It dazzles me when all my mates just look at kilometers on a car to assume the health of the engine. A car with 70000km on it, sounds low. But think about it.... 700000km on the clock is alot of driving, days, months, years of being beaten, boosted, drifted, raced, you name it. Skylines have a very tough life. When you get your self into one, you should be prepared for anything that can happen. My brother got him self into rotaries.... Hit his wallet pretty bad but he seems to be doing really good with them now. You gotta be prepared. 16 - 20 year old cars man, something is bound to be worn, cracked, leaking, spun. My advice would to be find one which has recently been rebuilt or major overhaul, with receipts. Ive heard a few gtrs and gtst's with spun bearings. Not a nice sound Literally sounds like a nut has come loose in the motor and is getting flung around at low rpm.

Suspension is gone man, but ive got some tein coil overs which are on my car. I cant stand coilovers.

Update again: What the f**k, this thing is so loud. I looked at the nissan one it has rubber shit inside the lower half to dampen sound. This solid metal shit brings every sound from the gearbox all I hear is whirring now. Any way to get rid of this?

Update: Bought longer M6 bolts and it seems to do the trick. Works very nice on my garage box. Just waiting for my line to come home so I can put it on for real. Feel so nice and firm, I love it.

The fuses have two metal points on each end. Earth a test light and test both points of the fuse make sure all the dash/accessories/power window fuses work. If you've got an aftermarket stereo, there is a slim chance the wires could be melted or somethings gone wrong. Ive seen a ford laser have its wires melted together because the draw of the headunit was too much for the wiring in the car. Caused alot of electrical issues..

The thing at the end or the thing that sits above ball thing? I got it to sit further down but still the screws wont reach.

When you say you gave it a bump, where did you tap it? At the headlight or at the switch controls? That should help you narrow down the location. Ive got HID's and those things cant stand bumps.

The short shifter guide on here isn't working, the pix are down. Never the less I was trying to fit the short shifter on my old rb25 box sitting in the garage. I understand(I think) how it all goes together. Remove the circlip Remove the old shifter Remove the second circlip Unscrew the short shifter and fit the washer plastic thing above the big ball thing Put it in the hole Push it down Put the metal spacer in Put the square thing in and bolt it in place. Problem is I cant get them to go deep enough. The short shifter has alot of up down play and feels very loose. Alot of reading shows that the plastic thing at the end of the short shifter is too small. If I change this will it sit firm? Why do I have up and down movement? The screws wont reach the funny brackets provided to hold it in place. Am I missing something? Exactly what I was thinking. They look nothing like other camber arms Ive seen.... They also cost double the price of other camber arms Ive seen.... And these look home made.

Ive got a 7" screen in my dash area in my car. I see the computer they got in the R34 GTR and its quite mint. Is something like this achievable? Are there any kits which can output data via a tv out cable to input into my headunit? Damn it would be nice to make something so simple like that. I'm seriously surprised no one has thought of it. Just need a little computer I guess which reads all the sensors and displays them on-screen. I could do something using a carputer, but would be limited as I would have NO idea how to get readings from the car into a windows operating system... Check out this pic.

Why exactly cant you have an FMIC? I can understand the atmo bov but cmon. This is starting to become beyond a joke. There are plenty of standard cars out there which are louder than skylines. The amount of shut the f**k up commodores I hear these days, all drive around untouched. What is the point of all this? To create hassle and headache for us. Are the Nismo exhausts legal? Its got two really big mufflers on it and its really dead quiet, even under WOT its not really that loud. I'm gonna hang onto it just incase...What about a sealed enclosure around the intake? What about a return flow FMIC which doesnt hinder the structure of the car?

As soon as I see people with like 6 pcs for $800.00 AUD, I immediately think scam. Thats the way I go by, too many experiences in the past, none of which I have fallen for, lead me to believe this is a scam. Take my advice, try buy as a pickup or a reputable member. Lol at this guy with two posts who signed up a couple days ago "vouching" for the OP... If anything, you make the whole scenario even more fishy.

It is an atmospheric BOV, an apexi. Could the frequency of the sound from the BOV trip the sensor? I cant keep my eyes on the hand controller, I just drive and finish then check my max readings before I switch the car off. A idle rev all the way to 5000rpm gives me knock of 5, sometimes more sometimes less. Its very inconsistent.. I really dont feel it worth the money on turning a stock car I guess ill return back to stock ECU.

Ive got a relatively standard R33 GTST. Only has a cat back HKS exhaust, pod, BOV, FMIC. Stock boost yada yada. Anyway I installed a PowerFC, let it learn my car. Its got nothing but base tune. Checking knock, I see it averaging at about, well 0 when cruising around. Abit of a push it goes to about 15. If I gun it, it shoots between 40 - 80. If I hold it, I can see massive readings like 134 - 150... My engine should explode.... Should I be worried? Is it unsafe running the PFC as a full time ECU with no tune? From what Ive read it should be running like stock but more optimized...
