  1. Mine was in a container too.... Good idea if you dont want little stuff to go missing, be prepared for some things like scratches and parts a little different than was you originally thought, some of my stuff was different brands to that I was told and had a few niggling mechanical probs not mentioned
  2. Geeze how many people have to explain what a V6 is surely one person couldve done the job !!
  3. Hi Guys here is some info for u if you ever need to get windows done cheap, I know because I was a glorified window cleaner, read Tinter. First know that a Precut (the film cut out ready to go on the car,) only costs bout 80 bucks for a 4dr sedan Second if you can cover a book... remember school days? you can tint a window (maybe just get an expert to do the rear screen) wont cost much if you have the film Thirdly the process isnt expensive its just soapy water, shampoo actually and VERY clean glass Also just for interest sakes know that the darker the film the less the time it takes to go that lovely shade of violet and bubble like a bastard... I dont know do bastards bubble? anyway it wont last long, make sure the film you get is metalised and not a house film (yes the tint is different to automotive films and darker and this is how some shonkeys operate cheaply) the adhesive is not pressure sensitive (if you press it it sticks) so once you wind down your windows or it starts to come off it will keep coming off. Also finally if you are considering going really dark or illegal ( which is under 35% light transmission ) try driving at night with your sunnies on, its a pain in the arse when you have to wind your window down to see at an intersection it maybe better and cheaper to just get some dark seat covers believe me this works. Any way my two cents!!!
  4. Injectors? do you still have 'em and where r ya?
  5. I just recently bought one and find it a fairly expensive car to run as they are fairly juicy esp if you do a lot of Ks but on the other hand if you have access to the net a virtual skyline shopping centre is at your door so parts are no worries. insurnace is a killer but you will own a flashy sports car (the price we pay ) have you thought about a NA skyline? dont laugh but they are a hell of alot cheaper (ins and fuel) and they would be a good stepping stone for your next car (mmm R34...) in the eyes of the insurance co.
  6. Hmm another UWAer but I work there as a technical assistant (and all round gopher:D )
  7. The diff center on my 96 GTSt has a sensor mounted in the front of it and on some of the other GTSts that I have looked at there isnt one...What tha? Also, really dumb question alert.... a LSD should spin both rear wheels when off the ground and one spun by hand (shouldnt they?) or it is a free wheeler? oh yeah... are all turbo Skylines LSD
  8. Hi I would like to know what oil you guys use in your LSD diffs I have a new one and wanna know what to use... Fanks
  9. Hey Guys... Id like to know who is the OEM for Nissan R33 GTSt ECUs? I just had a sqiz at mine and it has a Tomei label on it? are Tomei original equip manufacturers? TA
  10. Its a bit scary but acetone works well as long as you are quick and only go in one direction it simply eats the dead surface away I used it on my old TR Magna indicators which were a bit yellow and they came up like new but I would suggest a bit of practice somewhere inconspicuous first!!
  11. Hi Guys I have ran the HICAS diagnostics in my R33 GTSt to see why the light stays on and it flashed 21 speed sensor not present, as I only just got this car from Japan I would say the wire has been snipped but god only knows where... it is driving me crazy that I cant find the Bstd!!! Where do people cut them and what colour are the (or is there another way to identify it). Any help would stop me from going insane :looney: Fanks
  12. must be a fault with the switch if you indicators work?
  13. Tell me about it, I actually thought there was some trick that they did without connecting it to anything but maybe Ill just have to bite the bullet and go to Nissan
  14. Does anyone know how to stop the airbag light from flashing... We had a VT commodore that did it and the dealership took two seconds to reset it and now I have a Skyline it is doing it too I have checked all the sensors, havent hit any bumps and everything is in place just the light on the dash flashing away!! Ta:)
