  1. MY17 Orange GTR Stolen Hi everyone, after a few years out of the GTR scene I bought a new one a few months ago. Two nights ago scumbags broke into my house, took the keys and stole my car. It was last scene by police in a pursuit in Moroubra - keep your eyes open for me CAE-22P, Metallic Blaze.
  2. Good lap man, but you still cant get a girlfriend...
  3. I have a custom four inch stainless system for sale. Has a stock look at the rear with original Nissan twin exits. Make an offer.
  4. haha, only hitch....my mate had them in his trailer - mind you I did a 1:05.8 on the street tyres first!!!!!!
  5. My experience at Wakefield yesterday defines what is great about the R35. I woke up early due to day light savings and thought I'd take a drive to wakefield for only the second time ever. My car is mildly modded (coolers, tune and exhaust) with standard suspension, standard aero and standard camber, 98 octane pump gas, and second hand slicks from the porsche cup series. I ran a 1:02.4 in my second session of the day! The thing can mix it with a track spec lotus in the tight stuff, and hang with a viper down the straight. Then I then put the baby seat back in, turned up the stereo, turned on the air con, and drove home. For a car that is driven every day, that carries two little boys around, it sure is insane! I couldn't care less what those whom choose to knock the GTR say, this car is one of a kind.
  6. The engine will blow up soon, so will the tranny...trust me.
  7. Latest addition, a little racing stripe or two.....
  8. Have now upgraded the Cobb Software, added tranny cooler, HKS intercooler and BOVs, custom 4 inch exhaust (looks stock from outside) sounds awesome, brake system upgrade including pads, discs, braided lines, fuel pump. Car makes around 390 atw on pump gas stock injectors and turbos. I have decided to sell my Greddy turbo kit and am going to opt for the Willall upgrade instead. Reason being I want low and mid range. The Greddy system is brand new so pm me an offer. Latest shots of the car...
  9. Also have an aeromotions fixed wing, brand new never been used. Have decided to keep stock look on new car. Make an offer.
  10. Guys I have decided to sell my Greddy R35 Turbo kit. I paid $16,000 for the kit, it was installed into 09GTR before she got decapitated, it is brand new - I only drove the car once with the kit - its is awesome - good for 500 plus kilowatts atw, but have decided to go for more of a circuit set up. So make me any offer if you wish - kit comes with everything you need including pods, waste gates, etecetc
  11. Never thought I'd say this - great read White35! by the way the 2010 car has absolutely no understeer whatsoever
  12. I disagree with your assessment White 35. This car has had one lady owner, only driven around town to do the shopping, and the gear box has been well looked after, only ever driven in auto, VDC always on. I did lend you the keys once though.....but I can confirm it was faster than your white wreck.
  13. I agree Chris, still likely someone will end up driving it. Whats an engine and tranny worth these days? Thats where my interest lies.
  14. thats probably the way to go, forget the interior, just build a track day special. I still worry about the structural integrity at the speeds this thing will do. If you were content with eastern creek and wakefield, it probably wouldnt be such an issue though. Tyres are brand new btw.
  15. Guys, both quarter panels are gone, they are welded to the chassis, boot is gone, spoiler gone, roof gooooone, windscreen, interior is completely ruined including seats, glass has scratched the thing to pieces - at $60 k the repair would have to come under about $55 k to make it worthwhile. The car has had a very big impact so suspect some chassis damage, I wouldnt race it with that sort of damage, and at $60 k, do the math.......
  16. Well, as you'd be aware 09GTR was destroyed a couple of months ago, just as it was going through its latest Greddy upgrade for Bathurst. Thanks to the good work of the lads at Col Crawford and my insurer I was able to take delivery of a new 2010 Grey GTR the Saturday before Bathurst. I had to drive a couple of thousand clicks to run her in, and then some very mild fettling from CRD (a mid-pipe, dump pipes, and Cobb tune, plus brake upgrade) saw a solid 360 atw, and ready for Mount Panorama. These pictures are taken six days after I picked the car up and just a few hours before cracking a 2:26 at the Mountain. The plan from here is to get the maximum from the stock turbos (say 400 - 420 atw) on 98, then get a few kms on the car, and then get those big Greddys doing their thing. I'll update things as we go. I owe a big thank you to CRD for prepping the car in time, and for the great work they did at the track over the course of the event. White 35 (pictured above) was able to smash a 2:21 which pretty much meant he was the fastest road registered car on the day. btw - the 2010 seems much improved over the 09, the sat nav is a revelation, as is the suspension. Takes to fettling very well also!!!
