  1. Well done for having the courage to start this thread. There is another Australian based performance orientated forum that has some very deep conversations on similar matters. There is a lot of sharing and advice that makes one recognise that they are not alone. Experience is showing that there should be a limited access subsection for discussion on such matters to limit public exposure (trolls and vindictive people etc). Certainly it is a very healthy discussion to have. All the best. Lincoln.
  2. Sensible discussion with lots of freely given hard learned info. Didn't know Sau still had it in it? Hat tipped good sirs.
  3. Long time reader.... first time pulling one apart. I am giving the GTR a birthday with new timing belt (and braces). I was told car had HKS 264 cams and under the covers there are cams stamped with "HKS" but no other markings ("RB2" is cast into the blanks). Curiously, the inlet cam (greddy cam sprockets) is set to 10deg advanced and exhaust is set straight up. As I dont have a long nose dial indicator to hand and I am lazy, is it conceivable that someone (who knows what they are doing) would end up with these settings on a dyno? I was thinking of returning them to typical +4/-2. Car has R34 N1 turbos that I want to run about 20psi. Thanks Lincoln.
  4. Duncan, sorry for the hassle. Do you happen to know the part number for the stud?
  5. Much appreciated. Going to change it as a precaution when doing timing belt etc. I would guess the original one would be a little tired
  6. I am not near the car until the weekend but got this from vicroads rego check so I assume it is correct 6U9000BNR32303809
  7. Thanks. I will get the VIN. Much appreciated for your efforts again.
  8. Thanks for the effort. Does the vspec change the part number from regular 32 because of different crank?
  9. Hi, Could someone please provide me with part number for R32 gtr 1993 vspec balancer and bolt. Much appreciated. Lincoln
  10. Mate just sent me this from SEMA too. Looks the goods. He is hanging out for GTX35 version august next year.
  11. I will take it. PM or email me your bank or paypal details. [email protected] Thanks.
  12. Hello all, Sorry to tread through old ground.... would like to get this done. Anyone know who still does it? Or anyone want to sell as with everyone going to big singles there must be some lying around Thanks Lincoln.
  13. Hey guys, Unsure where to place a wanted ad? Modified divided twin turbo Y pipe for RB26. With everyone going to big singles there must be some lying around Thanks Lincoln.
  14. Hi all, I have a grumbling just started in the release bearing and want to replace the clutch plates, rear main, input shaft seal at the same time.... I have a surface grinder at work so should be able to re-use the pressure and intermediate (twin plate) plates and the flywheel... As I want to smash it out over a weekend I would like to have the plates already but am finding some holes in my knowledge. I have an invoice from the previous owner from Unique Auto Sports that shows "one reconditioned OS GIKEN twin plate" fitted 2009 and car certainly rattles like a twin plate . Car in a VSpec 32 06/93 which I am told is a pull type clutch. My questions are; 1. New plates from where? 2. Do OS GIKEN do a pull type clutch or am I expecting to find a pull-push conversion in there? 3. Release bearing? I think it uses a standard GTR one but the above question will effect. Thanks for any help.... happy to buy off anyone who provides the correct information.
  15. Worked again. I buy from Aussie suppliers because; 1. Their Aussie. 2. When they say they have stock they have stock. 3. They are good at communication. When you only get one out of three... Well then people look elsewhere.
  16. This worked last time - please call me - Lincoln.

  18. What do you know? Just received an email from him.... said he has broken some bones in his hand.
  19. Account has not been online for a month. Had contact with them up until abut two weeks ago about an order. I am pretty sure they are not going to rip me off but some communication would be good.... unless there is something quite bad happened to them and then I understand the lack of communication.
  20. Anyone know how to get in touch with them? Email box full and phone to answering machine.
  21. Got it. Thanks for the explanation. Sorry it took me so long. Keep it on boost up the hills!!!
  22. "Then answer to that brain bender is that I am referring to light loads and off boost drivability. At idle and low speed cruise, less atmosphere caused the map sensor to move about 500 on the PIM scale towards 0psi. This meant that the tune that was stable at sea level would end up rich when at altitude. It didn't matter what map sensor I used. Apexi 3 bar, apexi 3.5 bar, GM 3 bar. They all handled atmospheric change terribly. In short the rate if any that they did work differently did not even remotely work with the FC." Yeah nah brain still broken. Does not compute with my thoughts about map sensors. I understand aftermarket ecu's needing barometric compensation on NA cars when running a tps vs rpm map. But barometric compensation over a djetro map which already runs manifold pressure vs rpm map has me stumped.
