome props and passable effects for a home made low budget thing. some of the other fan made stuff was slightly better, killed a good hour or two ok so got back to Camp McCarren and loaded up with processor parts from my stash, clicked on the damn thing and nuthin! re checked and doubled checked even writing it all down, definitely had everything i needed but no luck looks like i will need to use the next two level ups to get my repair skill up to 70 then use a magazine to make it 80 and fix the damn thing that way. as a side note i found the sniper with lesbian tendencies and PTS re a mutant rape, talked to her mates and convinced her to see a doc about it. random but cool sidequest. ran around stealing ammo and forgot to save for half an hour or so (no doors out there so not automatic) and of course it froze. the only game i have played since GTA san andreas which froze so often. almost makes me want to throw it out the window. almost
  10. damn was keen on importing a 'proper fast pre modded' GTR and now all this. starting to think it might not be worth the bother
  11. yup that was me and lovely guy in the black 33 but as usual i forget his name, we met 'hicas' in the cafe with some couple in a ..skyline of some kind. i have a shitty memory for names sorry. anyway all had a great chat, u should have checked in. i think u texted me meeting at central too eiresgaus?
  12. sad to hear about the dramas with the car, which one? mine is stuck on full blast heat no matter what i do, got a liitle hot today with the rain preventing me from doing the usual arm out the window relief. that'll teach me for letting a mate install my new stereo head unit anyway went for a blast up to the lookout today with 2 black skylines, looked pretty sweet, even got in for free with the inclement weather. bonus! stopped raining by 330 pm and only started again about 420 when we took off again, nice roads but not that twisty, most of its off camber sweepers which is just fine with me. Got back to town hall just after five pm will post pics after i can be arsed to go back downstairs to the car and get the camera
  13. ur website time is an hour behind so u actually put that up at 1230 ..def bit late. ok anyone who arrives and want to do a smaller drive. 2 of us at the cafe at church point (on;ly one, has bar/supermarket too). will sit around till 230pm 0410644102

  16. thats it, see u guys about 12, i finish 10 am but will hang around till peeps show up. fingers crossed re the rain!
  17. the big open one at the top of the ramp, its just off the top of pitt st where it meets george and regent and railway sq not the side of the road, its like its own massive carpark outside, with a little green park in it, buses get up there now and then but its mostly taxis and the parking. here My link and sir Rb your times sound perfect.
  18. saturday is the cruise...good luck mebbe the sunday but dont want the machine and dont finish till one pm
  19. nice so whos meeting at 12 pm then? such a relief its not 2.5, big fail on reading the damn site this is why... 1. 47 mins Pittwater Rd 33.5 km 2. 48 mins Wakehurst Parkway 36.5 km 3. 47 mins Wakehurst Parkway and Pittwater Rd 36.9 km thats off the direction finder thingy, clearly its not cumulative but i was confused by it giving different times so just added them all up. FAIL! anyway so yup, 12pm. central car park still good? i count 3 or so of us so far, wattle st works from there or just as easy, through china town and right off liverpool onto bridge. bring it!
  20. seriously cool if we have a few leaving from the city as its a 2.5 hour drive according to google maps and could be lonely otherwise. to be there just before 2pm we need to leave central 1130am at the latest, i finish work about then anway. does everyone know the starting location? just go up pitt st and into the carpark at central near railway square. any dramas call me 0410644102
  21. ah thanks mate, will go have another look. poked around everything computer looking at the time but obviously not hard enough. finally got a companion from black mountain, swarthy mexican and now i have enough parts to fix the ncr kitchen machine. woot!
  22. hi tasch, can meet in city before going, say in front of downing local court liverpool st? that way we can all do a big smokin exit with flames spitting out the back just coz. or more realistically the countrylink carpark at central (nothing to do with the fact that i work there) oh and terry ta for the gps entry, ur a lifesaver! now time for meet up?
  23. two teenage looking asian guys in a black R35 GTR about 11pm tonight on the way to city along pac highway cremorne, followed them all the way to bridge. pulled up at lights and gave them the thumbs up and asked if they wanted to 'swap'? they giggled like school girls then gunned it on green losing serious traction (road was wet), i let them take off then went my own way. sigh, so unfair.
  24. ok thanks dave and other evil guy, will look into it for sure. passenger in my car said it didnt sound exactly like a boost leak so might need a professional to look at it anyway apparently a lot of time for part timers at tracks is in the braking, like most of it. good pads and lines could help just a tad..
  25. Orly? getting one of these cylinder stoppy things tonight, hope it makes a difference as i have been waiting on it for a while. keep hearing about this unigroup guy, is the place waaaay out west though? been using IS racing in rockdale now and then, im sure there good but a little exxy. was eighty bucks just to pump some smoke through and look for a boost leak. it was found and i drove out to a guy he recommended, skyline parts in wetherill park who fitted a new hose etc for fifty bucks! went to the track day, turned boost up and same high pitched whine and now only 0.75 bar instead of .9. sigh sorry if off topic. at least 3 of us in here getting QF pads soon then, enough for a group buy?>?
