Bronx replied to Simon-S14's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
very nice rims you picked up there,17" too!!! still saving up the rest of cash to get mine rebuilt, looking at 17x10 and 17x13, ill see how that will work.... on a stagea -
saw a guy in the city wearing one on saturday i think, talking about Skylines...... and then there was me standing next to him at the lights in market city with my awesome Mario hat
-
spotted 2 stageas today, one silver one at kingsgrove high school (sydney) and the other one was a black r34 fronted stagea and the gentleman driving it kindly sold me his side skirts

Anyone????

99% of the time, a stock car will be worth more than a tuned car, unless you look at something expensive to begin with. like porsche or mercedes etc, but a mildly tuned r33 with a greddy intercooler and some rays rims will lose money for the seller. mods dont mean you will get lots more $$ for your car.

Injectors, turbo, clutch, a good and clean engine, might want some cams too, and most of all, a tuneable ECU!!!!

you will love the gtx570, it runs crysis 2 maxxed out.. and its sooooo quiet even under load, i cannot hear it even over my watercooling setup buy the most powerful clamps and the best hoses for watercooling, and if your lucky enough to have a BTX case you have nothing to worry about. besides relocating your PSU
-
spotteded silver m35 parked in rockdale with weird looking rims....
-
i got windshields, and they do make it a bit more quiet, only reason for it is because we have the "glass only doors", where as most other cars have an entire door with glass frame, which actually keeps it more airtight, my rubber is a bit squashed and once i adjusted my window, it has a 1mm gap in between window and rubber seal and damn the noise is quite irritating on really long trips. just make sure your window seals up nicely with the rubber. also a nice fix for all your rust problems, the best fix EVER, zinc plate your main rust spots after getting them fixed. thats why AUDI is the most Rustproof car manufacturer out there. just to let you all know, thats how i get all my major rust spots fixed

thats some impressive power, the bottom end is still stock right???? KW figure is very impressive, but i was expecting a heap more torque, thought you would hit the 750-800nm of torque. however, what clutch are you running??? also have you modded/rebuilt the gearbox in any way??? -
liquid cooling is only good for 2 things, overclocking and showing off, and i do both

this set is good: http://www.iibuy.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30813_2428_2432&products_id=88476 and also: http://www.iibuy.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30813_2428_2432&products_id=75416 the alphacool is a very very quet kit, the pump is a a in tank pump, so you will barely hear it, but its very hard to get support from alphacool. my advice is get the Swiftech one, its a lot better, but pump can be a bit more louder. i have the same pump, it is still more quiet than my air cooler, but i can still just hear my PC. i run a alphacool radiator, and reservoir, a heatkiller 3.0 cpu cooler, and the swiftech pump. got my cpu OC to 4ghz on 1.32 volt (i5 870) and i hit a max temp of 68dC on a normal day, 25-30dC. but i do admit my radiator is the weakest one, i only have 2 fans and a double rad. one last thing to consider: you will need to be very nifty at fitting it all in your case, water cooling is not for the faint hearted. buy a proper kit or dont buy one at all. alot of modding was included in my pc case. also if your ever interested, check this out: Frozen Q Liquid Fusion i will buy one in the near future when i have the cash to waste
-
dont get simple water cooling, EVER, buy a complete proper kit. ive had a little kit on mine, which cost me 120bucks, and my temps went up 5 degrees............. plus you cant O/C for shits on those things. buy a good silent fan cooler, pref one with 6-9 heat pipes and a nice 120mm fan. wont ever hear it. and yes, you can adjust all the settings via the config, but it will make the game A LOT harder to run. thats the main reason why the game runs soo smoothly, its pretty dimmed down even on the highest mode. if you use one of the lower settings, it will change it to dx9 to run even smoother.

wasnt the original front from a stagea a r33 front??? i dont quite remember, but im quite sure it should fit either being a r33 or r34 with or without minor modifications. or just get one custom made by a some sheet metal company, should only set you back 50-100 bucks at absolute max

game is great fun, and def has the best GFX out of any game available to date.... eye candy galore

hey all, im after side skirts and front bumper for my stagea, at the moment i have a weird dolphin looking kit on mine which i would like to dispose of. so im looking for a set of skirts and a front bar, can have scratches/dents etc. if anyone has anyhting spare, please let me know. im located in sydney, so around here is preferable, but if good offers and postage isnt through the roof, i might consider it from out of state Jean
