  4. Hi Guys, As the title says, I'm after a MAF sensor for a VQ25DET engine. Cheers, Ves
  5. Hmmm... 22448-AL615, they're the same as 350Z coils aren't they? Non genuine sets seem pretty cheap on ebay, wonder how long they would last for. Thanks Scotty, just sent you a PM.
  6. Hey guys, As the title says, I'm after the part number for a VQ25DET ignition coil and a supplier if anyone knows one? I found sound M35 coils on ebay which are 22448 AL515, but the seller wasn't sure if it was from the VQ25DD motor. Cheers, Ves
  7. Yep, you're right, they were only consult I . However I checked again and there seems to be Consult II scanners for around the $300 mark... but for an extra $100 the touch informeter would probably be a better buy, nice packaging etc. But, then again... for proper diagnostics, you can't go past the scanner. Hmm... what to do....
  8. I've seen Consult II readers on ebay for around 30 bux, but I was under the impression Consult II didn't work?? Or does a genuine Nissan Consult system actually work as opposed to china copies? What software did you run?
  9. I was just checking out some prices and that seems like a pretty sweet deal Jetwreck. Could very well be interested.... doing a bit of reading about them now.
  10. Yeah I read your post about the ebay OBD II and was hoping something had been sorted out by now Yep, only want it for engine data. Hmm looks like I may have to sell the PLX OBD II dammit!
  11. Just bought a PLX bluetooth OBD II reader (http://www.plxkiwi.com/kiwibluetooth/), however upon further reading it seems that import Nissan's do not comply with OBD II standards and will require Consult III equipment. I've also read that the Blatz and Conzult systems don't work either. I've seen some Consult III software for sale on ebay (apparently for educational purposes, who knows), which can be installed on any laptop. However my question is, would this software work with the standard ELM327 interface cable? Or would I need a special Consult III cable and hardware? From what I can see the connectors are the same, however I think the pin outs are slightly different... maybe some tweaking could see it work? What do you guys think?
  12. Yerp, discovered pretty much exactly what you wrote, about mine. Except haven't tried the hard cornering stuff. My speedo is also 10km out. Yeah the radar doesn't work too well when there's too much water spray following other cars, hence why it's designed to disengage if you set the wipers on anything else other than intermittent. I also get the same random blip of the brakes here and there (pretty rare though). As you said, would be nice if it could be set over 110km/h! Also, depending on the vehicle shape and height, sometimes it won't detect the car until much closer than set... doesn't happen often, but still need to be on your toes. I haven't had it brake hard enough for the ABS to kick in, but I have a feeling once it got real close it would finally get a better radar bounce back and stop in time... just not game to test it lol.
  13. Yep still in the progress of getting the turbo replaced... been a bit of a headache. It's at Dalton automotive now and the turbo is off ready to be sent to GCG for a rebuild. The dealership gave me a new warranty which covers up to $3000 for parts and labour on the turbo, however it says it only covers bearings and impeller! So I'm not sure if it'll even cover labour now, considering it's only the turbine which has been snapped off at the shaft. The warranty company wants a full report written up from GCG about what's wrong with the turbo before they shell out any money... so it's a bit iffy. However I rang up the Nagoya motors again and asked them to cover any costs which aren't covered in insurance and they've agreed so far... So it's going to be an interesting week.
  14. Hey guys, as some of you may know I've recently joined the M35 blown turbo club (not very exclusive these days). Anyways, I'm trying to find out as much information as possible on removing the turbo to aid the mechanic working on it, so I can have my car back with the least amount of hassle. I've seen a thread where one the whole sub frame was dropped, is this really neccessary? Others have said it's possible to remove the turbo without dropping the engine, and some have said it can almost be done except for one bolt. Is there a definitive answer for the best way to remove the turbo?
  15. Yeah I was checking out your runner spacer iamhe77, looks like a pretty good idea! So obviously this boost behavior is normal for the M35 Stageas? I think I'll definitely go the boost controller as well, because mapping against injector duty cycle seems to make way more sense and should give a nice linear feeling and of course the added bonus of quicker spool up times.
  16. YES! I just bought one recently and found the exact same thing! Around 100km/h, push the pedal down about 5mm, nothing, then slightly more and she comes on boost real strong and not in a linear fashion. Feels like all 10psi of boost just comes at you. I've driven other turbo cars and haven't found it to be like that... however they didn't have ball bearing ceramic turbo's which may explain it. It could probably be fixed If the wastegate opening was mapped against injector duty cycle as opposed to boost pressure, resulting in some extra fuel economy. What do you guys reckon?
  17. lol, I was actually referring to the snow tyres turning to mush and flying apart. Thank god the turbo didn't blow until after I got home! It's like a turtle now...
  18. Luckily it was raining on the massive drive home from Sydney. Prob wouldn't have made it home if it was a hot day at 110km/h...
  19. Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping the hum would be something simple as tyres so that's good news. The car is at the mechanics getting a quote today and a full road worthy check.
  20. Awesome, I'll PM him.

    My Stagea

I'm a RWD fiend myself... but after driving a couple of Attesa 4WDs, I gotta say I quite like it! I was surprised at how neutral it felt with a slight bias to oversteer and if you really wanted to, let it hang right out. At first I wanted a RWD stag, but I'm totally sold on the Attesa setup now. But looks like it will be quite an effort getting it converted
