  1. Did a quick search on Nissan forums and tout this might help.Sounds like it could be a faulty wire. http://www.nissanforums.com/truck-suv/68263-t-cont-fuse-help.html Good luck
  2. No I didn't wash between each stage! Never seemed to have crossed my mind =o I generally do clean the rims with acid cleaner(also meguiars) but ran out a few weeks ago so just brushed off as much as I could I've never thought about the engine bay nor air vents, with the vents Id go over the top with the bristle attachment of the vacuum cleaner lol.Again I've never used buffers or machines. A bit of an eerie thought for me since I wouldn't have that technique on using them properly Next time I'll definitely work on the engine bay and inside of the petrol lid, cheers Johnno.Have you booked in to get your wisdoms taken out yet? It's been since Wednesday and my face is still swollen chubby haha. Oh I forgot to ask have you fixed that door/skirt issue?
  3. After spending the past few days off work due to having my wisdom teeth taken out,I thought it would be a good opportunity to detail the car fully instead of only managing to Do half the job on a Sunday morning, which still at the end of it - feels good but incomplete. Overall spent a good solid 4 hours or so doing each step by hand ( could have taken much longer but seeming that I had already clay barred the car only a few months ago it didn't need all that much this time over) From what I can see hardly any swirl marks or deep scratches and the pearl in the paint has so much more depth and gloss since when the 34 was first bought Reason for the post is to see if there could be any areas i can improve on, or to show others results of a good days work :)Note: didn't manage to take photos of before unfortunately. ------------------------------------- Process/products used: Wash/dry: Meguiars next gen shampoo, dried off with Meguiars super-glide chamois Clay bar: Meguiars quick clay kit > wiped down with 100% cotton cloth or supreme shine microfiber cloth. Cut/polish: Meguiars ultimate compound > again wiped down with 100% cotton cloth or supreme shine microfiber cloth. Wax: Meguiars next gen liquid wax ( left to sit for an hour to be sure it set, worked on areas listed below) and wiped down with supreme shine microfiber cloth. * for door trims and seals - Meguiars dash trim and restorer. * glass/windows - no smear glass cleaner. * headlights - Meguiars PlastiX. * tyres/sidewalls - Meguiars xtreme tyre shine.
  4. Unfortunately I haven't bought anything from them, yet. I know when the time come for me to get a bonnet I would buy it off here.Yeah I like the cross factory kits, the closest to them that people would have would be the nismo ones I'd say. Yeah black would be mint but I would paint mine pearl white to keep it clean looking If anyone has used rhd before, any feedback would be awesome
  5. yeah its a definate option for me now, just buy it > fit it on and in the event that i manage to find the real deal - boom bought and swapped. just wish there were more options for side skirts/bumpers for the sedans as there are for the coupes. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/229629-r34-sedan-body-kits/ another thread on body kits http://www.rhdjapan.com/east-bear-frp-bonnet-er34-skyline-51694 i have been eying off this bonnet for half a year now, i dont mind the look of the east bear kits. but apparantley the bonnet will only fit to a east bear front http://www.rhdjapan.com/ if you haven't browsed though rhdjapan, its got a few neat items lying around.
  6. Thanks for that Stephen, looks like i've gotta try again. When i've got the motivation! imo i did my okay considering it was the first time i've used the stuff but damn not looking forward to starting again lol
  7. fuark thats cheap! yeah thats along the same thing im looking for. As far as i know it's a top secret bumper (made for gtr) but fitted for a gtt.only the two end bolts were holding it up until the other week when i drilled a hole through one side so i could raise it up alittle because it was sagging alittle around the headlights. [being second australian owner cant find any reciepts from previous driver buying or installing the bumper, so i can only assume it was put on in japan.] this is top secrets gtr which is the lip i want to acquire but cant manage to find it anywhere, will the universal one fit maybe? http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=top+secret+r34+gtr-r&um=1&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-au:IE-Address&rlz=1I7TSHN&biw=1280&bih=718&tbm=isch&tbnid=9f-7n-CZF_64BM:&imgrefurl=http://www.nengun.com/top-secret/aero-bonnet&docid=bi0gXy_DwgqiuM&imgurl=http://image.nengun.com/catalogue/original/nengun-2907-02-topsecret-aero_bonnet.jpg&w=600&h=380&ei=wSyyTqWDGK-PiAf826iHAg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=299&sig=109981608516531485216&page=1&tbnh=164&tbnw=244&start=0&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=126&ty=116
  8. yeah bro thats me haha yeah mine didnt come with a lip, ive been looking around like crazy to find one, also probably looks like somethings missing because it's a non-turbo > no FMIC. all in due time though hopefully..
