  1. Depending what u need, a good mate of mine just finished his 4 year apprenticeship and has been making custom stainless/aluminium etc parts for alot of people Hes made full exhuasts, intercooler and any mandrel bent piping, radiator air guides, catch cans, fuel surge tanks etc for turbo/ecu ets ide wait to figure out what u really want out of the car before spending big $$ on these items You may well be happy with exhaust, interooler and boost controller. Cos after that it starts to get a little expensive Goto the QLD section to check on the cruises, there's a few coming up
  2. Yeh supras are nice I wouldnt mind one just so i could wack a big turbo on and not worry Plus they look sweet :boobies2: Also 93-96 models are a bit cheaper than equivelant model 33GTRs Have u test drove any yet?
  3. me too
  4. knore

    is this new

yeh thats by far the best looking one so far, but thats definately not what its going to look like thats way too similar to the R34
  5. most likely an overhaul of the website from the excessive number of hits theyve got lately
  6. woot! happy bday! for you and the car
  7. Seen a 32 GTR at KP maccas late last nite, and Greg/zoixy on the way back, looked like you had a good nite mate i was buggered, was out for a mates bday dunno if you saw it, but an xr8 ute wouldnt leave me alone coming off the story bridge, we had a go and he wasnt happy, almost didnt make the corner going past you, he had to lock up
  8. haha do a 'the rules of attraction' style end of the world party :jump:
  9. What the!? i dont know the people driving these cars or the tracks but on what planet has a stock gtst ever been faster or even close to a stock GTR in track battles? If they are both driven properly it should be no competition What about upgraded gtsts? eg 250rwkw gtst vs 250rwkw gtr?
  10. Yeh true that, a good condition second hand autobox is alot cheaper than a descent manual clutch why cant MV be in Brisbane
  11. lambo's and ferrari's cos u never see them anywhere Porsche GT2-3 All skylines, Especially R34 GTR and midnite purple 33 GTR, although gtst's arent such a wow factor anymore RZ supras, which are fairly rare, 9/10 MKIV supras in australia are non turbo I like some BMWs and Mercs but rarely think wow while looking at them, If it includes motorbikes, then Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 which is more of a 'wow' where did he go? :burnout: oh and any nice car with power and style driven by a nice looking female :uh-huh:
  12. one of those days :freak: no motivation
  13. Personally ide rather pay 5x more for my plugs and change them 5x less, but each to his own ive never had a single problem with iridiums once i gapped them properly, at standard gap 1.1mm they have some problems sometimes even on standard boost ive had iridiums in for about 8 months now, run 7psi during the day, and the most ive hit was 0.95bar without a single problem i had Vpower NGK in before hand and i do say the iridiums work better you can clean them with a soft cloth, but be careful of the iridium tip itself, its not as delicate as everyone thinks but u still can damage it
  14. Best way to use the skyline auto for straight line speed/rolling/sweeping corners, is to just have power on, overdrive on, and a few seconds before u want to go, take your foot off the throttle completely, wait a second or two then punch it to the floor, which drops back a gear and kicks in power. Alot of the time if youve already got the throttle down say 40% while next to someone then floor it, it will only stay in that gear and seriously disadvantage you for cicuit or hard cornering, use power and have OD off, and if need be select 2nd i wouldnt recommend excessive periods of full throttle etc with the auto unless u have recently changed the fluid and have a good transmission cooler because they do get hot
  15. you can order new studs from any nissan dealership for about $3 each i asked fulcrum if they could put them in for me, they did it for free
  16. thanks for the contribution mate :bonk: , its says unconfirmed, but with 4wd, 1000hp and 7 gears do u really doubt it that much? And where does it say 2 tonn, alot of the body is compisites yeh Koenigsegg ccr is already a well in use supercar, good to see even with a small market that other companies can design such crazy cars though Does anyone know exacly how the 4 turbos operate IE sequential etc? Im assuming they are either paired or seperately activated depending on rpm? Are all 4 the same size? obviously choosing 4 turbos sounds a little silly and over complex, so they must have had their reasons. Each is paired together, so that would mean 2 would start early in the rpm and the other 2 join in later? Or all 4 at the same time? they look like garret t28s
  17. yes i beleive bugatti/vw would have had this expressed to them by alot of people, that could be another reason its not released
  18. yeh its obviously got a big cloud of doubt hanging over it at the moment, which hopefully doesnt affect the people still designing it because it has the potential to be the best car money can buy if this car ever came to australia there would be one more professional car theif in training
  19. yeh thanks wrxhoon youd think they could put it in a better location now that i know whats involved ill just take the dump off next time
  20. well that sucks then  but it is still coming out yes? that means we wont truely know what its capable till then. Surely something with a 8.8 1/4 (unconfirmed) and 400km/h ability straight off the floor is nothing to scoff at. i didnt even know anything about bugatti until i stumbled onto this, so sorry for those who already know, i just though it mite be a valuable learning discussion talking about some of the technology in this car. i like any company who sits down and says 'right, lets design the fastest, most powerful car in the world' even if it takes them along time to do it cerbera: So your saying this car hasnt taken engine/mechanical technology to another level? What other car has everything this car has? yeh bmw might have a similar transmission, and VW mite have made a similar engine, but thats 1/100th of the feat bugatti will achieve if they finish this car properly.
  21. No worries, i just didnt want people coming saying one sentence bad things about it if the thread was, wats the faults with bugatti etc then ide be fine, but i wanted a positive thread anyways, where did you get 8.8sec from? cos thats nuts!
  22. Well i actually searched for bugattie and veyron and didnt find a single thread so i thought it was atleast new enough for people to see that hadnt seen it already, so welcome to now everyone else And how are you so confident it will 'NEVER' be sold ever, thats a pretty big statement unless you work for bugatti. Obviously engine tuning and reliability are the hardest issues to overcome with over 1000hp standard, have u read how much money and time went into the mclaren f1 engine? and how many times they couldnt get everything to work properly? No company would put this much work into a car then just scrap it. Ugly as sin? In your eyes maybe, doesnt look so bad to me. Yeh interior is pretty lame, but i wouldnt be looking at the interior with 1000hp and 4wd :drooling: I spose at the end of the day you could build a 1000hp R34 GTR for a quarter of the price, and ide rather the GTR, but this car deserves some discussion
  23. yay! finally some optimism yeh i think its intended purpose is to actually be the fastest production car available hence taking the mclaren f1 to school. theyve still got work to do by the look of it, but the hardest bits are out of the way already If it makes 1001hp on standard boost, wonder what it'l make with some higher boost, or possibly replace the 4 turbos with 2 big singles :drooling: :drooling: I can only imagine what 1000hp+ and 4wd would feel like, im assuming it would make the car strafe at full power on most turns! I wonder what this would run the quarter in? It certainly has the power, grip and transmission. No info on weight yet. whoever said the mclaren has been out for this long and does it with natural aspiration.. obviously they have an advantage because the mclaren f1 was designed many many years before, and go read about the problems they had with it during testing. Anyone who complains about this taking too long etc obviously doesnt understand what it takes to make the worlds fastest car. Bugatti obviously is still no happy with it, which is a good thing, because they want it to be perfect before it has a chance to show its muscle to the world.
