  1. A couple of photos I took in King's Park on Thursday night.
  2. I love those photos r33madd. This is a photo from a while ago when a friend of mine had a James Bond themed party. We were all taking photos of each other trying to look like 007. I thought it was a cool photo it was just a shame that there were other people in the background. I was playing around with it in paint.net and turned the contrast right up then blacked out the people in the background. I really like it now.
  3. Thanks for the tip. What would you recommend for a sharp background? Something flat (i.e a wall) or something with lines and depth like in the Buddha photo?
  4. Sorry about the re-post but after reading some of the tips in the stickied section I adjusted my photos. I think they look much better. What do you guys think?
  5. Have been playing around with the macro setting on my camera. They were taken on my wee Olympus FE-210 point and shoot job. Want to get an SLR as soon as I can afford one.
  6. Putting my hand up for Christchurch here. There seems to be f**k all happening in the south island thread so thought I'd post here instead. I'm living in Perth now. Had an MR2 GT (that's the turbo one for any one-eyed Nissan fans) back home. Hoping to get an R32 over here when I've finally got some money together.
  7. I remember when I was a kid my Granddad's favourite joke was: GD: "Do you know why Aussie beer is called xxxx"? ME: "No". GD: "Cos Aussies can't spell beer". That's the only one I can remember except for the roo jokes which are obviously just like the sheep jokes. Also I remember my dad and my uncles giving my Aussie cuzies bowling lessons every time they came over and we were playing cricket. You know bowling the ball over your shoulder not rolling it along the ground. I've been living in perth for six months now and have to say I haven't been given any shir about being a kiwi from any of the aussies i've met, (in the real world outside the internets anyway lol) still haven't found a skyline I can afford yet either but that's more to do with still having f*k all money.
  8. It wasn't a warm-up lap. On those days you do one warm-up lap early in the morning and then each time you do a run you're free to go full tilt from the blocks. That was late in the day and I'd already had plenty of uneventful outings. It doesn't look fast in the video but I was doing 100-110ish when I went off. The camera is just my we Canon handheld it was gaffa taped down to the centre console between the seats.
  9. No, I was very lucky. I didn't get a scratch. Just a bruised ego. It was an exciting ride. I was so pumped up with adrenalin afterwards. My hands were shaking like crazy.
  10. Yeah If I could get a neat clean low-Km well-serviced TLC'd undamaged R32 I would be stoked. And reasonably un-modified would be nice too. I think it's going to be a long search. Well like I said I was beggining to get a bit of track time under my belt but that all came to a rather abrupt halt. My skillls weren't anything flash, although I once got fastest MR2 at a street car day that the MR2 club went on , I was just out there to have a good time and to learn. The last track day I did was in April this year. At the start of the day my car looked like this: But by the end of the day it looked like this: To see how it happened click here.
  11. Hey Guys, My name is Scott. I've just moved to Perth from New Zealand. Back home I was driving a Turbo Toyota MR2 and have definitely been bitten by the turbo+rear wheel drive bug. I was beginning get a bit of track time under my belt at home. Once I start working here I'm hoping to get another car to use on the track but this time I thought I'd go with something with the engine in the front. So I'll eventually be looking for an R32 gts-t or gts25-t as I've always liked them but never had one. ANyway I thought I'd introduce myself as I'll probably be lurking the forums for a while doing my research before buying one. Cheers Guys.
