  1. Wow ! It seems everything new is old ! I remember seeing on a early Holden Commadore that was running in the ( I think ) Repco / Redex rally with a set of front dual callipers !

Then I threw a couple of rocks at the Tyrannosaurus rex that was looking funny at me and hid in the back of my cave until it wandered off !

  2. Looks very nice  . . . however I have never see an impeller corrode out over time.

If you are using the correct coolant there should be minimal or no corrosion in the engine at all !

The bearings will probably wear out before the impeller has issues.

There might be an advantage if the pump is rebuildable as was done in dinosaur days of the past !

  3. Oh those hoses under the manifold are spectacular to change !

Changed out the heater hoses on the drivers side thinking they were cactus . . but its still leaking.

Made up a bass T piece with hose barbs and soldered in a car valve extension, plumbed it into the throttle body coolant line, filled up the cooling system, put on a tyre compressor and pressurised it and . . . . found the leak !

Its the short 2 inch piece of hose that comes out of the block . . . . above the started motor . . . . so you cant get to it from above . . . soooooo . . . its out with the started motor . . . again . . . . to access it from underneath . . . . went and got a piece of 19mm ID hose that will take about 20 billion pounds of pressure cause I aint doing this again

  4. Oh Wait  . . a 30 year old car  . . . and the heater hoses on the fire wall go  . . fix em  . . . then the hoses under the manifold go  . . . fix em . . . . then the plastic pipes that go into the heater core crumble . . . wait for it . . . the starter motor packs it in . . . yep fix it too . . . annnnnnd then the alternator drops charge . . . . fix it as well ! Yep Yep that covers it . . . . Nah . . still got a split hose  . . . some where . . .

The local bottle shop has not ordering more stock for me.

Should never of stopped driving it.

    Did some one say something about a M3 . . . . .

Should never of sold my 1967 HR Holden 186S . . . all you need for that was a piece of garden hose, a flat head screw driver and a shifter to fix it
