Need Help With Fault Code For R34Gtv
slinky-minky replied to slinky-minky's topic in Naturally Aspirated Performance
It had a slight miss in drive ~ 2 weeks before this happened, was idling at 700-900rpm, I didn't think much of it, ran injector cleaner, new batch of premium and disconnected battery, all was sweet. When I was told coil, it connected the dots. Others on SAU have suggested u cant really test coils, whats your take on that? -
Hi guys! I have a problem with my r34 gt-v (non turbo 2000 model)where the orange engine light comes on and stays on after 4 mins of driving(now it comes on after a minute) a mechanic got the fault code which is 21- “ignition signal primary” after taking $44 from me he told me it was a coil pack and the next day took em apart and tested them and said they were fine and charged me another $120!!! (labour) done some of my own research and some ideas of what it could be is: COIL PACK, IGNITER UNIT/switch..... although i think the igniter units are on the coil packs in the r34’s. so..... what would u guys do from here? How much for new coilpacks? Spitfires? Pay another mechanic to test more competently? If so who? Keep driving it until the problem is easier to find? Will this do “Warning damage to the manifold!” lol i mean engine. Thanx in advanceJ! Slinky

slinky-minky replied to slinky-minky's topic in Victoria
Yep; sure is. I found out they are a smidge different (nothing you'd see with a naked eye so I've been told) Most quotes are around 250-275 for sedan -

Thanks guys, I'll give them a ring Chantalle -
Someone I know got frustrated with my P plate falling down off my windscreen, and attempted to force it to stay up but smacked my windscreen with there knuckles, now I have a huge crack that starts in my passenger side top (where the P plate sits) down to my rego label (Bottom passenger side) Can't be fixed as it's a 'spider web crack' not a chip. Is slowly getting larger. Been told it'll take 7-14 days to get one in Bendigo as they don't keep them on hand (unlike the commo's and falcons) Question is: 1) does any one know someone good and cheapish in the western suburbs (pref St Albans/Sunshine/Cairlea ect) that I can get it done at? 2)Will an R34 take another windscreen? I've heard they'll take a Ford Falcon windscreen...true/false? Cheers Chantalle
