ive decided the best way to keep the rims but have them look good is to get them power coated, pretty cheap for $88 each rim! im now just hoping that the place have metalic power coating colours so i can get an awesome purple colour :-)

so i took my car into pedders, seems all the other tyre shops had no idea what to do about my tyre problem but pedders were freaking awesome. turns out my bushes were stuffed in the front and rear. they done a proper wheel alignment and i got a camber kit to remove the camber. luckily it had nothing to do with my 19" because i really didnt want to sell them. but the shit part is that my inner wheels had scrubbed so much that they couldnt even flip them on the rim so i could keep using them........... so yet another $1000... but luckily ive still got my stock rims to chuck on until i can get the tyres and im also looking into getting my rims power coated purple and black! pretty sweet for anyone wanting awesome looking rims, and really cheap! $88 per rim! cheers for all ya help

hey guys! so im not really sure what the hell is going on with my wheels at the moment, i have an R34 with crappy Koya 19" rims, ps. dont buy koya! the tyre people i have gone to have said that the camber is as the way off but they still wear only on the insides, which is becoming a problem when im going through tires ever 6-12 months! i have been told that i need coil overs to fix the problem. does anyone have the same problem and if so how do i fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!! will it just do it constantly because ive got 19" rims? they also make a lot of noise comparing them to the 17" stock rims. PLEASE HELP ASAP!

thanks for the advice, the chrome inserts come off, so i will be taking off all the nuts as well. you make a good point thought about the black chipping away, do you think if enough clear coat was applied it would happen less, because i am thinking the black would look so mean on my dark purple/blue r34.... what do use think of my photoshopped idea with my rims painted black with the chrome inserts? not sure what basic alloy would look like...

thanks charles and alex, very handy information! but yer i think it sounds like a little to much work! for $400 i can get the polished alloy parts any colour i want, im thinking black or a normal alloy colour, gonna photoshop a few ideas to see what it would look like. it is a shame though that anyone would even have to think about any of this stuff.... really they shouldnt do it to begin with after spending a heap of money on them.... guess i know for next time, just a warning to anyone buying polished alloy rims........ DONT! haha

oh really, after stripping off the clear coat could i then get someone to re spray a new layer of clear coat? I still cant believe i even have to do this, there was no reason for it to do it in the first place.... waist of some nice looking rims i say! a mate of mine has had the same issue with his, but it was ALL over his rims that had been sitting doing nothing for a few years i think. he actually tried a few different strengths of sand paper, it did the trick, but i would be worried that it would look a little funny in the end, doesnt have that nice finish on it. I live in Townsville, they dont seem to have any sand blasting machines, at one stage i was thinking of getting them chrome dipped, but no surprise again no one here does that.... what would be a good paint stripper to use?

hey guys, so im having a massive drama with my koya Endless machine faced rims i got a few years ago, literally just after the warranty ran out i found that...... after storing them for about 6 months they formed little off white squiggly lines all over the polished alloy parts of the rims. I have spoken to a rim doctor and they explained that the clear coat has eroded. basically there is no way of fixing it short of getting it painted a different colour... which sucks after paying $350 each! FYI NEVER buy koya rims people!!!!!!!!!!!! I also spoke to a mechanic and he thought using auto sol (aluminium polish) would do the trick, didnt even make a difference although he was pretty certain it would work! im not sure if its because its polished.... so if any of use have any idea what i could try before getting them painted a boring colour... i would much appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha tell that to my bf!!!!! it was very easy for me...... didnt even have to sit there and watch while he did it. i do like when i get things done for me lol woot woot

we have a fixed car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so in the end my bf replaced the coils with the yellowjackets and the spark plugs with some champion gold platinums that i scored for like $3.50 each at repco on a clearance woot woot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was soooooooooooooo weird driving it for the first time, seriously felt like my ass was about to hit the floor..... remembering that i have been driving a Hyundi Sante Fe for the past week. almost went bad when i took it for a drive at night and a possum family came running out in front of my car which im sooooooo happy to say they all survived!!!!!! loved beating every bastard on the road...... not that i could beat them all being a non turbo lol but i tried happy to say that my ignition indicator light has turned off so im hoping not to see it for a very long time!!!!!! now ive just gotta save up $500 so i can put my 19inches back on!!!!! thanks dudes so much for helping me along this. seriously wouldnt have been able to do ANY of it without use!!!!!!!!!!!!!

more bad news guys!!!! mine is the neo motor and it seems a lot different than what use have given me but thanks a bunch for helping me out. think i wil just have to bite the bullet and go to my mechanic. i asked him today how much it would cost and he said about $80 which is pretty good. would have liked to pay nothing though lol if use knew where i could find the neo version of what use found that would be great but otherwise i dont think i have any other choice lol

has just ran into a big problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my bf told me he knew how to put in the coil pack but now after looking at it he has no idea!!!!!! do any of use know where i could get some kind of step by step instructions????????????? i have had a look on the forums but nothing for what i need. biggest problem being until i find instructions i cant drive my baby. so whoever can help me out i will love you forever lol <-- thats just awesome

lol well their website seems pretty good. it shows the colour of the spark compared to another and it is super bright. i think i payed $400 plus $20 postage. they are based in NSW and they said it would take 3 days so i cant wait because i wont drive my car until they come! ..... so shame having to drive my dads falcon!!!!!! so ugly. yellowjacks should be fine. im only planning on having my car for another 4-5 years before family come into the picture so at least it wont be my problem if they do go again.

my car absolutely sharted itself today!!!!!!!!!!! i had just started my car and seriously the whole thing was shaking! sounded like i had a massive turbo but sadly no my bf says my coils must have completely died...... not something i wanted to hear. t'ville is a bitch to get coils but i ended up getting a 6pk online. i went for yellowjacket cause they seemed pretty good. sorry i couldnt go for the splitfire ones dudes lol really would have liked to but im only part time and since it was spire the moment i just got what was there. hopefully that fixes the ignition light in my car. so sick of the reminder!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shall keep u posted
