  1. No probs wid the 25 box, its just a bit revvy in 5th gear on long distance and even on the freeway. Just wanted a better ratio for longer drives and when cruising the freeway
  2. Just a quick technical query. Just changed out the battery in my boot and since then my tacho has started wigging out. Sometimes it reads correct and then other times it reads erractically like a two bob watch bought in Bali............. ..............goes off like a seismograph after a nuclear bomb. .............anyway was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and if so what was the remedy or if anyone has an answer to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated and stop me from blinking so much and having an epileptic fit when im like doing 3000 - 7000 rpm whilst idling at a red light!! Cheers
  3. Anyone know of a 6 speed manual conversion for the Skyline?? Was thinkn of ditching the 5 speed for a 6, has anyone or does anyone know of a conversion kit or somebody that can supply the complete 6 speed gearbox to change out? Don't know if there is such a thing or if there is a box that I can adapt to suit. Comments welcome.....................................
  4. YEA BOI! Finally got the yellow off the Skyline, can't believe how happy I am, woo hoo It felt like eternity until the time I could dive the beast legally on the road again............................................ Anyway its great to have a V8 in the stable but a turbo six shooter is just as much fun and goes just as good as the Chev. Back on the road fellow Skyliners, so b safe and see you all out there
  5. yeah they were imported with the car from Japan, they are Toyo Trampio Vimode 255/40ZR17's gonna put on the new Toyo Proxes 4's, that'll solve the problem...... sweet, cheers. I have located the breather and the vent hole. the battery is as safe as Fort Knox, however the pits said they still want the battery vented to atmosphere via the breather, will look at a gel filled battery to get around this problem. yeah gonna take the Hybrid fmic out and put the rock stock baby back in. do u know where i can get a bolt on kit for the bumper support bracket? If not i spose I'll hav to track down a wreck n do a bit of cut n shut?? 1. i've got Tein coil overs so adjusting is no biggy 2. They are Toyo Trampio Vimode - came from Japan with the car - their road rules don't inforce tyre load ratings 3. The Hybrid fmic came with the car I didnt fit it, so I must rectify as stated 4. Gel filled battery will suffice and resolve this issue I know its a pain in the ass, however I dont hoon or drive dangerously and only take the car out rarely. I wasnt doing anything wrong on the day but I have to do as i have to do to keep it legal and on the road.................... Roll on buddy................. The rims are Enkeii raceline. Tyres are Toyo 245fr and 255rear. Thanks for the positive reply, most guys have just said sucked in, thought I'd get a better reception being a Skyline owner and joining this forum. But I spose what you expect and what you get are 2 different things hey. Safe drifting buddy L8Rz damn strait, Im hearing you buddy.......................
  6. Can someone cast some light as to why cops in Perth have nothing better to do than pull over performance cars for the most piss weak reasons and continually harass the drivers of these cars for no apparent reason as well. Long story short, was driving along in East Vic Park doing the speed limit and what do you know, a marked car goes past and instantly turns around to pull me over. Their excuse - my window tint was too dark, what a load of f**king bullshit!! As I don't have to say anymore, they stickered my car. I took it over the pits at Welshpool and as I expected they picked the shit out of it. Just some of the faults they reckon are - 1. Too low - need 100mm clearance, which it has but the exhaust can is a little lower by 15mm WTF? 2. No load rating stamped on the 255's on the rear 3. Front mount Intercooler installed and as a result I had to remove the front bumper support. The intercooler is like a structural member and much stronger than the piss weak piece of flat steel that it replaced. 4. No battery box for ventilation If anyone knows of a mod or a bracket I can fit so I can keep my front mount Hybrid Intercooler would be great. Ok enough whinging If it has Tyres or Tits Its gotta be FUN!!!
