  1. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/370504-1991-r32-gtr-sniper-mint-condition/page__p__5905955__hl__mint__fromsearch__1#entry5905955 Looks like its one of the better ones out there. Interesting that your advertising it for I assume more than you bough it for. Good luck with the sale.
  2. Still not sure why people mod the likes of R1's. There are probably only a small handful of people in Australia that can extract anything like them on the race track. Anyone even trying to approach limits in the street are crazy. And as far as opening it up in a straight line... man... last time I rode an r1 and tried to get it off the line it was more a challange of keeping the print wheel anywhere near the ground. Anyway, sweet bike. I always loved the yellow Kenny Roberts theme that yamaha released. My fav R1 of all time. I'm sure it will find a good home.
  3. Tell us more about the dildo gear shifter. :-) Looks like a good buy for someone.
  4. Got to love your determination Chris. No airfilter and no exhaust disconnected. Sweet man. I bet that would have been a treat. Id try wacking a sign on the window 500 bucks drive away and a local might take it. Good luck my friend.
  5. Thanks. Have just done. 17" BBS wheels as well?..
  6. Whats the difference between a normal GTR and a V spec? I thought the 2 big differences was the upgraded brakes, and the sticker?
  7. Good luck with the rebuild. Id be keen to know how much it ends up costing you.
  8. Dato its about supply and demand. I am in the market for a GTR32 and have been keeping a close eye on cars for a while including looking at a good handfull and following owners up moths later and then seeing what they finally do sell for (if they sell). Many cars advertised here are also advertised on carsales and guess what? They still havnt sold! Supply is through the roof and demand is at an all time low. Im sure my old mate GreenGTR (who probbaly paid top $ a few years ago) would disagree but the facts are the market for a 20 year old supercar that is in abundance is much lower then what people who are selling what to believe. Once again I wish Jet good luck with his sale.
  9. Its only worth what people will pay for it.. You pay 12 for it and its worth 12. Good luck to the seller. I hope he gets top $.
  10. Running 89 GTR32 went for 13 something grand in Vic with no dents (see Chan post early this week). There are several really nice ones with rubuilt motos going for under 20 and lots of good running ones for 15 and shitters advertised from 12 (probably means they would sell for 9) A later model V spec with spun bearing (think maybe 94 model??) no dents perfect nick was advertised for ages before it sold I think in NSW he had 12 on it and probably took alot less. Its a buyers market at the moment (look how many are for sale and how long they have been there for) and as it would cost someone at least 6K to get a running import motor (with unknown history) put in it and the market value for a running one is 10-13 you do the maths.
  11. Supply and demand. 20 year old car. Average 10 up for sale every week and less buyers than that. Still this one looks like a good deal. Like to know if theres rust in it as its a coast car.
  12. http://www.piarc.com.au/?item=14840 PHillip island local club website http://www.piarc.com.au/?page=calendar Calender. Next track day (familirisation no timing but more track time I think and a bit more relaxed) 21/8/10 http://www.piarc.com.au/files/August%202010%20Sprint.pdf Form to fill out and send in Get the rest on the day (Cams licence and club licence) I dont know if SUA club is a CAMS affiliated or what ever it has to be you might not need to join there club ($60 isnt going to kill you).
  13. $150 CAMS licence (for a year, buy now and you get the full finantial year) $60 for a club membership (like PIARCS) $150 for a track familirisation day. after you pay your CAMS and membership the next time you want to go is only the day fee ($150). Do it! All these people driving around in fast cars on the street is a joke. I though I had half an idea how to drive but quickly found my date pucker as though someone had a red hot poker touching me inappropriatly when the ass of my Subie stepped sideways at the end of the straight.! Turn one will change your life! You should get 5-6 20 minute sessions which is more thn enough. You will be put in a group to match your speed. Everything from old Corollas and Hondas to new GT2/3 are there so dont be affraid. I fit right in with my stock 92 RS liberty with 360,000 on the clock that I drive daily and cost me $3500. At the end of the day I was lapping at 2min 9sec as opposed to (Im guessing 2.20 at the start of the day) Instructors (race drivers that know how to drive) there that are happy to hop in as passanger or drive your car to show you the lines (no they wont flog your car). Best $300 I ever spent in my motoring carear.
