  1. mate, the weather is one of 1,000,000 different reasons I wouldn't live in Vic Number 1 reason is that is full of bloody Victorians
  2. nah, you will never, ever hear me complain about summer - love it! We fly from here to Sydney, have under 2 hour stopover, then it is 13 hours and 20 minutes to LAX from Sydney. We have a 1.5 hour stopover in LAX, then a 5.5 hour flight to JFK. All up just over 20 hours flying time. I love flying - free booze, individual LCD with unlimited movies and sitcoms, free food and drink, etc etc. We leave Adelaide at 6:45am, arrive in Los Angeles 7:10am - then arrive in New York 6:02pm - all on the same day - weird!
  3. Duc - yeah good mate - I just want to hurry up and be Saturday. We leave at 6:45am for New York Sean - nah I didn't catch the start either - saw from the early finals too
  4. hey Dooky .... how are things? One of our large bushes out the front literally blew out of the ground this arvo .... damn wind!
  5. yeah the drifting on SBS was bloody awesome this arvo. The girls were pretty hot too! Great for the sport!
  6. paid and PM sent. Please advise when you receive payment, and that my instructions are clear. Thanks mate! Andrew
  7. do we have any gamers .... hahaha ..... I just finished playing a couple of hours of Battlefield 2, and now I am about to go play some Counter-Strike Yes, Q4 looks excellent!!
  8. yep it is a McLaren. We have organised our US trip oursleves. We do a couple of little tours during our trip, but most of it is set up by us. Fyi our itinerary includes New York (including seeing Lion King on broadway and going to a NY Yankees vs Boston White Socks game), Niagra Falls (on the Canadian side), Washington DC, Philli, Boston (have friends that live there), California (including Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios etc), Las Vegas (including Boulder Dam and Grand Canyon helicopter trip), San Diego (including Sea World and Hooters), Tijuana, San Francisco, Hollywood/LA, then 4 days rest in Honolulu on the way home. - I can't bloody wait!!!!!!
  9. yep, my thoughts exactly Duc. People barely look when a car alarm goes off these days. I found this nice pic (below) in my travels - thought I'd share it with you all. If anyone wants it in 1280 x 960 for their desktop let me know and I'll email the original to you.
  10. yep, will do for sure!!! I'm still acquiring bits and pieces to fit before I get it on the road - I have quite a little collection under my bed. The wheels have gone in to be repainted, and I currently have the stockies on the car (as per my sig pics) - I quite like the stockies - but my dish rims will be unreal when I get them back
  11. Looks like "The 34" won't be on the road until November at this stage. We are off to the USA in 9 days and don't get back until the end of September - so it will go in for compliance in October sometime. Can't wait!
  12. I religously start my car and run it for at least 5 minutes before I drive it every morning, so the remote start would save me walking out to the garage. And yes false alarms are a pain in the butt - but what's the alternative?! Better be over-protected than some dickwit steal your car or your stuff. Remeber, I had my car broken into within 5 minutes of me leaving it in Kensington Park - in the middle of the day. These crooks have no respect or fear whatsoever. I am soooooo close to leaving my car at Tea Tree Plaza one arvo and watching it from a distance with a few mates and a baseball bat. It is very out of control - the crooks know they hardly get punished, so keep doing it. When they can't walk or use their fingers anymore they won't be able to rip-off people's pride-and-joy.
  13. it's good to be paranoid about your car to some extent. If every single person put a good alarm with immobilisation points in their car it would cripple the stolen car racket and reduce everyones insurance premiums. This would of course be a very good thing. Especially since you have a vehicle pager system Sam and Duc - it's the only way to go imho. I am putting the same alarm as you guys in my R34 before I put it on the road. It should be the law imho.
  14. that looks tough as .... and are they polished R34GTR wheels? *drool*
  15. I don't think they have made 2 dogs for years, have they? Do you have spare stock indicators Sean? (or are they still on the car?)
  16. yeah actually that is all I need. I'll give you a ring to come pick them up. Excellent. Have you put lowered springs in your R34? Do you have the original front and side indicators in your car, or have you changed them for clear ones - as I need them too.
  17. If you want to see some more pics of "The 34" check them out Here (click)
  18. thanks Sean .... nah it isn't complied yet .... still waiting on some stock suspension to come from Abo Bob, and a few other bits and pieces. We are off to the US in a couple of weeks and don't get back until end of Sept, so the R34 is looking like being on the road around November at best. I am in no hurry and havn't sold PCOTY yet - but when I get back I'll start trying harder to sell her, then get the 34 done.
  19. there are a few black R34GTRs getting around now - I spotted another one parked at a house on Grand Junction Rd the other day (with no plates on it) - I believe it is the same one that landed the same time as my R34, and it had Pommy number plates on it when I saw it at North Haven in customs. Sad that they are becoming kind of common. I haven't seen any other black 4 door R34s yet Do you guys like the happy snaps in my sig? I took the 34 out from under my verandah yesterday and washed it for the 1st proper time.
  20. well, the short answer is yes they do (as told to me by a forum member on NissanSilvia.com who is a copper), however I have distinctive peronalised plates and have not been targeted. In fact for the extremely large amount of time I spend on the road, it is a wonder I never get pulled up. The only very few times I have been pulled over I brought it on myself and deserved it. However, I am not out cruising the hotspots Friday and Staurday nights .... that is just begging for trouble.
  21. yeah my R34 is the same - the space is too narrow by over a cm each side. I am thinking I might have to get the square style plate that has 2 rows of writing.
  22. I am going to organise a big Victor Harbour cruise when I get back from the USA in October. Someone else will have to organise it if you want to do one before then
  23. Will take some pics for you tomorrow if I remember mate. It is the silver R32 in your sig I take it? I live about 1km from PVP.
  24. SNAP Sam!!! rofl what are the odds?!
  25. QUOTE (WinK @ Aug 7 2005, 12:10 AM) Spotted in Sydney. Bayside blue R34 GTR, number plates 34VSPEC Very nice car. I think that would be Munro's old R34GTR .... awesome car!!!
