  1. Everything listed and more was brought brand new some 20,000k's ago, got himself a bargin! Cheers guys
  2. Its hard to beat the feel of a standard gear box but the PPG is fine and works well, peace of mind if you chasing more power. I'll consider your PM but not at this stage, it cost me over 10k to rebuild it. Thanks Daz
  3. Time to move on. After a decade of ownership the time has come to let this baby go due to lack of use. Too embarrased to say how much has been spent on this car (receipts available) to get it to its current condition. This is no ordinary GTR R33 V-Spec excellent condition Mature owner who has babied this car, no standing starts, no drag racing or track work since its rebuild 20K ago Silver paint work with a gun barrel straight body Always garaged Engine painstakingly built by Nizpro's Simon Gischus New N1 block New crack shaft from Japan N1 Spec Spit fire coils Tomei valve springs Tomei cam gears Tomei sump baffle Tomei oil pump Tomei expreme manifolds Tomei dump pipes Apexi GT front pipes Full custom S/S exhaust inc mufflers N1 water pump N1 thermostat Nismo graded machine bearings, inc GTi -R 19 mm big end bearings ARP mains plus head studs Eagle H beam rods Wiseco pistons Sard 800cc injectors Walbro 300 LPH fuel pump Nismo regulator 100mm Trust intercooler Alloy radiator Alloy catch can Oil filter relocated Garrett 2860-5's Tuned to a safe 335 kw at the rears Nismo copper mix twin plate clutch N1 slave cylinder PPG series 3 1-4 gear Helical gear set Volk wheels Kumo tyres DBA 4000 roto's Ferodo pads Tein super street coilovers Power FC Nismo air flow meters AVC- R boost control Turbo timer Viper alarm with hand remote Clarion stereo with fold out TV screen Pioneer Amp Carbon fibre rear spoiler ..... plus much more Please guys I've done my nuts on this car and looked after it so well! 4. 355kw, more peace of mind for me after shredding 3rd gear, I suspect a triple plate clutch was the culprit. I now use a twin plate coppermix so ppg probably not needed in my case
  5. I had some problems with mine but was sorted out and now runs fine, do you really want to spend around 10g for a full rebuild?
  6. My dyno reading only showed up to 7200rpm , I noticed a slight drop just after 7150rpm. Got 8500rpm no problem, just pulls nice changing from 7
  7. No, it still pulls but I just dont seem to need to go much more before changing gears, with the -10s and cams it was ideal to gear down to 2nd gear at 100kph (has PPG gear set) and take it to around 8500rpm before hitting 3rd. Now at 100kph it feels better to gear down to 3rd gear were it pulls hard and smooth, less work on engine.
  8. B type poncams, this was a fresh build at a new workshop, I would love to know myself. What I did have was -10s with Poncams, Motec M800 at 25psi on Shell 100 octane for a disapointing 350awkw, soon after the engine shit it self. New setup -5s with stock cams, in went my old power FC with Nismo AFM with just over 20psi on Shell 98 for 355rwkw and so much better to drive, the engine dosn't have to run as hard to make power.
  9. I had 260 x 260 tomei cams, had the standard cams put back in, 355 rwkw with the 5s at around 7000 rpm and the car feels great to drive.
  10. It took me nearly a year from memory to get my Motec back after he reneged on buying it, dosn't look like too much has changed.
  11. My engine builder built one of the first 1,000hp Rb26 engines in Aust many years ago using a OEM head gaskit with no issues. I normally use Tomei but the builder insisted on OEM for his own reasons, 21 psi and 3 years later haven't had a problem.
  12. To put it simply, people these days have more choice and tend to break away from what was once traditional. Down the track in diffrent times they could make some sort of a come back, after all they are an Aussie icon!
  13. Like myself and many others, the OP is using two custom 3.5" mufflers on a 3.5" system. "Add in a muffler" as in mid muffler, it becomes a pain in the ass for legal hight. 4" becomes a total pain in the ass. I hope this clears things up.
  14. Pipe uses ID nominal bore measurements which is N/A for an exhaust, tube and exhaust tube is measured by the OD. 3.5" tube will be fine, 4" is a pain in the ass for ground clearance when you add in a muffler.
  15. I had the same Nizmo front pipes (sorry I sold them) with stock dumps on a stock unopened motor with a couple of turbo's, 332rwkw, Mid 11s
  16. My triple plate Exedy was far to brutal for the street and a standard gearbox, stalling all the time and it had way to much bite. I smashed 3rd gear on a low tune setting the very first time I gave it some stick, I'm now running a Nizmo coppermix and its like driving a different car.
  17. I removed my Motec M800 and all the goodies and replaced it with my old Pfc and Nizmo AFM's. The only difference I noticed was that the car started easier with the Pfc lol....
  18. I wouldn't try to justify your obvious pain on this matter to others on here, run with what you know is right. Yes you do need to have everything listed on your receipts and there is a lesson to be learnt, it may not say OS Giken but it dosn't say PAR either. I don't know what kind of a person you are but I would confront him big time! F##k court, if there's no honey, getting very nasty is the only time I've had any success on these matters. Sad but true.
  19. The unopened engine will probebly last longer that the built engine lol....The guts of them have survived over 100,000kms of abuse and are still running. You dont see to many built engine lasting that long. rObstr are you kidding? just leave it for now! Just take it to a well known tuner to sort it out as is. I think you need to cool down a bit buddy, plenty of time for that later when you learn more about these cars.
  20. For all I know the buyer of the engine could have thrashed the guts out of it. I've found in the courts that ignorance is not bliss, if you have advertised a product and its found not in the condition as advertised, with the right evidence they can make the seller accountable for it. Who knows with this one, like I said not enough info and only one side of the story. More than likely nothing will come of this.
  21. There's not a lot of information to go off here, I'm interested in what findings were made in the engine report for starters and the circumstances leading up to it. Depends, If you advetised an engine that was in a certain condition and he can provide enough evidence that it did not live up to the condition as advertised he can make a case of it.
  22. Wiseco pistons and I assume rings so nothing special, more attention on machining getting the block and bores exactly right. In short, I just spent the dosh and went to someone who had a long history in building and developing RB engines.
