    She's A Gone!!!

Well, She's gone, after 2 and a half great years with my trusty R33 GTR, she's now gone to a new owner who I hope will love and cherish her the way I did. Sad to say goodbye but just wasn't fitting in with the life. Must say though, replaced her with something much more sedate and understated but still an excellent car in its own right. Bought a Subaru Liberty 3.0R spec B, great car have to say, classy, smooth, strong and cops don't give me a second look. Can't stand to see GTRs on the street though, makes me sad.
  2. 1996 Series 2 GTR (Dual Airbag model), 95,000 km's, stock apart from the following: - Apexi Induction - Apexi Exhaust system - Bilstein height adjustable coil overs with Cusco pillow ball top mounts - Cusco oil catch tank - Veilside gear knob - Pioneer Six Speaker Stereo Have recently replaced timing belt and water pump. Michelin Pilot Preceda tyres. $38,000.00 ono. Contact 0417112892
  3. I had three people look at my alignment to no avail, it would track to the right constantly and tramline badly, One of them actually said the strut was bent causing a mis-camber. When I eventually changed the tyres to 255/40/17s all round, I had an allignment performed and all is perfect now, tracks true, trams much less and the alligment readout is perfect. And here I was thinking something had been damaged. BTW. car has Bilstein adj. coil overs.
  4. Delrich Lane in bayswater is in the process of an evaluation on one, should be close now as they've had it for a while. It will be for sale soon.

    GTS T or GTR???

That doesn't sound that surprising to me, last time the GTR was in for some work, they leant me a mildly worked S2 GTS-T to go to work and the thing felt as quick as the GTR. Felt very different overall but in terms of accelleration...........not much in it. Now having the exhaust done, feels like it'd struggle against a stockie.
  6. Nick, There's a wrecked 33 GTR in a Baywater dealer which has an untouched 29K RB26 in it, let me know if you're still looking for one and I can find out if it's still available. They are interested in selling it as the car is a write off.

    Daalder Exhaust?

Cocoa, paid $227 for res and test, don't know if that's what others paid but I asked 4 other places and they were all above $300 to get the SPL below 90. Happy enough what with a reduction of power an' all. Ahh.....compromises.

    Daalder Exhaust?

Hey I just had them install their 2 foot long invention into my Apexi, makes apparently 90db (I didn't see the readout), Sounds good, resonable price, good service, GTR feels like a Corolla now though.
  9. Sorry guys, I beleive they do not fit a GTST as the rear mounts are very different. Someone may be able to confirm this but I'm quite sure.
  10. OK Really want to sell these, and as I haven't had them on a car and can't guarantee the ride quality or condition, if anyone is interested, $650.00 for the set of 4.
  11. Anybody know much about resonators? I have to have the car tested by the EPA for noise, and not sure whether to go silencer or resonator. It needs to be effective to the tune of about 8 - 9 db and I want whatever would sap the least power. if anybody knows, much appreciated. P.S. They tested SPL at 5,000rpm, sounds high to me, wonder if anyone knows if this is the correct method of measurement or were they just trying to be a pain. Thanks.
  12. Guys, If they're exactly the same as those I had (which they look to be), they are very firm, they were actually dropped of to me this afternoon and they seem quite good. When on the softest setting, they seem to make a little noise when cold which is what mine used to do. I spoke to the Apexi distributors in Vermont and they told me that this model was always like this, It normally took a couple of K's for them to quieten down, don't know if this is true, don't know why they'd lie to me though. Don't have the tools unfortunately and also don't know where they are servicable. I'd imaging the Apexi place I spoke to in Vermont, can't remember the name. Anyway, again, around B grade roads through some burbs, can be fairly tiring, once the speed rises or the corners need to be taken with aggression, they are fantastic performers. They'd be brilliant on the track. If anyone is interested, I'll take $780.00 as they're just sitting there taking up space. Cheers guys.
