    A helmet, long sleeve clothing and it is reccomended a 1KG mounted fire extinguisher (But not Mandatory).

    You can bring and have a passenger in the car but they need to comply to the same safety and clothing as driver.

    This year our annual membership renewal day will be held at Lane88 Auto Museum along with a show n shine and our AGM (Annual general Meeting).
    SAU VIC will be putting on burgers and sides by Booma's BBQ for members + partners & kids free of charge.

    SAU Victoria Annual General Meeting

    The 2024 SAU Vic elections will be held via Annual General Meeting at the Members & renewal day on the 26th March 2022
    At this meeting, the new Committee for 2024 will be elected the annual report and financial position of the club will be presented.

    All Committee positions are up for voting and nomination.
    However it will only be the Executive Committee who gets voted in on the night of the AGM.
    The Executive committee will then pick the general committee as they see fit from the members who are nominated here.
    Nominations can only be made by financial members of SAU-Vic. (Skylines Australia Victoria
    If you would like to be involved on the Committee, please nominate yourself. If you think someone else would be great in a Committee role - please nominate them.
    For a nomination to be valid it must be seconded by a current Club Member and the person must accept the nomination.
    Don't be scared - this is a great way to get more involved with your club. The Committee is currently structured as such:
     

    Executive Committee roles:
    President
    Vice President
    Secretary
    Treasurer


    General Committee roles:
    Social Events
    Motorsport Events
    Graphics and Digital promotion
    Again, this is a great way to be a part of your club. All current financial members are eligible.
    All committee members have to stand down and be re-nominated and re-elected - so everyone has the ability to be involved.
    Please post any queries or nominations in this thread.

    Role Descriptions

    Executive Committee roles:

    President
    This is the clubs leader. This person is responsible for the clubs "public" face appearance.
    Their responsibility is to ensure the club is heading and following the direction that the members want.
    They should also show good leadership examples to other committee members and delegate tasks to the general committee.
    The President should endeavor to run all of the monthly general meetings.

    Vice President
    This is the clubs second in command role. This person is responsible for day to day running of the various "departments" of the club.
    They act as a fill in for when the President is absent from meeting, events and other appearances.
    They also cover any absences for any decision-making requirements and processes.

    Secretary
    Responsible for all club mail, notices, memberships, member inquiries, member questions and bulletins.
    The secretary should also track our various club affiliation agreements (insurance etc) and ensure all of the club information is up to date and correct.
    The secretary should also handle all memberships add/changes/deletes

    Treasurer
    The treasurer is responsible for the clubs trading funds and bankroll.
    It is their responsibility to ensure funds for events, purchases, stock, merchandise, deposits etc is handled correctly.
    All money transfers, transactions, purchases need to be logged and recorded for our regular balance checks and yearly reviews.
    This person has direct access to the SAU bank account and financial data.
    This person is called upon also when cross planning events and new ideas to ensure adequate funds and capacity is available.
    As we are non profit car club this role is very important and all steps must be taken to protect the clubs money.

     

  3. Ok here is my conundrum,

    I got a 7670 IWG .92 T4 off an EVO, I am tossing up weather or not to keep the T4 split housing which means a spacer plate with small studs (like rb26 t2 size studs) or pony up for a T3 open as it looks like their will be plenty of clearence.

    I have seen a couple of RB30 single cams with good response an number on relativly low boost but yet to finalise the solution for my rb25.

  5. Sorry work has consumed my life for the past few weeks.
     
    Thanks to everyone for attending, I hope you all had some fun and it's good to see the competitive nature coming back. 
    We are investigating an official timing system so we can possibly streamline this a lot more as we plan to ramp up to a 3 or 4 round championship now we have multiple good venues in Victoria to use for next year.
     
    We have emailed out links to the high res pictures and videos for your personal use along with the detailed results sheet.
     
    Our next event is in September @PranK

  7. Thank you to everyone who attended today. Thank you to Simon for his help over the past few years as vice president and thanks to Anna to stepping up and taking his role.

    Commitee for 2023 is largly unchanged.

    We are back at Sandown with the WRX club for a trackday with come and try for first timers.

    The WRX Club would like to invite you to our Sandown track day, Club Motorsport Round and Come & Try and round 3 of the Victorian Super Sprint Championship on the 22nd October 2022. You don't have to be in a WRX to enter all cars are welcome. 

    There is a lot to get through, but all of the information is important and being familiar with it will make your day enjoyable and as safe as possible. If you have any questions, please let us know via email. [email protected] or [email protected]

    You Must:

    1.  Be a member of a car club affiliated  with Motorsport Australia. Evidence must be produced at Sign In. You can also enter as Come & Try if you are not in a car club. eg Skyline Australia Victoria

    2.  Have a current Motorsport Australia SPEED License. You can also enter as Come & Try if you don't have a Motorsport Australia License.                     Learn more >>> SPEED LICENCE INTRODUCTION . 

    3. Check your vehicle and apparel meet the event requirements by reading the supp regs .  Yes, you need a helmet, must be an approved Australian Standard road use. Long pants, long sleeves, socks (natural fibres cotton or wool ), and closed shoes recommend leather.

    4. All drivers will be sent out a digital self-scrutiny form which can be electronically signed and returned prior to the event.

    5. Have a fire extinguisher fitted within easy reach of the driver.

    First Time Drivers & Come & Try:
    Any driver that enters as Come & Try or is participating at their first track day will be placed in the Come & Try group.
    No passengers are allowed with a Come & Try driver
    Instructors approved by the club at drivers sign in will be permitted 
    Come & Try license fee is inc in entry
    Scrutineering\Auditing:
    All drivers MUST inspect their vehicle and all safety equipment prior to the event ensuring it meets or exceeds the current Motorsport Australia manual and Supp Regs. Safety is our number one priority.

    Our supportive officials have put together a helpful guide below for checking over your vehicle and the common items picked up during auditing so take the time to have a read and check your vehicle.

    Common Faults Speed Events Guide

    Be respectful to officials conducting auditing.  Your safety and that of others is their only concern.

    Officials will be randomly selecting cars before 9am to be audited. They will be checking vehicles and safety equipment. 
    During the day, officials will be roaming around auditing vehicles.

    *** Important Note ***

    If your vehicle or apparel is deemed to be unsafe or non-compliant you may not be allowed to go on track. Refunds or credits will not be given in these circumstances.

    There will be no food available at the venue. So BYO breakfast, lunch and snacks.

    SMS Brendan at Sandown on 0403189352 to book a garage. Payment is made on the day Brendan will come around to collect cash, cost is around $80.
