  1. I would like to know some of the specifics of the RB25DET Series 1 Turbo. From what I have gathered it is a T3, but I am unsure of the manufacturer. I found an eBay sale for a Garret T3 that was "for the RB25DET" that upgrades journal bearings to thrust bearings. Can anyone elaborate on the turbo or this particular upgrade? I can do a little bit of Excel work on when my turbo spools and then I can get my school to pay towards the rebuild when I apply it to the class. So I would like to jump on this opportunity to "freshen up my turbo". I addition to this I have read a lot the the ceramic compressor wheel causes some problems and was wondering if I anyone had more info on upgrading this.
  2. The car was in "limp mode'. After suffering through the idle for a while I got it onto the road and the tune leveled out. The car is running prime now.
  3. I had a boost leak that I had believed to be my intake manifold and I just completed re-installing the manifold with a new gasket. I do not seem to notice any boost leak any more however now the revs will constantly oscillate from about 1K-2.5K at idle. If I try to throttle the engine it still oscillates but at higher revs. I checked over all of the sensors and I believe everything is connected with the exception of the front knock sensor which was damaged a while ago. The only other problem is that the screw to adjust the throttle body (Q45), not the idle adjustment screw but the other screw on the front of the TB stripped out. I tried putting a washer behind it, however the engine still behaved in the same manner. Any ideas?

  5. Looking for a Dipstick tube for RB25DET and a new Grommet for the PVC valve.
  6. Im trying to wrap up an RB25 conversion and everything is failing along the way. I need... A new dipstick tube A Cam Angle Sensor Bracket A new grommet for the PCV valve I need these parts as soon as possible, this is my only car and I am in the process of trying to move... please help.
  7. I got the engine to idle smoothly now. Messing around with nailing down a few more things, hopefully it will be road worthy in a few hours. Adjusted stock cable and it works well, idles sounds about 1000-1200, need to mess around with a few more things to get it road worthy
  8. Com posted thread twice, please use this thread
  9. Sorry Thread posted twice... com issue a difference in the TPS sensor over generations of the Q45. It seems like the car revs up real quick when the Throttle is even cracked.
  10. I just got my RB25 started up in my 240sx with 3" straight pipe at 1am on Good Friday. The idle is a little rough and seems to rev up after a few seconds of idle. I didnt keep it going too long once it started revving up. My thinking is that the throttle body is wrong. I have a Q45 Throttle body and was wondering if there was a difference in the TPS sensor over generations of the Q45. It seems like the car revs up real quick when the Throttle is even cracked.
  11. never seen an r31 before pretty cool
