  1. I'm not sure; mine's pretty notchy under power, feels nothing like my old cone LSD that was preloaded to the shithouse; much tighter... Might just be that they don't cop such a hard time at stock power output; so they're nice & fresh.
  2. Reflection? Try not to look at the ugly bloke; With painted skirts; Without; Now hurry up with my bits!
  3. You'll probably find the clearcoat is starting to lift, this exposes the alloy to the atmosphere and it corrodes. Stripping, re-polishing and repainting the clearcoat will probably be the only solution, any half arsed measures will only make it worse.
  4. That's a very classy addition to a very neat GTR; and Kudos on the other machinery in the background...
  5. Detailed my car today, in anticipation of it's shiny new Aero Bars (which are taking WAAAAAY too long to get painted); my son of rajab it's a sexy bitch when it's shiny! Dodo juice Lime Prime is very nice to use on black paint.
  6. True Ian; but Ironpaw isn't running STD 17's on his anymore, (due to Brembos?) so his Rolling Dia. (depending on tyre profile) will be close to, if not slightly bigger than an AXIS and only around 3% smaller than an AR-X.
  7. And obviously going the other way; around 300 microns is average for repairs or respray, so it's fairly easy to tell what's factory & what's not.
  8. Yep they're just hydraulic pump circuits; any hydraulic fluid would do (any ATF type) there's only pump vanes & seals. It's only when you introduce friction materials (clutch plates, bands); the type of fluid must match the friction material.
  9. Lol, that's pretty low , probably looks sweet tho', so the measurements didn't work for you Theo? Edit; how far down over the metal guards do your plastic overfenders extend? Also, are you running 225/45/18s or 245/45/18 on yours?
  10. Well considering all these cars use the same gear ratios and diff ratios, and rolling diameters will be very close; it's probably a fair comparison, especially given they're all on the same dyno. Everyone knows it's just a number; but with identical drivetrains you're comparing apples with apples...
  11. As others have said; if you have HICAS, you have LSD. The HICAS rack is very obvious when you stick your head under the back end. I have a 250t RS Four and it has HICAS & LSD; is good . A quick look should answer your question. If you want to cover your arse; it won't do any harm to use an LSD oil in a normal diff, the LSD oils just don't have friction modifiers in them. Also regarding the Rocker Cover Gasket; I got one last week and it had to be ordered in; only took a week. Depends when in the cycle you make the order; it could be the day before they ship their 2 weekly lot; could be the day after. I've never waited longer than 2 weeks so far.
  12. I normally renew the front pair, and cut down one of the old ones to use on the back; as Aaron says, pre bend it to suit the curve. Plastic backed blades are shit; not flexible enough. I only use the rubber ones with two stainless strips in them; over the counter at Repco is the only place I can find them anymore...
  13. Lol, I'm sure the Parking Inspector would see it that way too...
  14. But the Stagea IS a 4WD... Now what?
  15. Green C34 going through Faulconbridge yesterday, heading up the mountains followed by a silver R32 GTR. Nice day for it!
  16. Don't know if it's been mentioned, but torn up paper poked into the hole (newspaper works great), then punched (same principle as grease method) in with a hammer & punch works very well. Then you just flick out a mashed up wad of compressed paper fiber. Clearances need to be very close for grease method to work, otherwise it just pumps out around the punch; much less important with torn up paper. Amazing build BTW; love the execution.
  17. Mounting points are all the same, so there's no reason why not. Possibly the only reason manufacturers wouldn't recommend, is because you may not be able to match standard height if you wanted to go that way. 30mm below standard AR-X height would be fairly straightforward though.
  18. Nice one Jules! Pretty clear in the guidelines that the wagon qualifies. Getting one over a parking inspector; livin' the dream right there.
  19. Bingo! Exactly what I found, don't need to lean on it as hard to get the same performance either. You'll likely see a slight improvement in economy; once the novelty wears off...
