  1. I know for the r32 all ya gotta do is pull your awd fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Seeral of us here in canada put in a toggle switch to this fuse so we can remotely activate/ describe out awd
  2. Ahaha not a scratch on the ford. I guess that's what you get for trying to pass on a double solid like a douche
  3. That seems almost as cool as me putting a body kit on my pedal bike with a pop can stuck in the rear tire. To me it's a shame that soo much hard Well thought out work went into such a lowly car/platform.
  4. There are gps enabled detectors which will cancel put false signals such as automatic doors. As for which signals they pick up it depends on which detector you get. Mine covers all current signals and came with a gaurentee that when new laser or radar bands come out I can give it to the manufacturer and they will install another sensors or reprogram the current ones to adapt and detect the new bands. The gps ones also come with an option to input red light and traffic cam locations. If all you want it for is because you don't want to slip over the speed limit can't you get a gps that has speed limits on all roads programmed into it? Yet again I'm from Canada but I'm sure you guys have gps units with such capabilities because they have been out up here since like 2001 with warning signals for when you pass the speed limit. We only use our radar detectors when we plan on breaking the law
  5. Gtr all the way. But unfortunatly when I looked into the cars in tokyo drift for the racing scenes they did use the v8 mustang engine because the rb26 just didn't have the low end needed. Looked good for the movie though
  6. In my province in Canada shokongly enough I am legally allowed to install a radar/laser jammer which scrambles cops speed detectors. Unortubatly they cost around $2000 cad and are illigal in most other provinces and the USA but they work great. I have a belltronics 9500i blue and it works great but you must remember they only work if someone ahead of you is currently getting laser/checked. If your driving by yourself on an open road it won't detect the cop until he scans your speed
  7. I feel just terrible for you guys in australia. Here in Canada were allowed to pretty much do whatever we want to our cars and have no hassel other than our initial out of country/ province and insurance inspections. Only thing we may eventually get tagged with is if our exhaust is too loud or if cops catch you using nos on the street. Sorry I know this is off topic but do your skylines have to be a certain age before you can bring them into the country?
  8. well im from canada and i understand you guys in aus have stricter driving/vehicle compliance rules down there so my comment may not really apply but up here if your going to get a skyline there is absolutly no reason to get a n/a one seeing as how the price difference for importing one is almost non existant. there is no reason or us to import a n/a because you no longer have the perormance factor. might as well buy a comparable gutless 2L domestic vehicle which has the steeringwheel on the proper side for our roads (we drive left hand drive) for less money and substancially cheaper/more available parts. up here if you have n/a you get looked down upon because it just doesnt make sense. i understand my comment may not apply because of p platers i believe there called(learners licence holders???) who cannot drive modiied/turbo'd cars?
  9. I belive if it's not on while the vehicle is on it's not an active code so it might be tuff to track down why it started turning itself on. So it's only on when your key is in the on position with the car off? Is your all wheel steer locked out?
  10. Since it's an aftermarket add on it can vary but mine is in my trunk. It's just a little box probably 1cm by 1cm. Did your light stay on after you turned your car off then on again? If it turned off I probably would even bother with it. Mine turned on after a few drifted turns or if I had parked on a steep incline.
  11. Hicas is your all wheel steer system. It may flicker because you have low steering oil or if you have it electrically locked out your wires or blocker may have become loose
  12. Being an absolute retard when I was changing out my suspension on my r32 I kept thinking to myself man I should really put in some wheel chocks. Kept thinking that til I was almost done and car slipped off the Jack. Luckily the Jack caught the car as it fell over sideways so I only lost a sideskirt
  13. My only thing with that is that the car ran phenominal before i began playing witht he boost controller trying to raise my boost. Now according to my gauges i keep hitting 20psi when i have a limiter set at 16. The controlelr is hooked directly to the ecu adjusting the parameters. Im going to order a chip off ebay to try and reset my parameters or just go for a new ecu alltogether. Ill elt you guys know how it goes
  14. sorry my terminology is a bit shaky. By air programmer i mean i have a controller that electronically decided when it should feed the turbo extra air directly through the turbo intake housing skipping the filter entirely( obviously keep it completely shut off under dusty or wet conditions. Turbo programmer i meant electronic boost controller. My power commander adjusts my fuel pressure/supply to corralate with increased boost pressure. The blow off valve doesnt open until it hits just over 20psi and then it just modulates to keep it at 20psi. The car runs great when when i shift before 4000psi. Has anyone heard of such an ecm lock that would no longer allow the electronic boost controller to limit boost?
  15. so i may have a similar problem. I have a 1990 gtst with a couple upgrades (greddy profec bspec 2 turbo programmer, apexi air controller/power commander, turbokentiks turbo, intercooler and full 3in exhaust). I had the same problem of my turbo spiking from 14psi-20ish with my engine rpms being governed out at about 5000 because of my blow off valve releasing my pressure. I went to a jdm shop and the guy told me that even though i had an upgraded turbo, turbo programmer, air programmer and power commander since i set my turbo programmer over 12 psi and i dont have my ecu chipped it locked it self at the 20psi it was set at once upon a time. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this happening? he said my only options were taking a chance with him plugging in another ecu and removing the battery cable while the car is running then plugging mine back in hoping it will continue at the settings of his or i can buy a new ecu then drive it to Calgary(300km away) to get it dyno tuned which in all would set me back about $1200cnd. Anybody know if i have any other options?
