  1. I got Harris Engines in Osbourne Park to drill an internal feed for mine. Worked well and VCT kept in tact.
  2. I completely forgot the compression would be shit.... Nah I just have a 25 neo block laying around but can't find any neo heads so I thought I'd see if a series 2 head would work. Not really a good idea though.
  3. Hi, Does anyone know if a rb25det series 2 head fits on a RB25det neo block?
  4. Yeah it's been put on there. At this point if it's still working it's going to be all sorts of f**ked up. If I get it back I don't think I'm going to have the heart, or money, to put it back together. I don't even want to start work on another car because of these dickheads.

  6. Yeah my mates have been in a chase with it but it keeps losing them. It was on it's run in tune with low boost so it's not exactly the fastest thing on the road right now, most of us only have 4wds so it's outrunning us no matter what we try. Best thing we have going for us is that we can hit it and get it off the road in order to get the assholes. At this point in time I'd rather have a dent in it than see them hurt it and ruin all the work I've poured into it. It was last seen off Connolly Dr in Merriwa. It's movements seem to be mainly from; Wangara to Ocean Reef Rd, Lenore Dr, Caporn, Pinjar Rd, Joondalup Dr, Wanneroo Rd, Hester Ave. It's been spotted travelling these roads more than once so they're in the general area. Thanks for everyones help.
  7. The car was fitted with an immobiliser and alarm but they've got my keys. I was pulling it out of my workshop when I got out to lock the gate behind me. I left the car running like I have for the past 4 years as I'm less than 10mtrs away from it, but as soon as I had my back turned a VN or VP Commodore pulled up a dude jumped out and ran into my car. I turned around to seeing him shut the door and then they both just sped off. I wish I would have just turned it off and taken the keys out but I was letting it idle to warm up a bit and I've done this 100,000 times before and nothing has ever happened. No ones ever even slowed down. Police think they've been watching me and my car though which is why they've done it, but I mean why thrash it wouldn't you have gotten it off the road and stripped it down if you knew what was in it? Anyway here's a pic:
  8. Thanks for any help, it's appreciated. Cars been seen joyriding all weekend yet no one can catch it! Police haven't seen it yet either. I spent 2 years working on this car and just getting it right and then someone comes and just takes it, it had 80km left on it's run-in period and was booked in today (Monday) for it's full tune. Not sure if they'll strip it or burn it but I've put together a mod list in case anyone starts seeing my parts pop out; RB25/30 w. CP and SPOOL forged internals Tomei 260 degree Poncams Plazmaman Plenum Garrett 3076 w. 82 rear T3 6boost Highmount Sard 550cc Injectors TRUST oil cooler kit Greddy Frontmount with custom piping RSR 4 door exhaust Defi Link Advance Gauges (Oil, Water, Oil Pressure and Boost) Turbosmart e-boost street Vipec ECU Can't remember the brand of coilies I had on it but they were silver and blue...... haha Driftworks camber arms, tie rods etc... for front and rear Nismo 1.5way East Bear Recliners These are the main things I can think of right now. I doubt whether these guys are smart enough to sell it all or whatever but you know it's worth it to keep an eye out. Cheers

  10. Hey guys, checked all those things and everything seems fine. The light came back on yesterday and so I tested the alternator and it was only charging at 11v. So I'm going to get it replaced as it seems to be an intermittent problem with that.

