  1. Nice work, do you have the dimensions for the amp? The Kenwood amp I had in my last r33 would not fit in there. Edit: found the amp at the Kenwood site Size [mm] : 330[W] x 59[H] x 227.26[D]
  2. Hey I'm also looking at add some more punch to my sound system. Looking at spending about 1000 max on speakers and amp. Then later on look at adding a sub. I'm wondering if anyone has tried or heard the Alpine DDLinear speakers? I'm thing about running them off a Alpine PDX-F4 amp. Currently got a Kenwood KDC-X8019BT head unit which I put in a few months ago and some old Clarion speakers that were in there when I got the car.
  3. I'm a noob with spark plugs too. What do you plugs look like when you take them out? I have found some interesting reading at the NGK site this page in particular http://www.ngk.com.a...k-plug-analysis This page kinda backs up what The Mafia said about tune might be the problem over bad plugs, could it be a bit lean with 15 psi and standard injectors? I was using 8's (which it had when it was imported) with similar mods you and about 250kw, but after about 4000 k's took them out and checked them, figured they might be a bit cold for day to day driving as they were black as when I took then out so guessed they might be fouling up and went back to 7's which have been in for 11,000k's without a problem so far. As is said I am a noob, and would be more then happy to be corrected, so I can learn more about it.
  4. I'm keen for the boot interior. I should be able to get to Sydney early next week, would COD be ok with you?
  5. Have you got the LED brake light that goes in the rear wing for the gtst?
  6. Igot R33 gtst SII child restaing brackets, was going to put them in the bin so you can have them if you want
  7. Found what I was looking for Interesting reading http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/301146-r33-headlight-bulbs/
  8. That would be for you to decide…if they are illegal then I would not recommend it, even if they help you see better which may make it safer to drive at night, who makes these laws??? From what I have seen a fully legal merc or bmw with factory HID blind me morethen the ones I have fitted... not sure what the problem is to make them illegal I didn't even try the 55 watt halogen to comparebut with the 35 watt kit above and 6000 k Phillips globes will give a very nicebeam that seamed to be nice and focused. I had to wind them down about 1/2 aturn. One day or night I might try the 55 watt and 100 watt halogen v's 6000 kHID and test the difference. If you got them you would need a dremel and a stepper drill bit to fit them, also i found it easier to remove the whole light from the car as the globe holders needed to be adjusted to fit the HID globe.
  9. The hid mine had when I got it were not H1, I'm unsure what they were. Was not till one of them started to flicker I deiceded to get a new hid kit. I was rather horrified when I took the old ones out, the globes were held in with tape and cut off beer cans. The H1 globe mounts were ground out to make these unknown globes fit. I ended up getting an old set of headlights and getting the globe mounts out of them and put every back to factory setup then put the new H1 kit in from there.
  10. That's interesting, lots of kits I looked at said they were not legal for road use, but the one thing those kits had in common was 7000k plus globes. I thought i was tring to keep my legal as possilbe. Was there ever a hid option for a R33 GTST SII? My r33 had hid in it when it was imported and passed for use in Australia.
  11. I got mine from delonixradar, there is a bit of info on the site you can read up on, looks like they even have a Xmas special. This is the kit I got, they work really nice, but they are a little slow to come up to full brightness which can be a problem if you don't use the duel high beam mod. http://www.delonixradar.com.au/hid-xenon/car-hid-lights/h1/dlx/35w/ Fitting was not easy but it can be done. I should have taken some pics when I did mine
  12. The board is gigabyte GA-EX58 Extreme, so may be a got some bad advice then, I was told with that board it was best to just leave the voltages at auto, this probably explains all my problems
