Changed automatic fluid today, car feels alot smoother and a little faster it took me awhile cos i took the transmission cooler off and gave a full degrease, flush and replaced all the rubber hoses. I removed the in pipe from the cooler and attached a length of hose, then turned car on and watched it spray out Fluid was horrible! When i check it every now and then with the dipstick its been a perfect pink color, but once it was out in a bucket it turned out to be a brown color (not because of the color of the bucket ) I managed to drain 4L on the dot, going to redrain again next week. Used castrol transmax z $59 per 4L :kick:

With everything else in order, so you get the most out of the turbo in its efficiency range.. probably 2835 Pro or 30xx series you should choose the best turbo for your intended/current setup, not the best turbo in general for rb25det or something like that hey peter that turbs doesnt look too bad! Ide like to see some info on its actuall performance on rb20/5 sr20 etc

ShiT!!! Does anyone know where we can get a service kit for the skylines series automatics? Surely there is somewhere that stocks them such as nissan seeing the boxes are the same as pathfinder etc I hate how there is no info/parts etc on automatic gearboxes for skylines

Ok thanks for that sk Im still a little unsure as how it vents to atmosphere if you have no pressure/suction involved? IE when you have it recirculating like my current setup, there is sucking from the turbo drawing the blow by into the catch can. If you remove the hose going to turbo and replace with a little vent to atmosphere filter, Whats sucking the blowby air out through the filter? Under revs does the blowby actually get pushed out aswell as sucked by the turbo?

Thats not what i meant, but still yes to that statement 300V is the only ester synthetic i know of, it makes 300v in a class of its own and they now have double ester technology, i read the brochure for it and ive never seen so many explained benefits from just using 300v each to his own i guess

Turbolight is nothing like the 300v series, turbolight is basically mineral oil compared to 300v I beleive 300v better suits high output turbo engines primarily because thats what it was designed for, while mobil 1 and castrol R etc are good, they're still designed for mass use in any vehicle 300v series was designed and developed especially for racing conditions Read the back of a 300v oil can after you just spent $40 for 2L and youll understand

Yeh i spose they aint so bad for the sheer hot chick and fast car appeal but im more for a good story, real acting and most of all good cars. I hate it how they just wake up and theres a brand new '10 sec' whatever ready for them to drive.. Ide rather them spend 30 mins of the movie showing the car getting put together while blending in some character story then actually getting into the action and main plot. That way we know the characters well, we've seen the work get put into the car etc not just " these are your cars for today " now race to here and get my cigar pfff
