  1. Alas, yes, I thought I'd be pushing a steaming pile up a hill with a pointy stick... I have spend hours sifting through threads on this great forum but sometimes it's easier to just ask the question directly (even if it has been asked since Adam & Eve were around)
  2. Hey guys and girls! My boss lady has given me around $600 to spend on my 89' R32 GTS-T Skyline. I'm hoping to find a reliable bolt-on turbo upgrade within the budget? I'm running a blitz tuned computer, high flow exhaust, pod filter, front mount intercooler and adjustable boost controller, running the standard turbo and around 11psi boost. Can anyone suggest a good reliable turbo upgrade so I can get rid of the STD ceramic turbo and wind up the boost reliably?!?!? Cheers Adam
  3. Hey guys, Looking for an Alternator for a RB20 if anyone has one to sell?
  4. Really appreciate all your help and advice guys, the previous owner didn’t treat her too good so it may be an ideal time to look at putting some new hoses and pipes on her, maybe the wife will cook me dinner again now I don’t need to replace/rebuild the turbo!!
  5. Hi guys, I've tinkered with cars the last 15 years or so but only recently ventured into turbo engines buying a R32 GTST. Taking her for a cruse today the turbo let out an almighty hiss, a large puff of black smoke out the exhaust then the engine died. I tried to start her again and a real nasty strong burning plastic smell flooded the car, on inspection one of my intercooler pipes had come loose on the intake side of the turbo (the clamp broke) Once I put the pipe back together with a spare clamp she started fine, didn't blow any smoke and ran well but was low on boost, sat on around -5 on the factory gauge sitting on 60kph and boosted up to about +5 when I accelerated (standard engine and turbo running 13psi) I pulled the intake and exhaust off the turbo when I got home to check the impellers but both appear ok and no broken bits. Any one shed any light of what may have happened before I sink money into her blindly?? I have found much great info from this Skyline bible so far but could not see any threads similar to this so I apologise in advance if this has been covered before. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Adam
  6. G'day mate, Do you have the interior door skins for sale? Cheers
  7. Big Al done my Skyline late September last year but he may have lost it since. Have heard the Caltex servo opposite the Olde Tudor is 'very good'...... wink wink..... also.
  8. I'm far from an expert on all things air con but i'll have a go! If the clutch in your compressor only works every now and then it could be more an issue with the compressor (either electrical or mechanical fault) Have also read before that low gas levels can make the air con play up
  9. Big shout out to all who have contributed to this thread, thank you all, it has saved me a lot of time, sweat and my kids ears from swear words!!! Also found my mode motor had the same connection issues as the blend motor.
  10. Partyboy73, thanks for you PM, I dont have enough posts to message you back, could you please shoot me an email address so I can communicate in return?? Cheers
  11. Hi all, Looking to buy the Heater control motor that controls the air flow for the heater settings for a 1989 R32 GTST, its the little motor on the drivers side of the center console that changes the air flow from feet to face to windscreen etc. Cheers and thanks