  17. Just back home after a great few days, White35 managed a 21, I pulled off a 26 in a car that was on the showroom floor six days ago. These cars are amazing! We'll provide a full update and pics in due course.
  18. I hope not, after all it was not my fault. I'll let you know. I imagine their recoveries dept will be all over the transporter.
  19. On Saturday I take delivery of a 2010 gun metal grey r35. This car will replace my red 09 GTR that has featured in the modification thread "love the beast". The car that I, along with CRD, have spend huge amounts of money and time on is sadly no longer with us. It's death was both a terrible accident and an act of negligence on the part of one of australias largest car transport companies. I had engaged their services to move my car back to the workshop after some testing of my latest mods (greedy turbo kit, tranny cooler, intercooler, exhaust, injectors, fuel pumps etc). We needed further dyno time to prepare for the upcoming Bathurst event. The car had to overnight at the transporters western Sydney depot. As the internal security camera images later illustrated, the truck driver was attempting to park my car in the depot in front of a large transport trailer. The car was in reverse gear, rolling slowly backwards towards the trailer. The driver, wanting to prevent the roll stomped on the brake pedal to attempt to bring the car to an abrupt halt. The driver stomped the wrong pedal. Thankfully the driver ducked and was unharmed. The car on the other hand was decapitated, destroyed. The big lesson in all of this is to check the contract fine print on any contract you sign handing your car over to a third party. Clause seven on my contract stated that in the event of any damage, only the market value would apply to any total loss scenario. This meant the transporter would have paid me market value (130k) minus the value of the wreck (say 50k), a total of 80k. This fact was pointed out to me by the head office risk manager within minutes of me seeing the wreck, the empathy was outstanding. Thankfully my own insurer had a replacement vehicle policy for cars less that two years old. The transport company involve were kind enough to offer me a free transport somewhere! Naturally, due to their policy, I declined. Anyway, the silver lining arrives on Saturday, and the journey begins all over again, quite exciting really!
  20. Gt riceri, no wonder you've never modded a car!
  21. White35 tried sway bars, virtually useless. Tyres and wheels made the difference, followed closely by brakes and lines.
  22. Handbrake, you have to mod the q7 - my family wagon is a ford territory turbo that can do 0 - 100 in 5.4 seconds, great for leaving wrxs and ss commodores in the dust off the line! It's loads of fun. Ghostrun, you do make a good point actually. When I think about my kids, I want them to learn to drive a normally aspirated manual as soon as they are tall enough to reach the pedals ( on a farm somewhere) well before they can get a real license. Don't want them learning the ropes in modded cars on the road, that's for sure!
  23. I've modified every car ive ever owned. Including the family people mover. Why? Because cars are projects to me. They are not devices that take me from A to B. They are opportunities to experiment, to learn, and to enjoy. It's like cooking, making home brew - if it's a passion, then seek to learn everything you can. Make mistakes along the way, push the envelope....after all this is the very essence of human achievement in every field. Of course, there are those born to follow, to fit in line behind everyone else, follow someone elses recipe, accept the notion that you can't do any better, and to be frank humankind needs these people too. So ghost run, don't go changing, because on the ship bound for new destinations we can always use someone to do the grinding.
  24. Ok, the latest is an easy 464 kw atw at 19 pounds on PUMP GAS! I have run out of injector on the E85 tune so will report back when I have some larger units. In the mean time I will just have to do with 464! Hehehehe...
  25. Latest update is 450 kw at the wheels on 98 octane and 19 pounds, easy. No real need to dial up any more boost, just need to switch to E85 fuel for some powaaaa...