  9. Hey guys, ive been meaning to reply back for a few months now. just never had the time ive noticed with the heat coming through now that summer is around the corner the glue from the vinyl has loosened and is slowly peeling back off (top strip above the A/C unit and around the gauges in the dash bezel. any ideas on how to keep them down? Greatly appreciated
  10. there we go sorry.. guess sau doesn't work 100% on ipad 2 yet.
  11. +1 to johnnoHaving the top secret bumper really sets it apart, I've got it on my pearl white 25gt(sedan) and bystanders still think its a gtr at times.Note: did remove the 's' badge and just have factory skirts/bumper If anyone knows of any bonnets that are still painted ( would like to keep that subtle look) let me know
  12. Interested to know if its a series 1 or 2 cluster? pretty much keen on just the gauges idealy.
  13. yeah I accidentally managed to unscrew that screw, ending up buying a new one and wrapping the cover. I've managed to get my hands on the cluster bezel in the dash - wrapped that which i'll try and upload a photo soon (still getting the hang of wrapping around edges/corners) Purchased some blue leds from 666dan. also having a series 2 I thought i'd try remove the orange illumination film on the back of the gauges, not so good of an idea - fuel gauge/speedo are misreading. didnt end up removing the film either so i've got to learn to keep my hands away from fragile objects lol.
  14. hello SAU, chasing after a set of weathersheilds for my r34 4door. any information on a approximate cost that i'll be looking around, any place that could possibly make an order or if anyone has a spare set laying around would be great.
  15. Hey Cheif, i love your work and i've managed to get my hands on a couple meters of the wrap, unfortunatley being abit too eager i've taken off the rear-view mirror and cant seem to put it back in place. any tips or advice on how you can clip it back on? driving without it is quite entertaining
  16. okay i've gotten word from the mech, and unfortunatley for me it's not a good sign. upon draining the box metal shards/debris was mong the oil, ballbearings need to be redone, one of the cogs (didn't ask which one) is badly damaged needing a replacement aswell (phone was cutting in and out of reception so didn't hear details of it fully) and the selectors definatley need to be replaced. overall looking at 2.6k - with them dropping and installing the box. still unsure what cause it (general wear and tear or possibly how the previous owner may have driven it) thought i'd keep you guys updated incase anyone else were to have similar problems and could have a little info into what they could be looking at to repair it. to be honest i thought i'd rather fix up this box so i'd have a peace of mind knowing that this one wouldnt (hopefully) break down on me instead of purchasing a second hand one not knowing it's history. Cheers SAU,
  17. Thanks for the info Webber, hopefully within the next few days ill have a chance to look into it and let you know how it went.!
  18. Hello all, Having a 2000 r34 25GT (Non-turbo) - (also being a first car [P-Plater] i tried to manage to take my time in choosing a well-maintained, clean skyline) trying to reverse out of work 2 days ago, put it in reverse it wouldnt move - as if the clutch was in fully and gravity was doing it's normal thing (no grinding, rattling or strange noises) after putting it back into neutral, pumping the clutch and trying again thinking it might not have fully been put in it's almost as if there is a wall stopping the shifter from putting it into reverse, or 5th. handed the car over to the mechanic to switch over some new brake pads and front discs, got him to check externally and couldn't see any damage or not debris stopping the shifter from above the centre consle.. basically coming to the point where they've got to drop out the gearbox and have a look internally to find out whats wrong with it.. (quoted to cost me anythign between 1-3grand) which unfortunatley i do not have.. curious to know if anyone else has had similar problems, ive had a little read up on a few peoples issues on other sites (loose linkages/shifters or selector issues) and costs of these issues to fixed. any help would be greatly Appreciated!!
  19. hey champion, being curious but did i see your 34 featured in PI? (vol.133)