Hey everyone my battery light came on last night in my R34 while I was driving around town and I got to see it for a few seconds before all of a sudden my revs just died out and my car died, then immediately came back to life. The light would then intermittently turn on and off and the car died once or twice more then it stopped, and for about an hour nothing happened, it just drove normal. After this hour it happened again when I was just about home so I parked up and have left it alone today. I tested the alternator this morning and it was charging at 13.8v and I checked my battery and that was holding 13.8v also while the car was running. Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be? Mods: RB25/30 ViPEC Plazmaman Plenum 3076 on a 6boost Highmount 50mm Turbosmart Wastegate Sard Injectors Intank 044 Battery Mounted in boot (I checked the earths and connections on this and they looked good) Any help will be appreciated.   14. I haven't got it running yet, just picked it up yesterday but I'll let you know how it goes. I was running 400bhp with my 25 Neo before with the same mods so we'll see how we go I'm just going to have to give the engineering a go and see how it pans out. I was just worried that if I took the car to the pits and they didn't like it if they could sticker or flag it themselves......... I'll PM you costs
  15. Sweet as. I've had it all built and assembled by my builder, of course..... So i guess I'll take it through and see how I go. So what do you do make an appointment at the pits and have them check it and sign off on it?
  16. I haven't had a cat on the car since the day I bought it. It has been on my to do list but you know until I got caught it probably wasn't going to happen...... May just bite the bullet and get it done. How does engineering all the work in the car go. I'm probably not gonna last long on the road as I'm running a 25/30 with highmount 3076, Intercooler, Oil Cooler, Catch Can, Plazmaman Plenum and some other stuff. Does it just cost monies and time or if I take it there asking them to have a look am I going to be asking for trouble? My exhaust is a proper exhaust by the way just super loud........
  17. Hey Guys, Just about to have the 34 back on the road and before it was super loud. So loud it annoyed me and my mates driving around me. I have 3" maybe 3.5" RSR exhaust. Straight through from a 3076. Now I should get a cat, I probably won't, but will it help reduce the noise level by much? Will a mid muffler help alot and what is a good one to get and to get it installed...... Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
  18. I run top feeds with a plazmaman. But I'm using a Neo head so I don't know if that makes a difference........
  19. Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to go see him tomorrow and let him know I don't want to do it, if he has a problem with it or won't warranty the engine I'll walk. They're really good engine builders but I think he's just taking it too extreme for what I want to do with it.
  20. Yeah what he's saying is that I'm robbing Peter to pay Paul by limiting oil to the head in order to feed the bearings down low. Now he wants to keep the head well lubricated and the bearings too.......... Which is why he's saying get another pump.. This guy builds drag engines which so far have lasted 7 - 8 years and counting so he wants this thing to last forever and wants to have everything right. But I'm not trying to run 1500hp like he is haha. I need some convincing that all this extra stuff is going to be worth it.
  21. Hi Guys, Got a question. I'm building a RB25/30 (Neo) and my builder is wanting to not run restrictors in the block and have as much oil all around as possible. Now I will be running a ASR comp sump and N1 oil pump with billet gears and thought this would be sufficient. In his eyes the pump is shit and won't flow enough oil and he wants to add an additional exterior pump, still wet sump, which I really don't think is necessary. Mainly because I don't want to spend the $$$$ where it may not be required. So my question is will the pump be sufficient to run without the recommended restrictors? He is wanting me to run near on 8 bar of pressure all the time which is huge! This car will be street driven, but will see track events through the year. Gear I am running is - CP pistons 8.5:1 (20thou over) Spool Rods ACL bearings TRUST 1.2mm Head Gasket ROSS balancer ASR Sump N1 Oil Pump N1 Water Pump Tomei Poncams Plazmaman Plenum GT35 Turbo w .82 rear Oil Cooler so and so forth Looking to run between 20 - 25psi and 450 - 500hp So what do you guys think? Is he going over the top or what do you see wrong with what he is doing, ie. not restricting oil to the head. Also restricting oil to the head, is this purely due to too much oil being present or any other reason. He seems to think that I'm sorta robbing the head to keep oil down the bottom end to save bearings, whereas I thought it was purely because you end up flooding the head. Cheers
  22. Yeah ECU is the same and the loom is a little different but still works. The only thing you have to change is the wiring going to the gearbox but if you can get a piece of the manual wiring loom for the gearbox you can simply unplug the auto one from near the fuse box and plug the manual one in and all will be good.

  24. I didn't have any issues with clearances when I installed my plazmaman. But I was running a SARD fuel rail not standard so that might be the problem then I suppose.....
